A great book.. If you've ever read any self-help books, Anthony Robbins, Chicken Soup, Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, One Minute Manager... then I strongly recommend reading this different approach. Written by Ross Shafer, "Nobody Moved Your Cheese! How to ignore the "experts" and trust your gut".. takes a humorous yet critical look at the world of Motivational speaking and the related book/system promotion. He isn't above offering his own self-help tips, but without the usual hype.

Mr. Shafer is a comedian first, so you shouldn't expect much from him in terms of business insight. Each chapter starts by poking fun at the quick-fix business bestsellers of past decades and ends with the same message. Still, that one message still resonates after having finished the book several months ago, which I paraphrase as this: "Don't wait for someone else to tell you what to do or how to think. You're closest to the problem; you know what is best!"
