THE LIMELIGHT IS BRIGHT AND SHINY. BUT WILL IT WARM YOU AND GET YOU THROUGH THE NIGHT?
In Paris, Curtis McLeod is trying to turn himself from the self-taught author from rural Missouri into the screenwriter he always desired to be. But fixing the script for a film starring a shooting star who has fallen from grace isn’t far up from another last straw. Until they strike up an unlikely companionship much to the pleasing of the studio bosses.
Despite living an ostensible dream life in the limelight of Hollywood, Curtis continuously flees to Europe – with Hotel Elysée in the center of his endeavors. Finding a home away from home with the artists and creative people, Curtis explores new passions. But he’s also running away from the life he’s dreamed of.
Torn between places and people, Curtis starts wondering if his life is as shiny and glamorous as it may look in the tabloids – or rather a delusion that cannot last.
