This is a review about the entire manga as a whole rather than just this volume!

I swear this manga is one of my old time favorites, if not my favorite to say the least.
It has all I love in a manga!/book!
Romance , school grounds, great friendships, bromance , action, suspense, supernatural powers, a very dystopian manga if you will.
I must admit this series made me cry, I don't think I've cried reading a manga the way I did with this one. Beside being the type to get sentimental when reading.
I really do get into the books I read. And I think this is one that definitely gets you in your feels, and one to really make you feel like a part of it. (if you know what I mean) lol
The action in this manga is absolutely well written and the fact that they are fighting for world peace is just one of the many reason why I love this manga.

So basically this is a story about a high school student name Lelouch who lives in Japan in the year 2010. when the Holy Britannian decide to declare war on Japan stripping citizens of their freedom. Leouch isn't really so thrilled and wants to do something about it, but his just a high school student what much can he do!
until one day he gets involved in the middle of a terrorist attack and finds a mystery girl name C.C (who may I say is such a smartass and is in love with pizza!!) Lol who happens to save his life , but before she does she tells him he has to make a contract with her.
so he does and she grants him the power of "Geass" allowing him to command anybody to do whatever he wants (Which I might add is amazing , who wouldn't want that power)
So with this new power he decides to use it to bring world peace!

All the things Lelouch and his friends and family go through in this manga is crazy. I love this manga because it has many twist and turns and I for one am A sucker for does kind of stories.
If you are looking to read a manga for the first time or just a manga to read this is one to go for! It's really and emotional roller coaster. It won't disappoint you as a reader.

Ok so I thought when I finished Naruto vol 71: I Love You Guys by Masashi Kishimoto that I would probably never write another review again. Well that was until Code Geass came along and kept me up all night.

One of my friends bought me the set for an early Christmas present and said that I would read all of them in one sitting. And I was like "Yea right! I have waaayyy too much homework to do that!!" Turns out, I did read them all in one sitting and I didn't finish any of my homework.

So Code Geass. Wow, gotta say that the protagonist Lelouch has some striking similarities to Death Note's Light Yagami. But even with these similarities, I found that Lelouch had one defining difference: he didn't let his supernatural power of Geass corrupt him like Light did and Lelouch knew when he was finished.

And also, the way Lelouch died was so much different than the way that Light died. During the Code Geass series, I was kind of surprised that I was able to sympathize with Lelouch. He did it all for the sake of making the world a better place for his sister, Nunnally.

I don't know, this series just made me like Lelouch. I mean, I was tearing up when Lelouch died, especially when he said this:

Suzaku, you shall kill me as promised. Right now all the hatred in the world is concentrated upon me as planned. Then all you have to do is erase my existence...put an end to this chain of hatred. The Black Knights will have the legend of Zero left behind for them. Schneizel will work for Zero. Now the world can be united at one table, not through violence and military force, but through negotiation and talk...it can embrace the future.

Code Geass was one heck of a ride and it kept me more than interested all the way to the end.

Unlike most CLAMP series, or series the group CLAMP is involved with, Code Geass' conclusion was satisfying. Not perfect mind you, but nowehere near as vague as many CLAMP series (Rayearth, Clover, Tsubasa Chronicle as examples). I will admit, and I'm avoiding spoilers here, I was surprised as to Lelouch's fate and pleased with Suzuku's. All in all I would have liked more world building of this AU in regards to the world's political structure.

A pesar de sus deficiencias, que vienen desde el primer tomo, el final fue épico, emotivo, y realmente me sorprendió en algunas cosas, como el destino de algunos de los personajes y algunos de los giros de la historia.
