Teachers Discovering Teaching in a Connected World, Seventh Edition introduces future educators to technology and digital media in order to help them successfully teach the current generation of digital students.
Comprehensive but dull. Definitely inappropriate as a tertiary-level set text - simple-level content, badly presented, very "cluttery"... uses the excuse of "teaching teachers to teach technology" to cobble together what is basically a collection of easily-researched facts interspersed with bizarre generalisations (mostly tailored to the US high-school market, as far as I can tell) and glib, product-endorsing content that explains little more than an office supplies catalogue would. *Hideously* overpriced, and definitely neither written nor targeted well enough for the Australian B. Ed market. Not recommended.
I had to read this book for my Educational Technology class. This book helped me with my power points, quizzes, and discussions. I would say that I know more about the different tools I can do to create a fun and an exciting power point for my classroom in the future. I definitely recommend this book for those who want to know more about technology.
