A wonderful start of a new series, by Andrew. It's about Theo. He was talked into something by his sister in law, to do something what he really didn't wanted to do. But he did it anyway. However, was it a good thing? Because, as they get back home...right, back home. what happen to his home planet?

He discovers that they are both part of a group of rebels who are against the empire. Now that he is caught up in their adventures he has become a fugitive. A man on the run.

This was a fast paced first book and I will be waiting to see what happens next.
Annihilation is a great start to the Relissarium Wars Space Opera series from Andrew C. Broderick. This short novella sized story is part one, of what I can only assume, is a serialisation.
It follows Theo, a struggling farmer, as he attempts to earn some supplementary income, in order to provide for his family. When a simple exchange of goods backfires, Theo finds himself in the centre of a heated rebellion. With the law on his heels and no way home, his only option is to help the Carbonari rebels as they prepare for war.
This first instalment introduces us to the main cast of characters, and with it page-turning action, suspense and an engaging story which sets up the rest of the series. At 5 out of 5 stars, I can’t wait to read more.
I received an ARC of this book from Andrew C. Broderick and voluntarily chose to write this review.
I really liked this book. The alien creatures working with or against the humans. There is a lot of futuristic scenes in this book, but also all the human behaviors that we know and how it affects the lives and deaths. There were intrigue, excitement and a well-written story. I couldn't put this book down, I read from beginning to end in one day. I have not read anything by this author before but I will be looking for more books by this author
It was a good and short read, fast paced and intense, though the first two pages don't seem that way, they do serve a purpose as they offer contrast. You probably won't like the protagonist at first, but you'll get to see him change.
It's the first book of a series but has a proper ending, that was sort of obvious for me but still worked quite nicely.
I have read other titles by this author and this is the most thrilling one yet! At first, you could care less about the main character and his very ordinary hard-scrabble farm existence. But then, things get real and he has it in him to be a team player for the forces of good. He helps out the others regardless of their diversity and is galvanized by tragedy. This series is what space opera is all about.
A simple request from your sister-in-law, what could possibly go wrong! Theo is a farmer dropping off his last load for the season, staying late to drop off an envelope at his sister-in-law's request. Suddenly thrust into the chaotic world of rebels and danger heretofore unknown in his life. He just wanted to make a little extra money to buy more seed for the spring crop. Now people are dead, the authorities are chasing him; his only safety is in teaming up with the rebels at least for now!
Fast Paced Space Opera: Review from an ARC, I received no remuneration for this review. Starts out fairly slowly and peacefully, however, once the action starts it never stops. The author doesn't leave the characters behind in the action, however, they are well developed. There is also enough backstory that you aren't going huh? A trifle short but a very enjoyable read. Bring on Blood Red!
Short story for the start of the Relissarium War series. It was an easy read from start to finish. Follow Theo on his adventures forced on him by his sister in law. There is face to face combat and ground ship combat. It's a well rounded story with a cracker of an ending wanting you to buy the next book in the series. I'll give that a go!
This book won't take long to read, and is a fast paced adventure involving thieves, revolutionaries and one humble farmer called Theo. Our hero finds himself drawn into plots and crazy undertakings when all he wants is to get home to his farm. Will he ever make it back home?
Good Solid start to a new series. Theo is a farmer on the moon of Relisse he agrees to take a letter for this Brother to a man called Garth. This simple act turns his life upside down and he finds himself with a group of revolutionaries. Full of action and adventure very good story
A great start to a new series. I really like multi book series, and this one has me hooked! The premise is good, the characters are interesting, and the story line seems to move along quickly. I'll definitely be reading more in this series!
The tension started on page one and never let up. The story is short but has a lot packed in to it. I feel like I've just had a small glimpse of this world and there is so much more to uncover.
really liked this short story about a farmer who agrees to help his brother and sister in law on a job even though he doesnt trust either of them great story lots of action cant wait for book 2
With Annihilation we get all the hallmark of any great episodic story: fast pace, fast action and fast characters introduction. The series seems to be a great space opera in the making and the author has a good grip on how to grab the reader and keep his interest. This is one great exemple on how to do this format properly. Highly recommended.
I've just finished reading Book 1 of The Relissarium Wars and found it an excellent read. Theo is a farmer, but is persuaded by his brother to pick up a package for him on his regular trip to the market. This simple favour lands Theo into something much bigger and more dangerous than he thought. The book is well written. There is plenty of action and the characters are believable. I would recommend this book to any scifi fan and fans of action.
