Everything you need to know about migraines from differentiating them from normal headaches to what questions the doctor would ask you when writing a prescription for the respective medication; exercises and eating habits. An example given of the triple program in one medication is Migraleve containing codeine and I would pay special attention in here as I wouldn’t recommend codeine uptake for anything.

I don't know quite how to rate a book like this. By design, it's not really literature, as such; more like an extended magazine article. But it's loaded with incredibly useful information, some of which I've used with great success. The bit of advice involving feverfew, magnesium and vitamin B2 is, by itself, worth the price of admission. I had been using feverfew before reading this book, and added the other two elements as a result. It certainly worked for me.

Very interesting book with lots of science behind magnesium to treat migraines and a few other natural treatments. But written by a neurologist and with the science of conventional science. Also very informative about migraines in general and a little bit about more conventional medicines but not very in depth about them.

I'm 61yrs old and have had migraines since I was a child, there really wasn't and "breakthrough" info for me in the book. The book was written in 2001 so it is already a little old for the subject matter.

It was the book that made me realize there was so much more that my Neurologist and I could be talking about.

It's been a few years since I read this, but it was a good, basic read on migraines.
