MP3 CD Format Don’t allow a season to become your life sentence? Imagine a life in which we literally believe God and take Him at His Word, one in which we let the trials and tribulations that hit us roll off our backs. We look at those trials as a “life college” and learn everything we can through them. We get better, not bitter. When relationships fail, instead of looking at them as our personal failures, we believe rejection is God’s protection and that He wanted the people out of our lives. The points in this book are all about perception shifts—learning how to take the bad and shift it for our good. Everything happens for a reason, so instead of getting mad at God for not healing our marriages, giving us favor with a promotion, or saving us from bankruptcy, let’s look at everything we experience as a means of advancement in our lives.
Loved this book! Kim touched my heart & spoke to my spirit. The book included some Christianese which I'm not a fan, but Kim turns it to real talk to apply to real people in real life circumstances. With authenticity & transparency, Kim takes scripture & shows how to overcome the circumstances of life to achieve freedom, peace & joy. This book gives inspiration & encouragement to take one step at a time toward living a blessed life.
This book is amazing. Especially if you get the audio book nararated by Kim herself!!! She preached a word I needed to hear! And I felt like we were having a 1 on 1 conversation.
This is the first book I've read by Kimberly Jones-Pothier AKA Real Talk Kim. In it, she openly shares her life/faith stories. She has named herself well - this woman does real talk, and it is inspiring. For anyone who struggles with their faith, their lives, their self-worth, their path, this book will give you some new perspectives to think about.
An interesting, enjoyable, and thought provoking read.
I thought it was a good book. The author was very vulnerable in sharing her truth, and I think she did a good job with releasing some of her past. Not only that, but she took the blame for the mistakes in her past, not pushing them on her parents, like some people have done.
Definitely enjoyed her ability to be down to earth and have god rolled into one without forcing anything. She was honest and established his roles in life and situations.
