I never would have thought that the day I exchanged matrimonial vows I would also have a boyfriend waiting for me back home. But there I was. And there he was. When I came back home, life went on, nothing changed and I couldn't have been happier. In my own selfish way, I had it all. I had cracked the code to having a happy, long-lasting relationship that others before me had learned but were too ashamed to infidelity. I thought I had it all figured out until my "boyfriend" got engaged, forcing me to question everything I thought I knew about love, lust and relationships. Is monogamy a man-made concept that we unrealistically enforce on ourselves or is it attainable with the right person?

I don't enjoy cheating h, or a focus on the two cheaters,so right there not my cuppa....Moreover,it is missing all elements I appreciate about cheating tale! So can't rec. On a positive note, the writing was on par!
Finished this one in two days - would've done so in one if I wasn't so tired and run down. It is a slim book, but it's not just that - its addictive reading! I was reading something else and only meant to peruse this one, but then it took over. I've never read anything like it before. Although the author has neither confirmed or denied that this story of a young woman's extra-marital affair is her own, it reads like a true-to-life account, warts and all; this makes it all the more interesting. There are a few typo's and errors in tense, but not enough to marr my enjoyment. The writing is functional, rarely poetic, but that suits the mood of this affecting study of the Unspoken Rules of Monogamy. I love the knowledge she drops about the invent of monogamy and other such tidbits too
I’m not a fan of cheating, but this was a surprisingly good read despite the fact. I also wonder if this is based on her life and would love to know if it is.
