"Ups & Downs" is the humorous true story of Don Fried and his son David, two totally unqualified American backpackers, as they hike through Switzerland, Italy and France. Longtime European residents, they have perceptive (but frequently grumpy) observations about the local people and cultures. Along the way, father and son gain more and more insights about life, themselves, and each other. "Ups & Downs" features two unique voices, as Don and David take turns presenting their accounts, interrupting each other with increasingly fractious comments as the trek progresses.
