I wake up naked in bed with my best friend’s little sister and I have no recollection of what happened. After we go our separate ways, she soon ends up on my doorstep with nowhere to go in the middle of the night and I let her stay with me until she gets her own place. I tell myself that nothing can happen by burying myself in work and that I fight to ignore the desire burning through my veins of her presence, but I’m only human.

The Night Manager is a great entertaining story with great characters! Jacks and Cam are so cute, you can’t help but fall in love with them. I love Tarrah Anders writing and can’t wait to read what’s next!
After reading Stripped I was not only hooked on these characters but on this author. The Night Manager not only gives us Jacks' story but it gives us more on Mal and Beck. This is a best friend's sister romance and one that is a little different. Jacks and Cam's story is one about loyalty to not only each other but the family unit. As these two characters navigate their way through starting a relationship they come across a few hurdles with truths needing to be revealed, the hours that Jacks works and an unexpected crisis that they will all need to face. I found this story to be so emotional with some very life changing events that happen to not only Jacks and Cam but to Mal and Becks. Their story made me laugh, cry and all that stuff in between. You will not go wrong with reading this book because it gives you a little bit of everything that you crave in a romance including a huge dose of spicy, juicy and steamy to top it off. It also doesn't hurt that both Jacks and Mal are both gorgeous Aussie guys because Down Under we breed our men to please.
The Night Manager by Tarrah Anders was sweet and enjoyable; I have been waiting for this book since I finished reading STRIPPED. Who doesn’t love a good wedding hook-up and best friend’s little sister romance? This book will have you laughing out loud and steam coming from your kindles.
Jacks and Cam are adorable together and I can’t get enough of them. Jacks is all alpha male behinds closed doors and sweet when he wants to be, plus he has the accent, SWOON! We got to see more of Mal and Becks and these two are always good for some comic relief.
Tarrah writing is always addicting and she loved her dirty talking alpha males! We need more books featuring “The Essentials” family. Highly recommend Tarrah’s book, you will not be disappointed.
I loved this book! It had everything I need in a romance. Forced proximity, older brother’s friend, one-night-stand-turned-something-more, lots of super hot sexy time and a few surprises thrown in for good measure! Ms. Anders has created a super fun world filled with Aussie strippers in Vegas and the girl squad who loves them. I loved the commitment to Aussie-isms too. This book was funny, sweet, sexy and well written! Bravo!
The Night Manager is the first book by Tarrah Anders and it's not going to be the last! It's a fun, sexy romp in Vegas for this former stripper now a club owner. Jacks owns a male/female revue club in Vegas with Mal. They are both former male strippers and Mal and his wife Beck are the only family and close friends that Jacks has in his life. He made what he feels is a huge mistake by having a drunken wedding hookup with Mal's little sister Cameron after Mal's wedding to Beck but now it's weeks later and he's been trying to avoid her. Not because he's not attracted to her but he's afraid to upset the dynamic of the family that he has created for himself. Cam has other ideas in mind and so the chase begins. Even though I haven't read Stripped yet(which I plan on reading next) the story completely stands on it's own. It's told in dual POV and the writing has a definite Australian undertone to it. I mean that in a good way because the characters are from Australia and I could just hear their accents in my head! So if you like a good sexy best friends little sister romance, I highly recommend The Night Manager. I received a review copy and this is my freely given, honest opinion.
The Night Manager By Tarrah Anders is such an awesome read. After attending his best friends and business partners wedding Jacks hooks up with his best friend’s little sister! Weeks pass, and Cameron ends up on Jack's doorstep needing a place to stay. Jacks attempts to keep things professional and platonic but finally they both succumb to passion and there is no more holding back between them due to the intense chemistry between them. Is this a “friends with benefits” type relationship or is this something more between them? Is it perhaps gone from a FWB to a “Real Thing” relationship? Jacks’ is amazing and he is such an alpha- while Cam is a sexy, sassy and sweet young lady ---this is a “forbidden” romance that is steamy , sweet and sizzling hot. The characters come across as relatable and believable. The only thing is the ending does feel a bit rushed, other than that, what a fantastic story.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
The Night Manager by Tarrah Anders is a romance novella. This story is about how a hook up with your best friend’s sister, at his wedding, turns into a hot, unexpected relationship. Jack is a co-owner and night time manger of the The Essentials club in Vegas, along with his best friend Malcolm and wife Beck. After Malcolm’s and Beck’s wedding, through a drunken haze, Jack wakes up to a beautiful blonde next to him, which happens to be Cameron, Malcom’s little sister. A million things go through his head thinking that his best friend were to kill if he were to find out he bedded his best friend’s sister. Cameron has the hots for Jack and so does he for her. Will they be able to keep their relationship a secret long enough before Malcolm finds out? This story sucked me in from the beginning until the end. Tarrah Anders wrote a seamless and flowing story that makes you forget that it is a short story. The chemistry between Cam and Jack is scorching and their scenes together are just as hot. This is my first read by Tarrah Anders and I look forward to reading more work written by her.
I have been patiently waiting for this book to be released. Jacks was first introduced in STRIPPED and I think it would helpful (yet not necessary) to read it first as it gives some important background information.
The author lists STRIPPED and THE NIGHT MANAGER as novellas, yet the way they are written truly feel like full bodied novels.
Jacks is best mates with Cameron's brother and we all know that "best mate's little sisters are off limits". Yup, we sure do know that ~wink~.
This is a story that is on the lower side of angst, has lots of *open door* sex and flows well from beginning to end. The characters are developed quickly and while there are a few hiccups, the relationship is fun to watch develop.
A great book to read in a rainy Sunday afternoon., quick read low on angst and high on romance.
I was given an advanced readers copy of this book and have decided to leave a voluntary review. Night Manager was one hot read. And God I love the erotic dancing. Jack's is amazing just like Malcolm. And I love Cam she's perfect and sweet with a, sexy edge to her. And oh how I love Jack's dominating personality and sexual style. And the fact that he's Aussie makes him even sexier. Tarrah home run with night manager definitely 5 stars loved it!!
This is a great story! I enjoyed so many things about it. The relationship between the two main characters. It’s complicated but yet there are many sweet moments. The book provided some laughter, snickering and one “I’m stunned” moment along with a few wet eyes. Let’s not forget about the sexy moments of dating a former “dancer”. Woo hoo! I enjoyed the things about the characters that showed they were from Australia! Plus I liked it wasn’t a random hookup at the wedding. Meaning these guys have background together. With Jacks, Malcolm and Rebeckah all in business together and Cameron being the little sister. It was perfect.
I loved seeing Malcolm and Rebeckah (from Stripped) again! I didn’t realize this is a companion book to theirs until I started reading it. I loved to see Malcolm giving advise to Jacks about relationships. It was also nice to see Rebeckah and Cam laughing and girl-bonding. Good stuff!
This is not my first Tarrah Anders book. I enjoy reading her stories. They are interesting and the writing engages me. The characters are like “real” people to me. I end up caring about them and their situations.
So I started this book off and knew right away I was missing something. Cameron and Jacks are already in bed together and they are already in the middle of something. I apparently needed to read the first book Stripped.
So anyway, I felt right away that I was missing something but I continued to read this book. But I was still not getting into this book. I couldn't connect with Cameron or Jacks as a couple. I only got about 25% into the book and had to stop.
I voluntarily tried to read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.
Fun quick angsty treat! Love the “best friend’s sister” trope! Jack and Malcolm are super close and consider each other family...then the drunken night happens & he finds little sister Cameron in his bed. Annnnnd go! Lol, hiding/avoiding both each other and their feelings. Oh the angst & anxiety of getting caught! Engaged throughout, kept me on the edge. Loved it!
What a fun, sexy, and relatable novella! In true Tarrah fashion this featured all the elements I’ve grown to love from her. The plot, characters, and realness were all on point! Bonus I was googling some fun Aussie lingo along the way. This story opens up after post wedding one night stand. We learn it’s Jacks, a former “dancer” and his best friends little sister Cameron. The two go their separate ways, but find themselves living with one another. A game called “avoid like the plague” begins and then the story really takes off. There is no shortage of fun sexy times ( hellllllo lap dance) and a real life plot to keep you turning the pages at breakneck speed! I can’t say how much I loved this noc a and it may be my favorite from Tarrah to date!
Best friends little sister ✔️ An Ex Male Dancer ✔️ One drunken wedding hookup ✔️ Off the charts chemistry that can’t be denied ✔️
All of the ingredients that are needed for a seriously hot and sweet “forbidden” romance to extremely successful! I loved watching Jacks struggle with his Bro Code and his desire to be with Cam while he tried to leave her alone in respect to her brother, which makes his inevitable lack of restraint even more fun! I fell for Jacks when I first met him in Stripped and he shone bright in his own stand alone just as I knew he would. Tarrah Anders brings the same quality and passion to The Night Manager as she always does leaving me a happy reader. This might be a short read, but I honestly think that The Night Manager is my favorite by this author, it was everything I expected and more! -Mackenzie
The Night Manager by Tarrah Anders is a novella written in dual POVs about a drunken one nights stand where feelings are broken open and there is no turning back. Following the story of Jack and Malcom, two ex-male strippers who now own a revue club in Vegas for both male and female dancers; everything is going great in their worlds until the night of Malcom’s wedding to Beck. Jack is basically family to Malcolm, Beck and Malcom’s little sister Cameron, until Jack wakes up with no memory of the night before and in bed, naked, with Cameron. Thinking the worst, that his best friend and business partner will kill him, he runs and attempts to avoid Cameron at all cost, until she shows up at his door with nowhere else to turn. Jack tries to stay away from Cam, burying himself in work but he is only human and that one night together only fanned the flames of his desire for her. Good thing Cam has a secret, she wasn’t against what happened that night and is more than happy to have it happen again….multiple times. She has had feelings for Jack for years and the night of her brother’s wedding was the perfect time to make her move. Will Jack get over his ideas of Malcolm killing him for sleeping with his sister or will his fear of losing his best friend overshadow his desire for the little sister? Anders is a favorite author of mine, and I have had the pleasure of reading several of her books since I found her. This has to be one of my favorite books to date of hers, and I haven’t even read the other books attached to this one. The characters in this book were so well written that I felt like I knew them personally, the storyline was well written and I couldn’t read fast enough to see how things turned out. If you are looking for a great author who will keep you hot under the collar and on the edge of your seat. You will not be disappointed at all!!
The Night Manager by Tarrah Anders is a romance story that will keep you reading until the end. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite of hers. Her writing style such as that she pulled me right into her story from the first word. She made me feel as if I was right there with her characters. Her characters are both connectable and lovable. They took me on an emotional roller coaster ride including compassion. This is a story about falling in love with your best friends sister. Jacks is a man who spends more time working then he spends at home. The morning after his best friend's wedding he wakes up laying next to his sister with no memory of what happened the night before. Then they go their separate ways until she shows up at his house needing a place to stay. The problem is, he is having a hard time keeping his hands to himself. He works more so that he is not at home when she is but will that stop their desire for each other? I enjoyed both of these characters. They are strong and both have a way of fighting how they really feel for each other. Their chemistry is awesome and I found myself hoping that they find their happily ever after. There is no doubt they are attracted to each other, it just that they don't want her brother mad so they fight their feelings for each other. The secondary characters in this book are just as lovable and supportive. They help keep the story flowing into what this story is, a fast paced, engaging story about two people. I highly recommend this book. Find out what happens when you fall in love with your best friend's little sister.
Well, I must start off by saying this is another fantastic 5 star read from Tarrah Anders. I truly enjoy the way she writes and am never disappointed that I have picked up one of her works. I love it! I have not read Stripped yet, which comes before this book actually does but it did not affect my understanding or enjoyment of this book. I will go back and read Stripped now because I loved this one so much, however.
In this book we learn all about Cameron and Jacks. Cameron is Jacks, best friends, little sister. See Jacks used to be a stripper in Vegas. Now he has opened a club with his best friend Malcom, and Malcom’s new bride, Rebeckah. Only problem is, it was at their wedding that Cameron and Jacks crossed the line. They end up having a drunken one night stand so to speak.
With Jacks having zero intentions of screwing up the relationships, and family, he has built, he refuses to be the guy who dates his best friend’s sister. This makes for an interesting cat and mouse game story. You will fall in love with the hot and steamy Alpha-Australian Jacks. I know I did. I loved his character, and I felt for his situations. You knew he wanted to do what was right, but he needed to get over the guilt he self-imposed. Will them, finally giving into their desires be the end of his ‘family’ as he knows it? Will they be able to overcome the major obstacles in the way and find the way to a happily ever after? Or is the damage already done?
“I tell myself that nothing can happen by burying myself in work and that I fight to ignore the desire burning through my veins of her presence, but I’m only human.” Just imagine that in a sexy Australian voice! What a hot book boyfriend! “It’s time to impress everyone with your dance moves. Sincerely… your sixth beer.” (Haven’t we all been here in one way or another?)
This book will take you on a roller coaster of emotions, and is one you will want to binge read in one night! One click all the available titles of the The Essentials Family! I know I will be!
The Night Manager By: Tarrah Anders 5 out of 5 stars
The story The Night Manager by Tarrah Anders is a wonderful romance book that I loved reading. It is a story about a couple who have an intense attraction to each other. Jacks wakes up one morning with a fuzzy memory and a beautiful woman in his bed. What he soon realizes is that she is the younger sister of his best friend. The attraction between these two is intense however Jacks doesn’t know how his best friend would react if he found out about the two of them. This worry leads to them both going separate ways. Is it fate when he later finds himself letting her stay at his home until she gets her own place? Will he now act on the intense attraction that he still feels for her? Read this book to see if this couple finds their HEA. This is a book about a couple that I could tell is right for each other. I loved reading how Jacks values his friendship with others and wants to show the one he is falling for just how much she means to him. There are plenty of steamy scenes in this story that will have you turning up the air conditioning and reaching for an ice cold glass of water. I also loved reading about the other characters in the story and how everyone interacts. I have read several books by the author and have always loved the stories that she writes. She creates characters that I grow to care about and want them to be happy. I can’t wait to read what she writes next.
The Night Manager By Tarrah Anders ☆☆☆☆☆ This book is a novella. Based on best friends and romances.
Cam just finished college and has moved from her hometown and now is staying with friends. But when she wears out her welcome. She must find a place to stay. She shows up at her brothers best friends place, as her brother has just gotten married, and she does not want to bother him. She has always had a crush on him, but must keep her distance.
Jacks wakes up one morning and finds his best friends sister in his bed. That breaks the friend code. What a way to lose a friend and family. Then she shows up at his apartment in the middle of the night with no place to go. His home is big enough with extra rooms. So he offers her a room. Now he must keep her at arm's length. But the heart wants what it wants.
Tarrah Anders romance story was such a well written story. Her characters are all close, but it breaks some man code to date ones sister. The story keeps moving through the pages and I could not put it down. All the feels are touched and then you throw in some hot dancers and there you have it. A Hot Romance Story. I look forward to reading more from this author. Not for those under 18 due to strong sexual content.
This was a quick fun read, and although this could be read as a standalone I would highly recommend you read Stripped before this book. You will get the background on how these characters and the secondary characters that play a big part in this book have gotten where they are. I love this author and I look forward to reading every one of her books, her stories are always easy, smooth flowing and make for some of the best reading.
If I had one complaint about this book it would be that it was too short lol I could have kept reading about all of these people for many more pages. They were awesome! This story revolves around Jacks and his best friends little sister Cam. I was hoping when I finished Stripped that Jacks would get his own story and here it is and I loved it.
It jumps right in with these two waking up together and Jacks having no memory of how this happened….Him and Cam’s brother have been best friends forever so he has known Cam for a very long time and has never even considered crossing that line...So how do these two move forward when what happened shouldn't have happened but they both kind of like that it did? How will her brother take it, are there feelings there? What happens when shes kicked out of her apartment and needs a place to stay?
The way this story was written, everything just made sense and happened smoothly, and when tragedy strikes and any thoughts of any future for these two are jeopardized I felt every emotion Cam felt and my heart just broke for the decisions she felt she needed to make.
It was awesome returning back to Mal and Becks and seeing how they were progressing in their relationship and seeing that it wasn't all just perfect and the storyline still included them.
The Night Manager by Tarrah Anders is a fantastic read. I was glued to it from start to finish. The main characters Jacks and Cam are so well written, it’s so easy to identify with them and fall in love with them. This is a story that breaks the bro code – don’t mess around with your best friend’s little sister. Jacks is a former ‘dancer’ who now owns a revue club with his best mate Mal. Jacks wakes up the morning after Mal’s wedding naked, in bed with Mal’s little sister Cameron. Weeks later Cam turns up at Jacks’ door looking for somewhere to stay. Cue a lot of angst as Jacks’ tries to keep their relationship platonic when the chemistry between him and Cam is off the charts smoking HOT. It’s fun watching the two of them fight to keep their hands of each other and not give in to the deep attraction that exists between them. Deep down you can’t help but want these two to have a happy ever after. My favourite scene is when Jacks gives Cameron a lap dance. Never though that a guy giving a lap dance to a woman could be so erotic. Having finished this book and looking for other books from this author I’ve discovered that Mal has his own book too. Must add that to my reading list.
Yet again Anders has surprised me with a book I didn't know I was going to love! The brother's best friend trope was one of my least favorite reads, until now! Night Manager is an amazingly hilarious story about a game of cat and mouse that ultimately the mouse is doing the chasing.
Jack and Cameron spend one night together, that Jack doesn't remember. The part amicably, but weeks later she shows up at his place begging for a place to stay. Not wanting to turn her away he lets her, just until she gets back on her feet. He throws himself into his work and tries desperate to avoid her like the plague. However one night their desire for each other catches up with him and there is no holding back. What starts out as and arrangement turns into something more, quickly.
Will there romance be something forbidden that looses its appeal quickly or will their chemistry turn into something amazing! You will just have to read to find out.
**** I received this ARC at no cost from the Author ****
The Night Manager A NOVELLA WRITTEN BY TARRAH ANDERS 4 Stars
“It's time to impress everyone with your dance moves. Sincerely... Your sixth beer.”
This novella packed a lot of subject matter into a short story. I’ll have to look into Tarrah’s other books and see if she has written more about these characters. I’d love to see where they go from here…
“You’re playing with fire.” “Burn me then.”
This was not the typical younger sister falling for the older brothers best friend type of story. I love the maturity in which the story was written. Several serious subjects were included. Not a lot of drama. Even though there are some very hot, steamy scenes there was a storyline as well...which I appreciate in a book.
“While I'm her first in so many ways, she's my absolute first in everything I didn't know I needed…”
This book is filled with humor, loyalty, friendship, love, emotional turmoil, struggles, loss and passion.
“I’m a temptation to him, but he doesn’t want me. Or he does want me, but he can’t have me.”
On the night of his best friend's wedding, Jacks hooks up with Malcolm's little sister, Cameron. Weeks pass, and Cameron ends up on Jack's doorstep needing a place to stay. At first, they do their best to keep things between them platonic, but, eventually, the chemistry between them erupts, and there is no turning back. Is is just a "friends with benefits" arrangement, or is what is happening between them the "real thing"?
What a good read! I fell in love with Jacks from the very beginning! In my opinion, he is every woman's dream! Strong alpha male? Check. A bit domineering between the sheets? Double check. A heart of gold? Triple check. Add in the fact that he was once an exotic male dancer, and, yes friends, you have the entire package! And Cameron? Well, she was just as sweet as she was sassy! I thought she and Jacks were perfect for another!
Hurry up,and one click this book ASAP. I promise you will be glad you did!
The Night Manager was an awesome book, it was a quick, light and fun read. Once I saw the blurb and the cover it drew me in and I wasn't disappointed, this was one book that I could not put down; It had me sucked in from page one.
The characters were perfect. The chemistry was definitely there for Jacks and Cam, they were just meant to be together. Jacks was just hot and dreamy and Cam was just too cute for her own good.
Jacks and Mal were previously strippers who now own a club, which keeps Jacks from having a “relationship”. But after waking up naked in bed with his best friend Mal’s, younger sister after her showing up at his front door needing somewhere to stay, his attention is on her. I loved that you could read both characters point of view too.
This is my first read by Tarrah Anders and will not be my last, I love her writing style. I can’t wait to read more by Tarrah.
I really do adore this authors writing! I have read a few books by her now and they never fail to entertain me and kept me hooked until the very end! The Night Manager was a really great story and I loved every minute of it! Jacks and Cam – oh if ever there was a sweeter couple than these two! I absolutely loved them! I loved them individually and so wanted them to be together. They chemistry between them was electric and so hot! I love forbidden romance it makes it all the hotter! Jacks was a great character, all alpha male but not too over the top! He was definitely one of my favourite characters this year! And Cam – feisty, sweet with a great sassy side! A brilliant female lead in this story! The Night Manager is a fun sexy read and I cannot recommend it highly enough! If you are fan of forbidden romance then this is the book for you!! As always I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!
The Night Manager by Tarrah Anders was a well written novella in my opinion and was a topic I enjoy reading.
Malcom and Jacks were best friends and strippers together years back. Now they co-own and exotic dance club together.
The night Malcom got married, Jacks ended up in bed with Mal’s younger sister Cameron. He didn’t know what to do or how it even happened. Then months later, she showed up on his doorstep needing a place to stay.
Jacks would do anything for his best friends little sister but, now he keeps having visions of them together and is trying his hardest to keep the distance. Cameron doesn’t make it very easy on him though. When they finally decide to become friends with benefits and Jacks finds out about Cam’s past relationships or lack of, he wants to do things right. Jacks tries to convince Cam that they need to tell her brother but she is totally against it.
What will happen when Cam’s big brother who is also Jacks friend walks in to find Cam cooking in the kitchen with nothing more then an apron on?
This novella kept me interested from start to finish.
The Night Manager by Tarrah Anders is a wonderful, sexy, sweet and fun- a light-hearted story that captivated me right from the beginning. This follows on from ‘Stripped’, and although this story is focused on different characters, we do get to catch up with Mal and Becks from book one, too. I really enjoy Ms. Ander’s writing, I have read a lot of her books now and she never disappoints. I loved Stripped, and this story is a worthy companion to that book. This is Jacks (Mal from Stripped best friend and business partner) and Cam’s (Mal’s younger sister) story, and we catch up with them the morning after their drunken hook-up at Mal and Becks’ wedding. Jacks memory of the night is rather hazy to say the least, and even though he is very interested in Cam, he doesn’t want to cause any problems with his best friend Mal and would rather pretend the night never happened. So, they all head home and Becks does a great job of avoiding Cam for a couple of weeks- until she turns up on his doorstep needing somewhere to stay as she has nowhere else to go. So, he ends up with a house guest and his world will never be the same? What happens you ask? You really should read all the details for yourself- because it has so much going for it….. its playful, funny, sexy, spicy, romantic, and quite emotional at times- and I was hook right from the get-go! Looking forward to more!
The Night Manager by Tarrah Anders is one fantastic novella! I am always a huge fan of Tarrah’s work as her stories always manage to pull me right in! This novella is sweet, sexy, funny, and full of love. I’m not always the biggest fan of novella’s as they can sometimes seem rushed but this one was the complete opposite, it was so detailed that it felt like a really well-rounded story, I found that it flowed really well from the beginning until the end with the perfect amount of backstory and character development. I love how in such a short amount of time I was able to really connect with these characters so much so that I read this novella in one sitting as I couldn’t seem to put it down. I would definitely recommend this romance novella and this author to anyone looking for their next romance read!
