What a debut! I was glued to my kindle, I even took it to the gym! It sure made cardio a lot of fun.
Kylie has come from a long bloodline of police officers and has followed in their footsteps but as a lead detective. She is going undercover and has been thrown into a world I think she knew existed but never imagined dabbling in herself.
Jameson is a well-known businessman. He has his own mission and alias that is hidden from his everyday mantra.
I loved the mystery between these two and found the story pretty amazing how it evolved. What I thought was pretty neat as well is the fact that we get three points of view with this story. It kind of pulled at my heartstrings for a moment but that soon went away.
The only reason I gave it four and a half feathers is the fact that I have a lot of questions. I felt as if there was a lot of information left out BUT still an amazing story.

This is an new author for me to read from. And I loved it.
Kylie Sanders is an Police Detective. She came from a line of law enforcement. Her Father and family are all in law. Kylie has to go undercover for an assignment. And as a escort for Miss Magdalene. She's good at her job and takes it very serious. There are ladies of the evening being
killed one after another and they are all dropping like flies. Her first undercover client she is to have sex with seems to be a very desirable man.
In walks Mr. Freedman. The hot man that likes to use toys and is the roughest of all the men the peruse Miss Magdalene's. He always wears a mask. Just hearing about him gives Kylie an ache between her thighs. He's a high paying client and gets to chose who he wants for the evening. Usually at the Ritz Carlton. But Mr. Freedman is sort of undercover himself. He is a very wealthy
businessman and doesn't use his real name. But Rayven Bridges, Detective Kylie Sanders, has filled out her paperwork for Miss Magdalene and she has no hard limits. Wrong move! Jameson Kincaid, Mr. Freedman chooses to pay off to have Rayven all the time and must be ready anytime he wants her.
Omg! The sex in the book is so hot its has the pages of the book wet from me slobbering all over it.
Jameson is one hell of a hot man and dayum your gonna love him too. The book has a great story line to it. The Suspense is so good that you'll fall into the story and never want to leave. And it is not a book that is nothing but sex but when it does happen MERCY! Kylie and Jameson and the other characters are so well developed. You'll love them all.
I gave this 5* for the way the book draws me in and holds me there. Also its not just sex it has a good story too. (BUT THE SEX IS FREAKING GREAT IN IT).

So this is a debut book from Author KB Bennett, which is a pen name for these two authors who are a husband and wife team. I am familiar with the wife's works so I had no problem going into and reading this book. As I enjoy her other books. I do also want to say the blurb for this book really doesn't give a anything about this book away. So I wasn't really sure what I was getting into when I started reading it.
I will say that if you enjoy 50 shades of grey-ish type books than you'll enjoy this one. Its not really fair to compare this to 50 shades, because its not like that. But if you like Kink in your books than you'll probably like this one. Now not saying I don't like Kink in my books, because I do.
I liked Jameson and Kylie in this book, I did. But not sure if I liked them together. I never really felt a connection between them or passion. They kind of felt more like maybe best friends to each other. And also even though I liked Kylie, at the same time I kind of felt like she had no personality.
I do want to say that I did enjoy this book and that it was definitely a page turner. And there were definitely some hot scenes. The characters were also likable. I will say this though the book just kind of turned weird for me towards the end.
I'm giving this book 3.5 Stars out of 5!!!!

Who is Jameson? What does he do for a living? Who is Celeste? There is a little run of lines that you see a number of times throughout the book. Memories of Jameson. Who is Penny? How does Jameson know her? What is their relationship, if any? Who are Magdalene, How does Kylie know Jenny? I had to grin at Rayven. When you find out who Rayven is you will understand. Why are Kylie and her siblings going over to their mothers house for a spaghetti dinner on this particular night? Who is the mystery person that pops up in the book and what are they doing that catches the attention of a lot of people? When a fundraiser is held, and Rayven goes, why is she there? Who is Mr. Freedman? How does he figure out who Rayven is? What thing has happened in the past for both of them that has driven them to where they are today? Who are the Red Skulls? What do we learn about them? You REALLY need to read this book. Wow. Such a thrilling read!

The storyline draws you in from the beginning and makes you not want to stop reading. The storyline is filled with murders of escorts, a serial killer on the loose, dedicated police detective that goes undercover work as an escort to find a killer, billionaires with dark sexual needs, and lots of suspense. The twists and turns within the story kept you guessing about how the story will continue. Jameson has a dark side but you are able to see that underneath his rough exterior he does have a heart and very much a protective alpha male and Kiley is a police detective that is trying to find a serial killer and right from the beginning they feel a connection to each other. The book was written very well with the very developed characters. I am looking forward to another book from this author.

Holy moly! I had work to do today, thought I would just get a few chapters in first! Yeah right, I inhaled this book in one sitting! I could not put it down, I was drawn in from the first page.....and I didn't want to put it down! I needed to find out where this was going and how it would end.
The connection between the two main characters is just beautiful and hot and my heart went out to them both as it becomes apparent they have both suffered great losses. Jameson finds himself breaking his own rules to get closer to Kylie and he will stop at nothing to keep her safe from harm. The twists and turns are enough to give you whiplash but the pain is so worth it! And I did not see that twist at the end!!

5 Dark, Dirty and Thrilling Stars for High Stakes
Fantastic debut that is the perfect mix of police procedural, serial killers, high end escort service, billionaires, broken childhoods, gangs, plot twists and hot sex.
Call me greedy because I already want more. Kiley, a police detective, is pretty much the perfect heroine and her best friend, Jessie, is a character I want more of. The men are a great mix of alpha, protective, loving, surprising. The plot is different in a refreshing way and the twists are fantastic!
I will definitely be watching for more from this author.

This one should have came with a mind f*** warning!!..lol I didnt see either parts of the wtf who did it coming till it was at that moment and I love when that happens. I didnt know that this was a team writing effort but it was so beautifully done. We get two...not just one character that is damaged and in their search for truth and justice find their way to each other and find out just how good some broken pieces come together.

This book is such an amazing, sexy, action packed read! I didn't want to put this awesome book down! I loved the twists the author(s) delivers, it kept me guessing until the very end! I can't wait to see what K.B. Bennett gives up next!!

Mr Freedman.....his heart is gold.
Although Jameson has a dark side, he has heart. He just needed his other half for it to beat. I loved both Characters in this book. Well written. Would love to hear more on the chauffeur? Hmmmm... Will he get his book?

First time reading from this duo. And I must say it was a great read. Was very suspenseful and shocking. Did not imagine it ending the way it did. He was the last person I expected! Kylie and Jameson are amazing! And that ending was perfect! I will say I would love to read more from K.B. Bennett.

I could not put this book down! I read it in one sitting from cover to cover. I fell in love with the characters straight away. Their deep love for each other and their trust was beautiful.

Kylie is a smart detective and she comes from a very long line of law enforcement. She takes a undercover position and finds herself smack dab in the middle of a high profile case that is leading her down a dangerous road.
Jameson he is a high profile business man that has maintained his personal and professional life separate . He uses an alias in his personal life to maintain that cloak of amenity . In my reviews I try to avoid spoilers. Or reiterating the book blurb. Y'all should have already read the blurb if nothing else. Anyway, our heroine is lawfully good, meaning she is a police detective and she believes in being a good person. But, she finds out vanilla isn't very arousing to her. So, beauty meets a beast.
World building in general; what kind of contracts does our hero negotiate? We never really learn what he does but he took the company from his father; which is an important issue to our hero. Jameson is our H and the important people in his life are so one dimensional. Brent who gathers Intel and is his driver, speaks in what I feel is monotone.
Kylie is our heroine. Really, sorry I just don't care for her. There is no substance. No meat to her personality. Even undercover she has no personality. The only thing she has is she is open to new sexual experiences.
Steam was okay. Solving the crime in the end felt like an afterthought. As I said before, I adore Colbie Kay. I knew eventually I would get something she worked on I am not a fan of. It happens.

I was told about this book from an author friend of mine and I thought yes I will read it and see if I liked it , well I totally ignored my work for the day and ignored my husband that night reading it and loving it.
We have Kylie, an undercover detective who is from a long line of cops, she decided to do what she dies after her sister is taken from her side never to be found.

He has his own issues to get thru. He is super rich and sexy alpha male. He wants is escorts a certain way. So with these two meeting stirs up emotions for each. Jameson wants what he wants in the bedroom and in buiness. Read their crazy adventures solving murders and finding their way to each other. Breaking down their walls from the past to build a future together. Most definitely there us High Stakes for everyone involved.

Was not expecting that turn. Loved the start and still wasn't expecting that. I let my mind so I didn't get ahead of myself. Short but it gets to the point.
