Book Review for Spartacus and his glorious gladiators

Why I chose to read this book?

I chose to read this book because it looked really funny and the title page was very appealing. I also read the blurb and it caught my attention but the main reason I chose this book was because my older brother recommend this book to me and he reads quite funny books so I new it would be funny.

Why did I enjoy/not enjoy this book?

I enjoyed this book because it was really funny and got me in a good mood. When I was bored I read this and it made me laugh and I had quite a bit of fun by reading this book. I also enjoyed it because it was something different and something I wouldn't expect in a book.

A character i found interesting?

A character I found interesting was Spartacus because he was really funny in a way because he killed 6,00 saves because they said that they are Spartacus and tried to be him.

What I learnt from reading this?

I learnt that reading is actually pretty cool. I learnt that reading doesn't have to be boring if you chose a book you really like you can have so much fun reading it. I also learnt that reading isn't all about factual reports and biographies, you can get some really humorous books like the one I chose.
I really like reading books like this.

This book gives lots of detail on Spartacus' life and how he lives with the slaves and the Romans while living in the olden days. While this book gives a lot of detail about the facts it also adds a lot of humour in to this book. I feel like it has made up a few things about Spartacus and his adventures but keeps it's story in a good place. This is good for the younger readers around 11 years of age. It has lots of illustrations to showcase Spartacus and his life. Overall this book is really good and I really enjoyed it.

Horribly hilarious yet one of the most important events in history. Personally, I believe in full equality and I have therefore always been interested in studies based on freedom of humankind. Cultural historical studies throughout antiquity is something which I have always found fascinating as well, being the nerd that I am within. Granted, I did know much about this, having studies Roman history in my History A-levels class, but it never ceases to amaze me. Hermione Granger would definitely not beg to differ with her have the same beliefs as myself.

If you haven't heard about Spartacus before this book, it is sure to make you feel excited, sad and inspired. Story of a remarkable man who fought till the very end to see a world free of slavery. He motivated millions with his dream and lived on with his brave attempt. A must read. I was completely hooked page to page and will recommend it to anyone.

“Spartacus and his glorious gladiators” is one of the best books from the ‘Horribly Famous’ series. The book shows how Spartacus, a real, great hero, ruled people from different ethnicity. He was a shepherd, army man, gladiator, slave and a slave leader. After reading the book, one can understand the pain of gladiators, the cruelty of ancient Romans, the types of gladiators, slave’s revolt against Roman rule and the wars between slaves and roman army.

I enjoyed reading this book and became the fan of Spartacus and I started to read more about Roman culture. Even though he didn’t win the war against Romans, his bravery, leadership, courage to fight against slavery made him great hero. Even today we could hear the word “Spartacus” echoing everywhere when we think about gladiators.
