There are refined persons who contend with warmth and some truth that fighting has its brutal aspect. It no doubt seems, at first sight, cruel to break a man's jaw, knock out his teeth, or double him up with a well-tucked-in hit on the mark, but if he richly deserves such treatment, who has a right to complain? It is a great thing to feel con fident that you are able to in?ict the damage, and the feeling will not make you quarrelsome or brutal unless you are so by nature.
