Margo He was football royalty, the greatest quarterback Wisconsin had seen in generations. And he was all mine. We were young and in love, both beautiful and strong in our own unique ways. Then the accident took it all away. The accident left him wounded, ended his career. He shut everyone out, including me. I hadn’t seen him for years—but I never forgot him. How could I forget him when no other man can even compare? Jay There she was at the airport with her brother. My heart was pounding. It was Margo, after all this time. The attraction was just as strong as before. We come together with explosive chemistry, but I can’t help pushing her away. She’s so beautiful and she deserves a man who is whole, who she can trust. But she’s mine and won’t let go. I don’t know if I’m strong enough to walk away from her again. Will we be strong enough this time to face things together, or will the pain tear us apart forever?

Another great read by Aria. loved the chemistry between these two characters. It totally had me hooked from the first page. I would recommend this book. Very well written.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Margo and jay were childhood sweethearts and he was her brother's best friend. He was a talented footballer and played for the NFL whilst Margo was a beauty and a model for a make up company. They have made a pact to never go to each other's work - she never sees him play unless it's on TV later and he doesn't go to her photo shoots. But she hears from her brother that jay has been severely injured in a match and his career may be over. Margo never hears from him again as he ghosts her totally. She is devastated and can't get on with her life as she still loves him and , believe it or not, but he still loves her but doesn't feel worthy of her. Four years later, he comes home for his dad's birthday and he sees her at the airport with her brother. But he continues to push her away and won't give her the answers that she needs to hear from him and really that they both need to talk about. There is a great deal going on in this latest story by Aria Ford. She has created a great storyline with interesting characters and secrets. Whilst I did feel so sorry for jay, he really needed to not give up on himself and others who loved him. he's so unhappy doing that - so it's obviously not working so why not embrace his loved ones instead?? Margo seems to almost 'let him' push her away again and again which, in a way may have encouraged his behaviour. But does she continue like this or does she decide to take him at his word and evict him from her heart? Can she do this? Will jay be happy if she turns away and leaves him alone forever?? This is a good story although I did want to give them both a 'mental shake' to grow up a bit and see what is really the important things that they want in life. I will, however, be looking forward to Aria's next story.I received a reader's copy of the book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.
"I could fantasize as much as I wanted but I wasn't budging on this. Margo was better without me."
Who doesn't love a good second chance story? This is a sweet story of love, heartbreak, bad choices, misunderstandings, and happily-ever-after!
Margo Lawrence loved him. He was her everything. Until he disappeared without a word. The last she knew, her NFL boyfriend was injured during a game and carted off the field. After that, he was gone. That was almost four years ago and she still had no idea what happened or where he was. Until now. He's back and she wants answers. But, more than that, she wants him. But, why does he keep pushing her away? Should she just let him go again, or stand and fight for him?
Jay Locke had it all - A promising career as an NFL quarterback, a model girlfriend, and more. When he suffers a catastrophic injury during a game, he sees it all slipping away. No longer able to play, and his body no longer what it once was, he sees himself as unworthy of her and nothing more than a burden. He had no choice. He had to let her go, so he disappeared. She deserves better than what he'd become. That was almost four years ago and he's never stopped loving her. Now, he's back in town and she's more beautiful than he remembers. Can he resist the temptation of rekindling their romance? How could she ever want to be with him the way he is now? Should he let her go a second time , or dare to believe they have a chance?
Great theme of a man who avoids love since he lost the use of one of his leg, but finds hope when he meets again his ex girlfriend that he had abandonned 3 years ago without any explantion. I find that the thoughts of the main characters are really well explain and it was clear to understand how Jay, can feel after what happened to him. The problem I found is that, sometimes, the characters were in so much tergiversation with what to do or what to think, that I just wanted to shake them. Loosing the hability of one of his leg after an injury, Jay, a football player, just disappeared of his usual life, friend and girlfriend, Margo, but she never forgot him and he still misses her. When they meet again, they’re immediatly attracted but he still think that she will be better without him. He has a so poor self image, low self-esteem, that he’s struggling between trying a relation and running away from giving a try. Moreover, Margo is a model and he just sees himself as a monster, so he thinks he doesn’t deserve to be with her. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I received and Advanced Reader Copy of the book and here is my honest review Whilst I really enjoyed the first part of the book, the middle section seemed to get a bit lost, Jay was a professional football player and Margo his girlfriend was a model, they were torn apart when Jay was injured in a football game and he just disappeared. Fast forward 4 years and they both still think about each other. Jay comes home for his father's birthday and see's Margo at the airport, they do meet up and things quickly go back to how they were (almost), Jay injured his leg and now needs crutches to help him get around, the self pity he has for himself gets a bit much during the middle of the story, he feels like everyone is looking at him and doesn't like it. Margo is still heartbroken and unsure if she should start having feeling again for him, he is only there for a week and he will just leave again. Towards the end of the book the story gets better and felt more comfortable to read. Please don't get me wrong the story is still good and well worth reading.
This a second chance love story about Margo and Jay. They dated for some time and Jay was a successful professional football quarterback who had a career ending injury and went MIA and left his life without an explanation. Margo could not understand his leaving and moved on as best as she could. Four years later while Margo is at the airport picking up her brother, Lance they see Jay and are shocked. This are a bit awkward and starts both of them thinking about each other. Margo is model for a makeup company and seems to be very confident in her work but everyday she is a done to earth person. The two have many misunderstandings that lead to some heartache and hurt feelings. Jay has permanent damage to his leg and feels like he is not whole or deserving to have a woman like Margo. Can Margo show Jay that she loves him for who he is and will Jay wake up and see Margo for the woman she is? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
No words can do justice to the way this book makes me feel. It is so beautifully written that I was enthralled from first to last page. Jay Locke is a star pro-football player, handsome, rich with everything to live for. When a devastating injury leaves him paralyzed in one leg and his career over, he retires to live a quiet life out of the limelight. Beautiful Margo Lawrence has been in a loving relationship with Jay before he disappears without explanation. She feels worthless and unlovable and tries to move on. Jay who loves Margo, left because he felt that he would be a burden to her and that she deserved better than him. Four years later Jay is back in town and Margo wants answers. “Unbroken” is a superbly written, steamy, heart-wrenching read. If you'd love to read a beautiful, frustrating story that will keep you at the edge of your seat, “Unbroken” is for you. Don't miss it. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A different them than usually with second chance romances. I like that the author takes disability and blends it with romance and passion. All have the right to find your HEA. This is also a really well written story with great storyline and plot. The chemistry is amazing and the story keeps you on the edge at times. At a point the constant change of minds of the characters annoyed me a bit.
Likeable characters that are well described. I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That makes the story even more emotional and captivating.
Be still my beating heart~ (sigh) Jay was the best and then his whole life changed. To be taken from the top and feel like you are only a body and a title has got to be unbelievably depressing. We all feel insufficient or have self loathing at times but Jay's story is absolutely heartbreaking.
Margo was in love with Jay and then he just disappeared. No explanation, no contact....just gone. But life can be sneaky and when Margo and Jay least expect it, then bump into each other with zing of remembrance, both emotional and physical.
Their story is an emotional mess at times and touching at others. Well written with characters I could identify with. It touched my soul.
I really enjoyed this one. It could have been a total cliché from the very beginning, but manages to escape that completely. Margo is a model, but has complexes about her physique, lacks self confidence and is very shy. Jay, the football player, is left handicapped, also lacks in confidence and has plenty of complexes of his own. Neither of them is superficial in any way, and the character work is amazing. The whole story is sweet, a beautiful meeting of souls who understand one another beautifully and who are also to forgive mistakes and misunderstandings. I was hooked by this one. I voluntarily received an ARC of this book.
Why I love Aria Ford's amazing stories I am giving this one only 4 stars due a little issue. The issue is the fact that both had self loathing attitudes. In a way it drove me crazy because it was constantly back and forth. Otherwise, it was an amazing story. It was very well written as always, the characters development was fantastic, except the one part, the story was beautifully written. All of this leads to one fantastic story between Margo and Jay. They have superb chemistry that just draws you in and doesn’t let up until you reach the end. It is definitely worth reading. I voluntarily review an advanced reader copy of this book.
This book will touch your heart and soul. Aria Ford goes deep with this one and I vould not out it down. Tragedy comes in many gorms and how we face can define us and our futures. This book highlights that. With soul crushing despair and lights of happiness, this story was so emotional it just touched me. I absolutely loved it amd it is a must read! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced cipy of this book. Hero, Jay = 5/5 Heroine, Margo = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 5/5 Plot = 5/5 Mystery = e/5 Action = 1/5 Darkness = 4/5 Humor = 2/5 POV = dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
Margo and Jay will grab your heart and take you on an emotional roller coaster. A second chance romance that has lots of twists and emotions. He was a star college quarterback who suffered a career ending injury that caused him to just drop out of sight. He ran away from everyone and everything, even Margo. A chance meeting at the airport proves that the chemistry is still there ?. Do they get their second chance and can she help heal him emotionally? A good story will complex characters and an entertaining story. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
The drama! The angst! Be still my reality-TV-loving heart. This pair of lost souls get a wonderful second chance. Without realizing it, both Margo and Jay manage to trigger each other’s darkest vulnerabilities making for a raw, emotional read. When everything’s going well for them, this pair is sweet and hot together. But when the situation takes a turn for the worse, it’s painful to watch them struggle to find their way. I loved reading about Jay and Margo, and there’s several of their friends and coworkers I’d love to know more about, too. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
Sweet story. These two have such a heartbreaking story. His injury leaves him depressed and he doesn’t want to drag her down, nor is he sure that she actually cares for him as a person. He’s afraid she won’t love him with a busted leg. She’s been missing him since he disappeared and is hurt when he basically ignores her, the bolts after their night together. Thinking she’s not good enough for him. They both have self esteem issues and it makes it harder for them to see the truth. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Margo and Jay were a happy couple...until the accident that ended his football career. After being MIA for four years, Jay is back. Will these two find a way to mend their problems? Will Jay learn to let Margo help him when needed? I liked this story. Margo and Jay both had "self doubt" issues that they had to overcome.
*I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
Margo and Jay were in love the star football playing and model but when Jay has a career ending injury, he disappears. Now it is four years later and he is going home where he sees Margo again. The sparks are still their but can he get past the thoughts that he is no good for her as he is now? This is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama and lots of emotion. The characters as well as the story really drew me in. A good read.
This is a wonderfully written second chance romance by Aria Ford. Jay was the best quarterback Wisconsin ever had until an injury left him unable to play. Margo was a cosmetics model. They dated until Jay’s injury when he disappeared for four years. They met again when Jay returned home for his father’s birthday. This is one book every romance fan should read. I reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Jay, a former football star had been in love with Margo, a beautiful model when he had a football injury that left his leg useless. He left her with no explanation. When they see each other years later, the two realize that old wounds have never healed and they are still in love with each other. The story is sweet, but at times it moves so slowly with redundancy.
I was provided an ARC of this book and this is my honest review..... This was a fast second chance read... it wasn’t my favorite, but not bad. Jay struck me as too self absorbed and way to immature in his behavior. Margo is compassionate, insightful, but a times too much so. She borders on doormat territory. Overall, an OK read.
This was a good story. I thought Margo and Jay were perfect for each other and liked them individually as well. Their journey was an emotional second chance romance and I enjoyed it. I thought the story was well written. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
I wanted to like this book more than I did. The premise was so different and interesting but I didn't connect with the main characters and I didn't really believe in them as a pair. So final results the books gets 3 stars for for execution and 4 stars for having such an interesting idea.
A second chance romance that has great characters. Jay was the star quarterback but suffered a career ending injury. Margo was a model and was happy with Jay left. A great storyline that you can't help wanting to find out if things will work for Jay and Margo. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I received this book as an ARC and I loved this book that I'm leaving a review voluntarily. The love story of Jay and Margo is really heart wrenching and emotional. Jay struggles with his baggage and Margo never wants to leave him. But the love and desire between them overpower Jay's insecurity and Margo is happy to give him a second chance.
A beautiful second chance love story that proves to us that when two people are destined to be together no matter what happens in their life fate brings them back together. Even though Jay and Margo had their own stuff they were each dealing with, their love for each other is what gives them an HEA. Great storyline and a great HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This was a sweet romantic book. It was sad at times due to the tragic accident. Men always pull back when they think they hurt themselves and don't think they were broken and unlovable. Woman is strong enough to wait out their man to prove their love is strong enough to make it work. I voluntarily review this advanced readers copy of this book.
A beautiful second chance love story! Jay and Margo were made for each other but an accident in Jay's life got in the way. This was an entertaining story from start to finish and I loved it. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
