Bella Jeanisse lives for rock music. Addicted to concerts, Avenged Sevenfold, fictional rockers, and blasting music in the car, she can’t get enough. After her father turned her on to Queen, there was no going back. Of course, it didn’t stop there. Playing guitar became a pastime, which didn’t turn into a career… until she started to pen her fantasies and publish them.
Originally from Brooklyn, New York City, she grew up with access to clubs like L’Amour and CBGBs, hung out in Greenwich Village, as well as had plenty of friends in bands. No wonder rockers stayed on her mind. Bringing her ideas to life was a long time coming.
She is now living near Tampa, FL with 3 kids and 2 grandkids, as a single mom. Her family supports her writing even when it seems to take up more time than they feel is necessary. Can’t stop the muse, ya know!
Besides erotic rock star romances, Bella also writes about wild bikers, hot college men and more.
For those who love rock romance, Ms. Jeanisse has another winner on her hands. Now we get the guys from Silverblade and with their bassist, Troy, dying just a few months ago Shane finally feels like it’s time to find another bassist/vocalist and get his band back on the road again but this time all the guys are finally clean and sober. Zach has more than proven himself as the new guy and he is awestruck by Silverblade but Shane thinks he is worthy of stepping into their band.
Shane’s daughter, Abigail is all grown up at the age of 17 and is trying to make amends with her dad but there is someone else who has caught her interest…Zach. This is nothing but trouble in so many ways but has you turning pages just to see if there is a chance or has the bond that has formed between Zach and Shane one that Zach is not going to chance ruining.
All of Ms. Jeanisse’s books take you directly into the world of rock and roll and makes you feel as a voyeur into their lives. I cannot wait to see where the next book in the Silverblade series takes us. I highly recommend this book.
Another amazing rockstar read! I loved meeting the newest addition to the band in Zack. While he doesn't replace Troy, he brings his own unique talent that enhances the band. I loved seeing Shane and the others again. It was nice to catch up on all that they've been up to. I'm really looking forward to reading more by this author. She never fails to lure me into her rockstar's worlds.
This book takes on some pretty heavy themes (addiction, life in the music industry after rehab, death of loved ones due to addiction, parenting after an accidental teen pregnancy, financial hardship, and more) and handles them with vivid and gritty realism. I can't decide whether I was more drawn to the maturity of Shane's story or the forbidden passion of Zack's story, but I'm hoping we get to see both of them play out in the rest of the series. This is a multi-layered and engaging start to the Silverblade series, and I'm absolutely looking forward to the next book. Fair warning: the sex-and-groupies side of rockstar life isn't sugarcoated, so it may not be for the more squeamish reader on that front. 4.5 stars
I loved this book. Once again Bella knocked it outta the park. My heart broke for Shane. But I was glad he was finally able to move on. I will be impatiently waiting for the next book. I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the band. Thank u Bella for sharing your wonderful rockstar stories with us.
We have to pleasure of meeting the guys from Sliverblade this time. This band has a different type of charisma. We follow Shane through a major change in his life and his band. We meet his daughter Abigail and learn their history and take a ride along to learn how they are dealing with life as a family.
And we are introduced to a new player, Zach. He just happens to catch Tommy and Zach's eye while they are out scouting for a new bass player for Silverblade. He plays the bass with a talent most band members can't do. We learn his history and found out a very interesting surprise along the way.
Since this is a spinoff of other books, we get to replay some very important moments which effects all the bands.
As with each book this author builds upon she gives a new look at our favorite guys, some of their women and a great perspective on what life is beyond our normal lives.
I LOVE every book and I long for each new one I know will captivate me. I was so certain on my favorite characters from previous books but I have to add a new one or two this time
Highly recommended for fans of band books and of our very talent Bella Jeanisse.
Every time I start a new book by Bella I wonder if she is going to be able to top the last one. I have read every single book she's put out and I haven't found ONE that I don't like. They just keep getting better and better. With Silverblade we meet a new band (although Shane is in parts of other books) and get to learn their group dynamic, especially with a new member joining the band. Zack and Shane are very different in age yet seem so similar, both looking for love in the crazy world of stardom. It was a fantastic read and I am so excited for others to get to meet them! A big hit by Bella Jeanisse and I know there are more to come! She can't do it any other way!!
Bella has once again has shown us her mad writing skills. Silverblade follows the survivors of the group Shane , Kyle and Carter as they try to find a new member for the band after losing Troy. Bella will not leave you disappointed. there is so much in this story that you will want to go back and read it again to make sure you didnt miss anything.
As a reader obsessed with rockstar romances I found myself captivated by this book from the very first page to the last with its gritty realism, angst, and complex romance pushing me to keep turning the pages. In a tale of loss, addiction, and second chances readers will find themselves put through the emotional wringer alongside the men of Silverblade and coming out the other side feeling immensely satisfied and ready for the next installment in this series.
Shane Martin’s life has been a tough one full of unexpected twists and turns. From becoming a teen dad to gaining musical notoriety to losing himself amidst the fame, Shane’s now left feeling adrift. As a rockstar he should’ve been living a life of ease, but the ravages of addiction hurt his band and resulted in the death of his bandmate and best friend. Just when he’s ready to call it quits though he stumbles across a musician that reawakens his musical drive and together they bring Silverblade back from the ashes. It’s not an easy journey though as he tries to solidify a relationship with his daughter who finds herself attracted to the new bassist. Being a father soon wars with being a bandmate and adds even more angst into Silverblade’s resurrection. Shane’s a larger than life hero, far from perfect, but immensely appealing for all his imperfections. While we’ve seen glimpses of him throughout this author’s other works, this is the story where everything comes full circle for him on many levels and I was captivated by his evolution. He’s been bruised throughout his life but never broken and I was rooting for him to succeed every step of the way, to find his own HEA.
Zack Bryant’s a musical genius with a band just biding time until he’s discovered and becomes the latest addition to Silverblade. Zack’s young and eager and brings a breath of fresh air to a band ravaged by the pain and loss of addiction. He’s got issues of his own though, surprises that come out as this story progresses, that kept me fully invested in his bonding with the band. His relationship with Shane’s daughter is a forbidden one, one that could harm his place in the band but it’s too powerful for him to ignore in its eroticism and sweetness. I enjoyed his complex relationship with Shane as it evolved from mentor, to bandmate, to father of the young lady he’s coming to care for. The dichotomy kept me glued to the pages and on edge as I continued to root the band on in their journey back to the top of the charts.
This is an exhilarating read that didn’t pull any punches when it came to its depiction of the rockstar lifestyle. There’s groupies and the energy of the stage that fully immersed me in its storytelling while pulling at my heartstrings for all that the band’s gone through and all they hope to accomplish now that they’re clean. On a whole this is an immensely satisfying series starter that lays some heavy groundwork, giving us some answers while tempting us with more. By the turn of the final page I’m left cheering yet breathlessly anticipating more from a band empowered by their painful past and ready to make the most of their second chance.
Shane Martin, lead vocalist of Silverblade, has given up on keeping his band together. He doesn’t know how to go on after the loss of their bassist and his best friend, Troy. When Troy’s widow insists he start the search, he does. No one was good enough until he found Zack.
Shane is still dealing with the death of his bandmate and best friend Troy. The now sober Shane is dealing with depression, heartache and remorse. Zack is apart of a local band and hopes to make a living off music one day. Zack is alone in this world outside of his girlfriend. Unfortunately even that is on the rocks. These two have undeniable chemistry when then start playing together. Shane almost feels like he is playing with Troy again. Zack is happy to have a steady paying gig, he just isnt sure how to feel about the stardom the come along with it.
This book was just a good read for me. It is written from multiple POV's. While usually I would love to hear what is going on with each character, it was a bit much in this book. The way the speaker and characters thoughts changed withing the same paragraph at times were confusing. I found myself going back to reread certain things to verify the speaker. Even though the book started off a little slow for me, the author had a way of drawing me and and making me invested in each characters story. I cannot wait to see how things progress with each character individually and the band as a whole.
If you love rock-star romance - Bella has hit another one out of the arena! In this series we are going to get to know the rockers from Silverblade. A few months ago the bassist from Silverblade died of an overdose. Shane is finally at a point that it's time to get a new bassist/vocalist and get back on the road. Tony's death put the world in perspective and Shane is sober and ready to live again. The search to get going is imperative and life throws them to direction of a young artist just starting out, when they ask Zach to give it a go - they band is stunned by how well the fit is.
Zack, hasn't had it easy and as the plot twists, we are lead on his journey. Throw Abigail, Shane's 17 year old daughter into the mix. Since Tony, died they are mending their fences and Shane is stepping up in a different way than he ever has before (actually being there instead of just being the bank, his ex has taught her to use him as). Only problem, Abby is really into ZacK and well Zack likes his balls and the band, so she is forbidden fruit.
Ms. Jeanisse, takes us on a great ride, she will keep you turning pages. Be forewarned - it deals with the nitty gritty dirt that goes with a rocker - groupies, sex, underage parenthood, drugs. However, the author melds them all together for a well written story. Already kicking into the second book in the series.
“Silverblade” is a fantastic must read & the first book I’ve ever read by Ms. Jeanisse, but it won't be the last! ... I was hooked from the beginning, as it took me on an emotional roller-coaster ride with some heavy dark times but kept me turning pages like crazy! ... With a unique contemporary rocker/band plot, showcasing their lives at home or on the road, with some dark times & real-life issues, but also added in is some sizzling hot romance at other times. Well-defined characters & great descriptions that kept me glued to my seat not wanting to stop! ... Even tho I volunteered to read this book, this is my own opinion without any outside influences & I honestly recommend this to adult 18+ fans of fiction. I look forward to reading more in the future from this author!
This was a highly emotional book on a lot of levels! There are a lot of heavy issues dealt with in this story, addiction, rehab and death of a loved one due to addiction, just to name a few.
Silverblade's bassist Troy passed away and the band has done nothing about it for awhile. His widow encourages Shane to find someone to fit in and get the band back on the road. An accidental meeting, right time at the right place kind of thing, puts Shane and Zach in contact with each other. And Zach joins the band. I felt very bad for Zach many times....he's got some learning issues and isn't very confident. Nevertheless, he fits in well! I felt bad for Shane too, who is still in the process of healing from Troy's death.
Throw in the mix Shane's 17 year old daughter who has an immediate attraction to Zach and you've got trouble.
There is a little bit of romantic attraction in this book, but there are some screaming hot sex scenes that will set your hair on fire!
This is an emotional journey that throws you in the middle of the life of the band both on and off the road.
"Bringing someone new in was hard for me to fathom. Everyone else told me I needed to." He couldn't help but smile. "You being in this band helped me heal. It's gonna be a long road, but I wanted to thank you."
I can't wait for the next book in this series. I highly recommend this author if you love the rock and roll lifestyle.
