Playing it for Keeps
Asteroid mining wasn't easy, but the pay was great! The downside was that there were no women at all on the base. Instead the company provided sex-bots for the crew's needs. Unfortunately most of these were broken down, worn out, sad pieces of depravity. One fine day all of this changed though, when a couple of insanely sexy women were assigned to the base. This was a godsend, but one that came with a high price.

Cheap restaurants and aging casinos with showrooms booked with performers whose careers were on their last legs littered the strip. As a young teenager running the streets of Vegas, characters were abundant, and this is where his passion for writing began. While the streets of Vegas gave him the characters and helped cultivate his love for writing, the Red Rock Canyon Mountains gave him peace and his love for nature and the outdoors.
After high school, B.J. traveled to the far east and was enamored by not only the landscape, which was the opposite of the Nevada desert but also by the people and the culture. While there, he became intrigued by martial arts and subsequently spent years training which he felt gave him the balance he needed.
If you would like to know more about B.J. Hardy just read his books. His fantasies are in the pages, but you can be sure his nightmares are there too.

HOT AND STEAMY WITH A SURPRISE TWIST
First read by this author. This to me was a refreshing novella. It was a perfect story to sit and relax and enjoy the banter and hot, steamy one handed read. It actually had a really good story with it and a twist I didn't see. So because of that I say BRAVO!!!! Hope he has more of these to come.

I give Playing It for Keeps by B.J. Hardy Five Stars. This is BJ’s debut Novella and I absolutely LOVED IT. This story by B.J. Hardy was very well written, a very quick read and had me laughing out loud on the first page. Playing it for Keeps was a sci-fi erotica novella, please do not let this deter you, it is considered sci-fi because of the setting of the book.
Rex was stuck in outer space mining asteroids, the good thing about the job was that he made great money, the bad thing about the job is that there was no woman on the base. As all men have needs the company helps them out by providing sex bots. As you can only imagine these sex bots got used so much that they were all in bad shape with some falling apart. The guys complained constantly about the issues but one day the complaints stopped and the sex bots stopped being used. The reason this happened was because two gorgeous sexy women got dropped off at the base. You will not believe the thing that happened next.
This book had a little violence but nothing to bad and it needed to be in the book for the story. There was a lot sexual content and the scenes are amazingly written and very very hot. BJ has an amazing writing style and I cannot wait to read more of his books. I feel if you like HOT BOOKS you should read this, I had a hard time putting it down.

This debut novel by B.J. Hardy is a wonderfully light and refreshing erotic read that will leave you panting and wanting more; so much more! This standalone novella is set in a sci-fi setting but don’t let that fool you as there are so many more elements to the story. The author has a brilliant writing style and an amazing ability to pull you into the storyline from page one and keep you captivated all the way to the very last page. The characters are strong and very well developed. The plot is deliciously original which is one of the many things I love about Playing It For Keeps. Along with all the hot and steamy scenes, there is also a plot twist that you won’t see coming. Such an amazing debut from B.J. Hardy and I look forward to reading many more stories by this wonderfully talented author. It goes without saying that I highly recommend a 1-click purchase today on this fantastic 5+ Star Read!

B.J.Hardy has entered into the book world with a bang. Playing it for Keeps was a fun and hot read. Set in an all male mining community in space where sex-bots are the companions to relieve the itch until a relief ship from earth brings real women. Good twist at the end.If you like a book with lots of hot sex included in the story you need to read Playing it for keeps. Great job B.J.Hardy

A steamy sci-fi debut by an author I can’t wait to see more from. The story is a fun and sexy short that takes you on a ride. While we meet a few of the guys on the station, the story follows the life of Rex and his time on the station. Sexy times with bots and girls makes Rex’s time a little more bearable. Fun and flirty dialogue, interesting characters and an interesting setting makes this book a great read. Add in an ending that I didn’t see coming made this not only a fun read but a surprising one as well.

First I’ll start off saying I was a bit nervous to read this book being i have never read a sci-fi story before, but don’t let that fool ya because this story was so amazing and easy to follow.
The story wasn’t focused totally on Sci-Fi just some elements of the job which the main character Rex was doing working on an Asteroid Minning Base which btw has no woman so.... we get to venture into the world of some old sex bots which have been keeping these men satisfied, that is until two woman are brought on board to help the team.
This story had me hysterical laughing at some parts I’ll admit it’s all kinda new to me with the “sex bots” but next thing I knew I was very overheated with the sexy af scenes.
I really enjoyed it, and I can’t believe this is the Authors first Debut Novella the writing was amazing he really does have a way with words and a plot twist I did not see coming. I can’t wait to read more from Author B.J. Hardy.

This is B J Hardy's first book and was honored to received the ARC for my honest review. Rex had signed a 2yr contract with B.E.M. Corp, Belt Exploration Mining Corp a year ago as a pilot. His job was to fly from the main base to the astroid base, pick up the mined ore, and bring it back. Not a bad job, with great pay. The only draw back? No women on the planet and he wasn't due to get leave for another year. Thank goodness they had sexbots, but what he wouldn't give to have a live woman. He was 6ft tall, relatively good looking and had no problem with women on earth. As a matter of fact, he carried the reputation of a player. When a supply shipment came and dropped off 2 women at the base station filled with men who hadn't seen a live woman in some time, the rules began to change. Not only that, Rex has to make some discoveries and changes in himself. This was an easy read filled with hot, steamy, sex scenes with characters that were truly enjoyable.

Rex Sommers is stationed for a two year contract at an Asteroid Mining Base. Unfortunately there are no women at this post so the base is filled to the brim with testosterone. Their only sexual relief is a bunch of worn out and broken down sex-bots. Over a year into his contract, two women are assigned to the base. What Rex would give to have some skin on skin contact, but he plays it cool as he knows every man on the base will be pursuing Roberta and Shari. This hot and steamy sci-fi novella tells the story from Rex's perspective. It is a funny and sexy must read with an unexpected ending. B.J. Hardy does not disappoint with this 5 Star debut!

B.J. Hardy did a great job for his debut novel for his Playing It For Keeps. If you are looking for a quick, hot and steamy read, this is the book. He did a great job to make you connect with the character and feel the loneliness of the time spent in space with no real female companionship. Then here comes this gorgeous woman beyond anyone's wildest dreams. He does well in conveying the emotions of the characters in the book. Oh and did I mention the book is HOT??
Don't let the scifi tag deter you from picking up this book if you are not into science fiction. It does NOT read like that at all. Can't wait to see what he has coming out next!

I'm going to be completely honest here, please don't shank me lol! I loved how fast paced, easy to read, and steamy this book is *fans self*. I also like the overall concept of it, but *hangs head*. I felt like some of the wordage came across a bit juvenile, which made it a bit awkward during certain scenes. The only other thing I wasn't a huge fan of was all of the giggling. I'm ok with some giggles here and there, but would've liked some snickers, chuckles, ect. as well. Other than those two minor, very much personal opinion, things I really enjoyed this book.

This debut book is an erotic sci-fi novella, one where there are sex-bots and space mining. It was highly entertaining and full of steamy scenes, but it also told the story of Rex and his desire for Roberta. While the story is told in third person, it was still lively and engaging, with some spot-on humorous moments as well as some sad ones. It was a quick and easy read, with great interaction between the characters. I wanted to know a little bit more about Tucker as well.

This sci-fi erotic novella by debut author B.J. Hardy had a very interesting concept and unique plot/story line. I liked the plot setting and was intrigued by how different this book was compared to anything else out there. However, it felt like one erotic scene after another with out a lot of development or story in between. I would have liked to see this flushed out more. It was a very quick and steamy read and if that's what you're in the mood for I do recommend.

B.J. Hardy is a New author and this is his debut. This is an erotic sci-fi and it was absolutely amazing. It was so well written you could easily get swept up in the story.

This is the first book by B.J. Hardy and I loved it! So different from anything I've read before. Erotic, sci-fi, a few twists, funny and of course heart. I can't wait for what Mr. Hardy has for us next. If you are looking for something new, give this author a shot.

Great Debut Book!!!
B.J. Hardy debut novel Playing it for Keeps is an erotic sci-fi. I was very pleased with how it flowed from the begining and catches your interest. You get lots of Hot scenes and i really loved the characters. I definitely recommend this book to sci-fi and non sci-fi readers, and I look forward to what else B.J.Hardy brings us.

This book was not my cup of tea. Fairly well written but wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Very fast paced and over the top. I didn't t relate to any character so I was left a decent read but nothing else.

I FLOVED this book! Playing It For Keeps is an erotic sci-fi romance that is amazingly well written and it will draw you in within seconds. It has violence, humor, and plenty of steamy romance, and the adventures with the sexbots will have you laughing out loud. This is one story you definitely need to check out! I can't wait to read more from B. J. Hardy.

An Asteroid as Barren as the Plot Development
Had the writing *only* been mechanical, the context would justify the choice. A big problem is that nothing connects...not the main character as an individual, nor the base, nor the *twist* which was pretty obvious for this reader. Only one opinion, to be sure, but this was not for me.

This is B.J Hardy's debut book and it certainly gets your attention from the first page! This is the first sci-fi erotica book I have read and it kept me turning the pages, intrigued as to how this was going to end. It was a quick, very steamy read with a twist that I wasn't expecting at all!!

This is B.J. Hardy's debut book and it was an amazing read! Playing it for Keeps is an erotic sci-fi romance that was well written and will hook you in within seconds. It has humor, steamy romance and a twist you'll never see coming. It's a bit more different than the other sci-fi books that I have read but overall it's worth the read. Can't wait to see what else he has up his sleeves!

Hardy and it is an erotic sci fi romance this is not my usual genre and I wasn’t really sure what to expect, tbh I thought maybe aliens and monsters etc, but let me tell you I was more than pleasantly surprised this book is fantastic and so hot !!. The characters we easy to get to know and move along the story with and the storyline was brilliantly written keeping you turning page after page with sexy hot scenes and also scenes that genuinely made me laugh out loud all in all this is a very well written book by a very talented author and it will definitely not be the last I read from them. I would definitely recommend this book.
