Ciscoe Morris answers 400 the most interesting, oft-asked, most urgent, and puzzling gardening questions. Even if Ciscoe’s signature exclamation "Ooh-la-la!" (delivered with a thick Wisconsin accent) is completely disarming, do not underestimate his gardening chops: Master Gardener, certified arborist, teacher at the University of Washington’s Center for Urban Horticulture. In his first book, he addresses the full range of issues from ornamental gardening and trees to vegetables, fruit trees, shrubs, lawns, containers, weeds, and more.
Oh, La, La, I love you Ciscoe! You make even weeding fun!!! You bring joy to my 87 year old Wisconsin -born mother, you held my dog, and you got me loving Brussels Sprouts! What more can I say? Keep writing!
i have never before read a book that i put down in the middle to immediately run out and try one of its suggestions (well, the karma sutra maybe...). but after learning i could get my lobelias and other annuals to rebloom by giving them a severe haircut immediately, i threw the book to the ground and ran out to do it.
Ciscoe Morris has a lot of great experience gardening in the Pacific Northwest, and he answers a lot of questions I'd been asking! I like his quirky sense of humor, too.
Sense of humor and obviously knows a lot about gardening, but most of the questions didn't really pertain to my gardening level and interests at this time
