When you're from an English-speaking country, the usual suggestion is to read Hubert Dreyfus's Being-in-the-World, which I must admit is a suggestion I give most people wanting to dive into early-Heidegger.
I, however, think this would be another suitable suggestion to give the potential Being and Time reader, but much like secondary literature on a tome like Being and Time (Macquarrie and Robinson translation), reading this should not be seen as a substitute for the actual book.
