Reviews for Overcoming OCD

If you know anyone suffering from ROCD, this is the book for them. OCD is a complex disorder and dealing with it with the help of a book is possible, but not easy. Dr. Punjabi has converted scientific information into an easy to understand, digestible format and has simplified the process of therapy for sufferers, so that you can work on your ROCD from the comfort of your home. Through examples, analogies and metaphors he explains nuances of ROCD that you may not find in other books. I will surely recommend this to my patients who struggle with ROCD and anyone else who wants to know more about the disorder.
- Dr. Astik Mane (Psychiatrist)

This book is a must-read for people struggling with ROCD. It discusses the three types of ROCD and explains the corresponding obsessions and compulsions. It is an interactive book that offers a step-by-step approach to treating this condition. Moreover, it is comprehensive, straightforward, practical and an excellent resource for therapists who treat OCD. Dr. Punjabi writes like he's present within the book, inspiring and motivating the reader to make sense of the disorder and change things around for themselves. In addition, he expertly involves the partner throughout, helping them identify the symptoms of their loved one's ROCD and how to manage it. Finally, after taking his readers through the basics, Dr. Punjabi skilfully incorporates an eclectic approach using the evidence-based exposure-response prevention with Mindfulness, ACT and other values-based principles. A book worth investing in, highly recommended.
- Carol Edwards, (Author, OCD Coach)

The level of depth in this book is just amazing! The information provided on relationship OCD is by far the most in-depth I’ve seen anywhere. The book goes into so much detail that one would have very limited questions left. I love the idea of the worksheets, the analogies used that make the understanding simpler and the ‘letting doubts remain unsolved’ part. Dr. Punjabi has successfully managed to compile the principles of therapy together into a readable source which is absolutely astonishing. This book is definitely capable of helping someone recover even without therapy, which is incredible. I wish, wish, wish I had something like this when I was struggling. Dr.
