I liked this book, but think the second half was much too rushed! I would have liked to have read Corey's experience of having the plastic surgery and how her life changed instead of just being told about it. We needed to go through her emotional journey during that pivotal moment. The reveal of Corey being Lily's daughter was done without any actual conversation between the two women about the choices they made and what they suffered. We get told they had this conversation but the reader doesn't get to experience it. Corey's relationship with Stephen is resolved off screen, we never get to see them get their happy ending. We're just told they do. Same with the evil Grant. We are told he get's punished for his crimes but we should have seen Lily and Corey working together to bring him down. Loved the premise of this book and the writing style, but it really would have benefited from being a larger book.
