This book is about singer Beyoncé. Born I 1981 to Matthew and Tina Knowles September 4th in Houston Texas. Beyoncé started out performing in talent shows at a young age, at the age of 7 she profomed John Lennons "Imagine" and she re aimed standing ovation. A year later was apart of a girls group called "Girls tyme" As a young child pro forming Beyoncé gained a lot of television exposure with her girls group performing. In 1996 Destiny Child was developed group Beyoncé father had put together and they released there first album a year later. Although the group went through some shifts and replacements Beyoncé still remained the center of attention with her beauty and out standing voice. Although the group Destiny Child had two platinum albums and is still the best record selling girls group ever in 2001 Beyoncé took her talent to another level by becoming solo. Beyoncé career took off landing movie rolls, playing Cleopatra in movie "Cadillac Records" and staring in movie "Austin Powers" in 2002 Beyoncé began dating famous rapper Jay-Z, following up in 2003 her first solo album which sold more than 5 million copies. Beyoncé has a lot to bring to the table si gong the national anthem in 2004 at the super bowl, leading up to her winning 5 Grammy awards as best R&B songs. In 2005 Beyoncé opens up her very own fashion line "Dareon" in 2006 Beyoncé stars in tow other films " Black panther and Dream girls" following up her second solo album Bday which remained as the number one songs for 10 weeks. 2007 Beyoncé wins more Grammys from her album Bday and a year later marries Jay-Z. The ending of this books ends with the honor of Beyoncé performing at the igauguaration of president Barack Obama , and also earning the NAAC image award of out standing female artist. Also ending in 2009 she has a would tour proforming songs from album "I am" then later landing the roll playing in movie "Obsessed. The ending of 2009 Beyoncé has a would tour "I am Sasha FIerce" proforming live in Edmonton, Alberta, and Canada.
The litary of this book had a bit a big vocabulary great for sixth grader readers, the book was filled with paragraph but could make it a little fun for the readers because there were pictures of Beyoncé through out the book.
I gave this book 5 stars because the book was in great order from Beyoncé child hood career to her great success following g up till 2009.
