Sent to watch an enemy of the Adair Empire, Luther Sutton is stunned to find a redheaded beauty trapped in a hell much worse than anything he could have imagined and seeking her own destruction. Despite her beauty, he needs information only she can give. Ruthless, deadly and smart, he makes an offer: Help him and he’ll give her what she wants.
Ariel McCray has a death wish, one she tries–and fails–to execute. But the man who stops her from plunging to her death makes her a deal. A deal that after some debate, she realizes she cannot refuse.
But what happens when they both begin to feel? What happens when Luther refuses to give Ariel the solace she seeks?
Ariel’s betrayal to her family sets off a course of actions no one is prepared for. She will die to protect the man she’s come to love, the man she now wants to live for.
Can Luther destroy her demons before she can sacrifice herself? Or will their once simple transaction be finalized with her death?

Fun facts about KL: Perpetual romantic. Coffee addict. Sarcasm lover. Give her an action flick over a romance. But a romance book over action. She’s weird like that. Did she mention coffee addict? Closet shopaholic. Beach lover. Coffee addict, it bears repeating. Again. Husband obsessed. Hers that is, you can keep yours. Mom of 6, well 7 if you count the husband. Oh and 2 of those are a cat & dog, that are confused about their species.

This is the second book of the series, "Adair Empire", by K.L. Donn and in my opinion, it was good and it seems that as the series progresses, each book deals with more dark issues, so readers who have issues with dark reads, be warned because this has triggers... but even as a dark read, for me, it was a good story with a strong yet vulnerable heroine who's been through the ringer... read this when it's live to find out her life story).
K.L. Donn is one of those authors who knows how to write a good dark story and never fails to make us, the readers, feel while reading this, like you're part of the story, experiencing every emotion, good and bad, alongside our hero & heroine and even the side characters. This is what makes her, in my opinion and I bet other readers would agree, a great author and I can't wait to read more stories from her, including the next book in this series :)
We also get to see again our King and his Queen, Lilith <3 and let's just say that they approve of our heroine (by the way, I love our heroine's name :), so don't forget to read this story when it comes out live to find out what her name is).
I can't wait for the next book and keep seeing our already formed couples unite forces with the next alpha that finds his woman :)
In the last scene, we were also left with a very small glimpse of possibly a hint of who's story's next...
So now I'm anxious to read the next book because of that little tease I read at the ending scene... go read this when it's live to find out what I'm talking about, you won't regret reading this :)
I'm still anxiously waiting to read Carter's story because geez, even though he's super dark, he's also smoking hot ;)
You know when you are excited for an author to release a book because the last one left you in such a book hangover you couldn't get over? Well this was it! I loved reading Luther and would highly recommend it to everyone! This series is a MUST READ by KL!
This series is so good! Dark and has triggers, but I love it and the men when they claim their women will do everything for them. Can’t wait for the next.
This is the second book in the Adair Empire series by K.L. Donn. I loved King and was so anxious for this book to be released plus I needed a book that wasn't soft and fluffy. Luther Sutton met King Adair when they were kids living on the streets. They became friends and watched and waited for their chance to rise above everyone else. Along the way they picked up Castiel, Atticus, and Carver, while Carver liked to slice and watch his victims bleed, Luther preferred to hear the crunch of their bones. He's not too happy when King asks him to go to Georgia and find out about Thomas McCray's twin brother, Timothy. While he's watching the house he sees someone with beautiful red hair sneak outside so he follows her. Ariel McCray had just turned 18 years old and she's had a horrible life so far and she's ready for it to end. While most little girls were playing soccer and having sleepovers she was forced to keep track of how many little girls an Arabian Prince wanted to buy, or what type of boys a Chinese CEO wanted delivered. She minded the books, took payments, and organized deliveries. She believed she was every bit as culpable as them and her monster father were. Her only way out is death and that's why she's sitting on a cliff above a rocky shore, drinking and waiting to jump. When Luther sees the girl stand up at the edge of the cliff he knows exactly what she's planning to do so he runs over and stops her. He figures she could be of use to King and gaining info on McCray so he puts her in his trunk and heads back home. When he stops to check on her he can see that she's absolutely terrified and he takes her outta the trunk and lets her sit inside the car. He's shocked when she says she's Timothy's daughter because King's computer expert never uncovered that. He is drawn to her and he doesn't understand why but he knows he can't let anything happen to her. Ariel has endured horrors as a child that most adults would've died from if they were in her position. King is surprised when Luther comes home with Ariel and not everyone is happy to see a McCray in the house. Ariel volunteers to go back home and to download all the info about Timothy's organization onto a flash drive for King. Luther knows this will end in certain death for her and he's not too happy but he knows he can't stop her. Ariel is prepared to die, she tells King where she'll hide the flash drive, and tells him the signal she'll give when it's hidden and also how to sneak into her house and up to her bedroom. Will Ariel make it out alive or will she die in her father's torture chamber ? Will Luther be able to forgive King if Ariel dies ? I really like this series but this part really pissed me off, Luther and King have known each other since they were kids, they've been through all kinds of shit together yet Luther was gonna end their friendship over some piece of ass he's known less than 24 hours ? Which is total bullshit because King asked him before she volunteered if she meant something to him and Luther said "NO". Also it seems very far-fetched that Luther single-handedly wiped out a whole organization in one night. Or that one shipping container filled with women was worth enough money that it would make McCray more powerful than any other organization.
I couldn't keep still, when I got this baby, I was so excited to start it. And while Luther was good, he has nothing on King. My man can't be thrown of his throne. But Luther did captured my attention. I loved his possessive side. I loved his dark side. Luther was a monster, but he still was able to preserve his soul. And now, at the end of the story, once again I'm left on my toes. I hate love, this endings. I so looking forward to see what's next.
I fell for each of these guys hard. Luther being my favourite though. He is powerful and Strong and silent. Ariel is so strong willed even after all that's been done to her. She couldn't have found a better partner to love and protect her. She gained a powerful family. These books are hot as hell😍😍😍
That's what you'll get. Ariel's life is hell and Luther is determined to rescue her. This is a dark romance that will have you begging for the pain. Can't wait for the next one.
I need to get something off my chest. I have a feeling some of you are not going to agree with me, and I’m sorry. But it needs to be said. I love Luther more than King. I didn’t think it would be possible since King is so darkly amazing, but it is. KL Donn has topped the first book in the Adair Empire series. And I really didn’t think that would be possible. Just saying. Story Line: Ariel is just 18 years old and has gone through so much pain and heartache that it’s amazing she has made it as long as she has. Disclaimer: please remember this series is dark. Like twist your stomach AND heart dark. I won’t give away too much, but the opening chapter is incredibly difficult to read but is absolutely worth it. So, if you pick up this book and are not mentally prepared to read about some seriously messed up events, this may come as a slap in the face to you. These men in the Adair Empire series are like twisted Robin Hood characters. They kill the bad guys. But they don’t just kill them, they torture in truly malicious ways. This story isn’t just about getting the bad guys. It’s about Luther and Ariel finding each other when neither was looking for love. It’s about their journey to forever and learning that life is better with each other in it. Interaction: Luther and Ariel have crazy good chemistry. And what I loved the most was that even though Luther is a sexy as sin alpha male, he’s also sweet and understanding when it comes to Ariel. With King, he was pretty much balls to the wall “you’re mine” with Lilith. But with these two, there’s a little more patience – which given the “job” Ariel is coming from, is definitely appreciated by this reader. It made the characters very believable even if I pray the circumstances are never, ever true. (This will all make sense once you read the book, I promise) Laundry: So, in King, the laundry happened pretty quick. I had the same expectation going into Luther. Wrong. KL Donn eases our two love birds into the good stuff and it was amazing. The build up was incredible and perfectly paced. But once these two started, let’s just say they had quite a few sheets to take to the laundry mat. That was super cheesy, but you get where I’m going with this. 🙂 Depth: KL Donn has never disappointed me with the depth of her books. There is always so much more to her novels than just amazing laundry. Each character is shaped into people who seem so incredibly real that at times I have to remind myself that this is fiction. These are not real people and I cannot help them through their time of need. I think that’s one of the best qualities of this book in particular. There were numerous times that my heart would race, or my leg would bounce uncontrollably, and I would have to stop reading for a moment to get a hold of myself. That’s a definitely tell tale sign that you’re reading an excellent book. Seriously y’all. Go pick up this book right now and dig in!
Five vicious stars! Luther is dangerously addictive!
For darkness sake! Luther: 2 Truths and a Lie is such a powerful, twisted, raw book that teased me like no other book has done it before. I spent the most pleasant time while reading it. Kristen has done it again! I never thought she could write Dark Romance so smoothly as if she has done it during her writing life. She proved me wrong. She is brilliantly talented.
After reading King: 13 Little Lies I was left wanting more. The men in this series are something else. They are ruthless, dangerous, dark and possessive. Their good side is only opened to the women they claimed as theirs. This time K.L. Donn delivers an intense book with all the dark elements that make it unique and refreshing.
Each page took me to the edge of my sit and I was left breathless and wanting more. It was an addictive journey that I want to repeat many times. I felt trapped inside the story. I could taste the sorrow feelings around the heroine. I felt goosebumps because all atrocities she saw. It is clear that this book is not for sensible readers. So read it under your own responsibility.
Luther is destruction and death. He is a dangerous man. King's right hand. He is the man you should stay away. His sharp attitude is dark. You should not mess with him if you appreciate your life. He is a stone-cold killer. He doesn't do emotions and he does not save damsels in distress until Ariel.
Ariel has seen the worst of human cruelty. Her “father” is a real monster. She hates working for him. She wants to escape her fate and there is only one way: death. She is ready to embrace death with peace. Better to died forgiven than living with guilt eating her soul. There is nothing that makes her want to live. Meeting Luther will change that. He is the only one who makes her feel alive.
Luther is darkness and Ariel is light. Sin versus purity. They are perfect for each other. He is rough and she is soft. Between them is growing something that will consume their souls. They will burn and will reborn stronger.
I really love everything about this book. I really recommend this book for those who love dark romance as much as I do. The pace is fast. The plot is refreshing and well developed. The characters are complex. This book is addictive and tempting. It is a mind-blowing and all-consuming journey that you should not miss. Read it right now and become a member of the Adair Empire. I can't wait to read the following book in the series. How a ruthless and dark man could love deeply? Discover it by reading this book.
This is the 2nd book of the series , “Luther: 2 Truths and a Lie " (Adair Empire) by K.L. Donn. In my opinion, it keeps getting hotter and more intense, just the way I like my romance reads—which is intense, rich, dark, passionate and full of drama. This read is so raw, so full of grit and way angsty. From the first page you can feel a palpable tension, the kind that kind lead to BOOM. The interaction between the main characters Luther and Ariel in the beginning is heartbreaking and yet intriguing. Luther and Ariel feel the connection, the chemistry yet know there can be nothing between them. But what makes this such an enjoyable read is the fact neither are going to follow any rules regarding their being together. I don’t want to give any spoilers away so I will say that Luther, gruff and dominant man that he is, already feels this connection. Be ready for the fireworks that are bound to explode in this story. As for Ariel, I felt so bad for her. Her young life has been marred by tragedy, pain, heartbreak, despair yet for the first time she feels hope spiral inside of her when she meets Luther’s eyes. Get ready for this epic love story. There is danger, suspense and heartbreaking scenes but there is also hope, love, passion and beauty that had me rocking on the edge of my seat and reading as fast as I can to find out what all goes down. There is some beautiful scenes between Ariel and Lily-I teared up a bit when those scenes happen so you may want some tissues handy. It was great catching up with past characters from book 1 and the way this book ended on a cliffhanger..O-M-G I can’t wait to find out what happens in book 3. KL Donn has done a phenomenal job with writing characters that I felt an immediate connection with, for writing heartbreaking scenes yet still keeping me connected with all that is going on because of the characters and the plotline going on. This is one series that I am hooked on and eagerly waiting for book 3.
My Rating: 4.8 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
Ariel McCray is ready to end her young life at eighteen. Forced her entire life to do the unthinkable, she knows she can’t face the future her father has planned for her. Just as she is ready to let it all go, she’s saved by the unlikeliest of heroes.
Luther Sutton is the right hand man to King Adair. While on a surveillance mission gathering information on the McCrays, Luther is drawn to a gorgeous redhead at standing atop a cliff. When he stops her from jumping, he’s shocked to learn she’s the daughter of their enemy. While he knows he should have just let her jump, he couldn’t do it and now takes her back to King to see if she can be used as a paw to get the information they need. There’s one major problem, however, she’s his and he’s not willing to let Ariel sacrifice herself for anyone, including herself.
Luther is the second book in KL Donn’s Adair series and should not be read as a standalone. This book is incredibly dark with brutal scenes of torture and a dark storyline that features child trafficking. If you enjoy a dark read, however, Luther is perfect! KL Donn has beautifully captured Luther’s savagery and hardness. As a reader, it’s easy to see why he is drawn to Ariel’s innocence and desperation . . . and she is innocent regardless of the role she’s been forced to play by her father.
Ariel is such a lost soul, yet possess a core of absolute steel to face the things that she does in this book and to come out standing on the other side. She’s a phenomenal match for Luther and I’m truly enjoying watching the men of the Adair Empire fall for the women truly made to be the other half of their souls.
KL Donn has also done a great job of teasing us with more looks at the other Adair characters who will have books in the series to truly capture the reader’s attention and cause extreme anticipation for the next release! 5 stars
Where to start with Luther, If you have followed my reviews before, you know i despise spoilers, so i wont be giving much away about this book. First let me say, this book is part of a series, it is not, in any way a standalone.. You need to read King first. If you have read King, you are in a good position to know what you think is going to happen in this book. Let me be the first to tell you, You are WRONG. Oh so wrong. there is no way to possibly describe the incredibleness that is this book. It is dark, dangerous, sexy and oh so much more than that. This book is everything you could ever want in a dark romance. Sexy times that are off the chart, A Hero is who dark, all kinds of Alpha and possesive and from the first glimpse makes your panties soaked. Not wet ladies, soaked! From a damn look. KL is a master of her craft, this much is clear from all of her books. She takes storytelling to a whole new level. Her books are always incredible, give you the feels, make you love someone you think you are going to hate and leave you breathless to see what she is going to do next. But my friends, Dark is where she excels at. This right here, cant be faked. Her heart lies wth Dark romances, and it is clear from the storyline, the intricate details and twists and turns that this is her heart and soul. Take a chance on this journey, even if you are not a particularly Dark romance lover. Take a chance on this book. Trust me, you will learn quickly why she is a master of the words. She is an incredible storyteller and i loved every single moment of this ride. I cant wait for the next book in this series. Hands down, this is my favorite all-time series, and ladies and gentlemen, we are only on book 2. I cant wait to see what the next book has in store for us.
I love Luther!! I loved him in king and I love his story! Why can't we leave 1/2 star reviews? I only say half as I would love to give 4 & 1/2 star for this novella- my reason is because I want more!!! I wish this was longer! That said I feel K.L has done an amazing job with this story!
The Adair empire series starts with King so if you haven't read that I advise jumping into that first so you can follow the story along.
Ariel, trapped into a life she never got the chance to choose, she's had to do and see things no one ever should. On her 18th birthday she decides to end it all but what she doesn't expect is to be saved by a man she has only ever heard of, a man who just by name instills fear in people. She also doesn't expect her ending to come the way it may.
Luther, a man many are afraid of, not many can live to say they've met the man. While on a job he encounters a woman who changes everything for him in a way no one not even himself saw coming. Unfortunately he has to send her back into the lions den to face a fate worse than the death she imagined.
He doesn't want her to go but Ariel figures in order to save more people and hopefully die for a good cause this is worth the sacrifice.
Does Luther reach her in time? Can he give Ariel a reason to live when all she wishes is to die? This is a story you don't want to miss, it contains violence and love and that all primal "me man, you my woman" alpha male we all love to read. Luther isn't all ruthless and cold hearted, he's sweet and kind and gentle. Ariel is tested and to see her stand so strong next to Luther and not cower in fear is something I loved reading!
I cannot wait for the next instalment of the Adair empire!
Adair Empire Book 2 Luther : 2 Truths & A Lie - KL Donn
This is the second book in the Adair Empire and I suggest that you read these books in order as they do follow on from one another with the main storyline and each end on a cliffhanger that leaves you teased beyond belief and desperate for the next installment of this amazing series. Luther Sutton is on the trail of the enemy, the one that tried to destroy Lilith and tear apart his family of choice not blood but King, Cassius, Atticus and Carver are his brothers there is no other word to describe them, they are the only people he cares for them and now Lilith. Until his attention is captured by a haunted beauty with fiery red hair who seems so lost for someone so young. Ariel McCray has literally just turned 18 and is trying to escape her horrific life that she has been forced into. It was wonderful to watch her blossom and find her strength. She is getting stronger every day and with the help of Luther, Lilith and the guys she will become unstoppable. The chemistry between Ariel and Luther is instant and so hot ! That is what I love about these guys they are obsessed with their woman and so passionate and protective that no one else matters, it's delicious. I am so excited to see what Cassius has in store for us. Happy Reading!
5 out of 5 stars.
Please note that I was given an arc of this book for my honest review which is exactly what I have given.
Book number two in the Adair empire This book is dark but a insta love story as well. Alpha oobsessed with a women the moment he sees her. Trigers might be some for a reader in this book. Tho I enjoyed reading it from page one. It touches some hard subjects. But it is a dark "mafia" empire books so one would think that is would be some trigers. Tho the Adaor empier is clean in some things and against it. 5 stars.
This books of the Adair is about Luther and Ariel. Luther is a slight lose canon on most thing it seems and enjoys the work he does for the empire. He is a alpha through and through. Strong and steady tho he falters a little in the book at one time but only take him a short while to figure it out.
We get to see all the players from the first books :)
Ariel is what I would call a lost soul. Given up. She was handed more then a bad hand in life. Her path in it might get some people to like her much as a person thinking she had a way out but in truth she was stuck. She had found her way out but Luther "saved" her from that way. She was ready to give everything to help them right what had been done. Can not realy say anything else with out givin to much. Just recomend reading this and the first book. I am not a huge dark romance reader but loved this book and will be reading it again.
This book OMFG..I LOVED and ADORED King but Luther? It Wrecked me ... i cried for half the book why? ARIEL... Ariel is a Broken , Broken Girl... who's soul is just about shattered in the life she is forced to endure and at her lowest and darkest she gets hit with a dark and scary Luther Sutton but for all his darkness and monstrous reputation Luther is Ariels Light. He is the one thing that pulls her to the sun and gives her happiness she didnt know she could feel. Luther is bent on Revenge after the events of King when he spots red hair that makes him feel emotion he does not want but coming face to face with a broken Ariel its exactly what he feels. Claiming his Princess for himself he shows that their world maybe full of monsters and darkness but thier love if filled with light.
Now ive said it once and i will say it again this book wreaked me.. it was soo good and i cried many tears but i loved it so... and the ending! I do recommend that you read King first. I can NOT wait for the next one in this sweetly dark series that just keeps getting better and better! Yet another HIT by KL Donn... KEEP EM' COMING
We get to see Luther in the previous book King and woah baby! I was chomping at the bit for Luther. King set the standard for the violence and all consuming storylines and Luther upped the ante.
I was enthralled from the beginning and apparently am very blood thirsty because I couldn’t get enough. But, that is also KL Donn’s writing for you too. She reels you in and shows you that a walk on the dark side is better than you ever thought possible.
Luther’s story was awesome and I wanted more of him and Ariel! She blew me away with her strength and willingness to do whatever she has to. She isn’t a timid little mouse! For the first time I honestly am crushing on the girls in this series more than the men! These girls are strong yet soft and definitely perfect fits for their men.
There is so much I want to gush about but I don’t wanna give anything way. Just know you won’t be disappointed and that It only gets more ruthless and more twists as the series continues!
OMG, only one word: Epic!! I absolutely adored this book, I loved both of the main characters and it was good to see how Lilith was thriving with King. Luther is dark, sexy, dangerous, and just an all around badass. I loved watching him interact with Ariel once he decided she would be his. As for his killer side, he was just as deadly as I imagined he would be from the first book. As for Ariel, she made me want to cry, her life was so heartbreaking, but she was also a very strong character and was the perfect woman for Luther. What she did in the Dungeon, they deserved it. She was smart, brave, kind, and a sort of avenging angel in my opinion and I was rooting for her from almost the beginning. So much more happens in this book with the McCrays than in the first, and it is definitely more graphic (Judas Cradle made me cringe a bit but I felt no sympathy for the dude-you have to read to find out what I mean 😏), but the ending made me gasp and left me eagerly awaiting the next book. Amazing job again KL Donn 💖❤💙😁
What a fantastic second addition to the Adair Empire series! This story is so gripping right from the start. The novel is quite dark, angsty and gritty, and is a really enjoyable read. I can’t wait for the next instalment of this series.
Luther is so dark and calculating, and yet he had a sweetness about him that drew me in and made me love him. Ariel is a sweet, young, broken girl, yet also quite strong. I really felt for her character. So much heartache. Luther and Ariel’s connection is quite hot, very steamy and a whole lot sexy. Again, like in the first book, the secondary characters are great and I really can’t wait until their stories unfold.
This novel shows us that even amongst the darkness we can find the light. Something we can hold onto when things get really crazy. Something to live for. I seriously loved this story and everything about it, from the way it is written to the way the story made me feel. Bring on book 3!
Next book in the amazing Adair Empire is Luther, the right hand man to King. The books in the Adair series are dark, they are gritty, they are pain filled. The bad guys always get what is coming to them and sometimes as a reader I wanted it to be as painful as possible, sounds bad right, but truly deserving. This book makes you cry, you cry along with the heroine for her lost childhood. Ariel, what she goes through in her young life will break your heart, it's broke hers. She is ready to be done, but she is being watched and he feels something he can't explain when he sees her. Luther, he doesn't want to feel, falling for someone was not in his plans. He fights it, but sometimes you cant fight what is right. Be prepared, this book may have triggers, but its a quick read and you need to read it to get to best parts. The parts where you know they will survive what has happened and come out in the end together. Can't wait till the next book in the series.
Well my mind is in bliss, my soul is dark and this book is pure dark bloody passion. Krystal you said we asked more dark, I think you can give us even more, the way you make these violent men show their sweet soul when it comes for Ariel and Lily is what makes this stories so beautiful that words difficulty can give them justice. The edge of violence and love the need of giving pain and the way these strong warriors shift for love to a different shade of dark maintaining that violence powerful and animalistic is pure talent. You can taste the sweet and sour smell of the pain flowing through the derailment of Ariel and the limbo her soul is experiencing crushing on the wall of darkness that Luther is, this impact shakes you deep and asks for revenge...
The sweet and sour smell of pain flowing through the derailment of Ariel crushing on the wall of darkness that Luther is....
Where to start!! Oh my gosh! This author would be in my top 5, I usually don't even need to read a blurb, if it's got her name on it, I'm buying it, simple! I have been eagerly waiting to read this book since it was announced by the author. It's definitely a darker read than I'm used to but it definitely did not disappoint. The book was filled with emotion and sexy times! Parts of it are heart-racing and there are panty melting parts. I think my favourite thing about this author is how she is able to write a great strong alpha. (dark or otherwise) To say i absolutely loved it would be an understatement. It was well written, well thought out and excellently executed like all their other books. If you pick it up you won't be able to put it down. I will definitely be recommending to everyone and re-reading it again myself.
Let me start by saying, for the most part, dark books are not a genre I enjoy.
I FREAKING LOVE THIS SERIES....Luther is an anti-hero, but OMG I love him....he is DARK, he is DANGEROUS, he is VIOLENT, he is FREAKING AWESOME!!!
KL created this Adair Empire that started with King....she then moved on to Luther - holy cow is he amazing.
Ariel is what I call a pawn...she can be used to achieve a goal set by King Adair...After saving her life, Luther does not want to do this an ultimately walks away because he does not love her, but knows she could be important to him.
Ariel feels guilt and wants to be used as a pawn (can't provide more, no spoilers)
Well, crap hits the fan, and Luther saves her BARELY......(feel the suspense?)
Anyway, this is dark, violent, and sexy, and a wonderful story line!

KL Donn has once again blown me away with book 2 in the Adair Empire and its the story I couldn't wait to have been told. This dark and deliciously sexy book is so much more than I would have thought possible. This story was so unique and dangerous that once you start reading it you won't stop, it gave me all the feels which is what you need when it comes to a dark read such as this. The heroine Ariel is the perfect counterbalance to the hero Luther who is so ALPHA it should be illegal. The things that Ariel suffered only made her a stronger person to me plus, she was willing to give her all for the greater good. This series is shaping up to be one of best dark reads of the year for me and that ending was perfect color me intrigued because I'm dying for more.
Ariel is so selfless and a strong woman!!! Luther is one hot mother shut yo mouth man😉😉
This book was so darn good if I'm being completely honest I started it yesterday and just finished it about an hour or ago. It was that good. Ariel man I want to be her friend so bad she's been through so much but still wanted to protect others she didn't even know and on top of that this chemistry between her and Luther, yes that was hot and the freaking sex/love scenes child I needed a cold shower after those. These 2 are so good for each other. I'm so happy that their together. And the scenes with the torture wow it felt so realistic. I felt like I was there seeing and feeling what the bad guys had to go through and even what Ariel had to go through😢😢 I can't to read Castiel and Talia 's story
WOW just AMAZING!! I loved this book from beginning to end I could not put it down. I loved Luther and Ariel together, he was perfect for her. I felt for Ariel and everything she went through and Luther stepped in just at the right time too. KL Donn did a great job explaining what Ariel experienced and why she was so numb to everything until Luther got a hold of her. I liked how Lilith helped Ariel out, one quote from Lilith I loved was when she told Ariel, "It's okay to live, Ariel. You deserve happiness. The sun and stars could be yours if only you reach for it, fight for it. Her words calm something inside of me. and all the pain I've been holding onto breaks free, leaving me a shell in her arms. I'm finally free." I cant wait for Castiel story that ending!!!
Oh my this series is getting better and better. This is a much darker book than she usually writes but it’s sooo good. I cheered on the dark aspects and was very happy with what happens in the basement. Luther and Ariel are perfect for each other. They both balance out the dark and light of their personalities. Ariel is badly damaged by her life experiences and has given up on life but Luther comes along and changes her fate. Luther never thought he’d have what King has until he saves Ariel. This book will have you experiencing many different thoughts from sadness, to fear, to passion, to revenge and satisfaction. I’m so excited after reading each book in this series because it gets better and better. I can’t wait to see what’s next for the Adair Empire.
