This story was not what I was expecting at all, but definitely in a good way. I didn't like the main character in the beginning but her character develops and grows on you throughout the story. I loved how all the plot lines twist around each other before finally coming together and the ending was just perfect.

"That was the most frustrating thing about dead people. They held all the secrets."
6 degrees is a cracking thriller that shows the extent to how some peoples lives can become inextricably linked.
Bekki Pate doesn't pull any punches, and presents a group of characters with deep flaws and problems, showing how their lives intersect and impact on the others. This is also a very mature book, handling difficult issues and questioning the limits and morals of love, sex and professional responsibility.
There were some sections of the book that I felt would have benefited from a clearer timeline, it was sometimes difficult to seperate what was happening on what day, but ultimately that doesn't detract from the readers enjoyment of the story.
This is a thrilling, slightly disturbing and atmospheric book, and I cannot wait to read more from the author.
