The story of a family of seven siblings, who as they go about their daily business suddenly are confronted with the revelation of a serious crime that happened decades ago. Each respond to the new situation differently, according to his or her individual temperament. The setting is an unnamed Midwestern town in the USA, at the close of the last century.
This novel reads quickly because it follows a Family mystery. I really enjoyed it, such a natural read, with lots of conversational moments between characters. Some of the passages are beyond insightful, about relationships and people. It's time well spent. I'm reading two other books simultaneously and the pull was to continue with Befallen, it won so to speak, bravo.
