descriptionAfter that crazy cliffhanger from book one I was dying to dive into this book, and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed it a whole heck of a lot. Even more than the first. I was a little nervous about how it started out. I was worried we were going to have a book full of everyone hating on Gemma and chasing after Matthias. Luckily, that isn't what happened and we head very quickly into what I especially love about this entire series...the character interactions and the feeling of family this group has.

description

As is typical of these author's, the writing was fantastic. It was a fairly short book that took me around two hours to complete. It was told in a dual POV format. The plot was engaging and kept me turning the pages. There was a little angst at the start, but other than that this was a fairly easy peasy book relationship wise. There was no OW or OM drama. The sex scenes were hot and plentiful. As always, the secondary characters were awesome. I really hope Oscars duet is up next. AND...did I detect a little something with Andromeda and maybe Ian?? Both Gemma and Matthias were very likable and had a great on page chemistry as well. Last, it was all wrapped up in an OK HAPPY FOR NOW ending. Personally, I would have liked a bit more in that regard, but since we see these characters often in other books, I am going to assume we will be hearing more about their future in upcoming books. All in all, this was a great conclusion to a really great duet and a great addition to the series overall.description

So Sinful starts off right where Sin ended. You have to read the first books to understand what is going on.

We now know what Matthias is going through a lot more. Matthias has gone rogue and so we get a bit more action in this book. I really enjoy him and Gemma. She is the perfect soulmate for him. I won't give anything away since this is the last book other than you really should read these books.

Damn, these Malone women can WRITE!! Through all the various Blake Security stories, my love for their writing has grown, as has my love for their heroes and heroines. I have a soft spot for the original couple, Noah and Lucia, and always will, but I can safely say that Matthias and Gemma have uprooted them in my heart with their amazing journey to love.

Sinful picks up right where Sin left off, with everyone reeling at the change in Matthias, who has just run off after nearly taking Noah and Rafe out. So it's now up to Gemma to go get her man. But will she have the support of Blake Security or will they be too mad at her for flipping Matthias' kill switch and making him revert to his cold-blooded assassin alter ego? Thankfully, as Gemma comes to realize, Blake Security is a family, and Matthias is part of that family, so they offer her their support as they struggle to find and bring in one of their own.

In case you were wondering, Sinful answers a lot of questions that have popped up throughout the Blake Security series about ORUS and Noah and Matthias' beginnings, and it finally gives us Matthias' complete backstory. It's a doozy, so come prepared. But do be expecting to be dazzled, because you will be. Sinful is trademark Malone goodness - action-packed, intriguing, super steamy, with characters whose many different layers are only beginning to be peeled back. I'm anxiously awaiting the next member of the Blake Security team to get his story (Oskar please!) Whose ever it ends up being, it will be hard to top Matthias and Gemma's story, but I know if anyone can top their own amazing story, it's the Malones.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

But Blake Security, Matt's adopted family, and his childhood love Gemma don't seem to know what's good for them and follow. When The Family, a criminal organisation that wants to kill Matt, kidnaps Gemma, the rag tag bunch at Blake Security that had become Matt's family rally behind him. Will Matt be able to save Gemma and get his HEA with her?

"I received a complimentary copy of this book and have volunteered to leave a review."

There are times, just like this one, that I'm in a loss of words however I'm in awe of the mind, in that case minds, who conceived and formulate the type of story that has not only taken my breath away with its uncharacteristic by all standards romantic suspense but also, riveted me in place with it's full-force, action-packed scenes. The Malones, once again, have shown how talented and versatile they are!!!

Firstly, I would like to express how deeply sorry I am for being late with my review. Lately, I am quite behind with my reviews and there are many reasons why. The main reason, and the cause for creating all the others, is that I'm a very active stay at home mum who is trying to start a business from home. So girls, M. & Nana, I hope you will understand...

Back to Sinful... I believe you have already read the synopsis. Yet you don't know who is the man behind these words. Let me clear this out to you then. Matthias Weller, the computer intelligent kid who didn't talk much yet was always efficient to any mission Blake Security had on the line. I could try to imagine him each time his name was called on by some Blake Security member, yet he kept staying a mystery man. When Before Sin was revealed and read it, I couldn't hold my smile reaching my ears from happiness. My wish finally came true, and...Oh, boy, it was worth all the waiting.

Without revealing much about Matthias's and Gemma's story I would explain few of the things that made Sin Duet the most favourite to me from the others.

For starters, its storyline it's quite different. While the romance is there, both Matthias and Gemma are the very opposite of what we have seen in Blake Security so far. However, the erotic element, which the Malones are very keen to deliver, is there and this time, extremely explosive...

Then, there is Matthias's past which is so dark and dangerous, that catapults the story to a higher spot from where the other members story did. I'm still under Matthias haze and I truly love it!...He might be an assassin, a deadly weapon but he can treat the woman he cares for the ultimate pleasure...

Moreover, the Malones made few welcome changes on this story to make it more intriguing. Gemma's background is on the same level as Matthias. You might not understand its meaning but this little detail has a great impact to the storyline and how it is going to unfold. The other change is how the story is narrated. The plot itself holds more action, more mystery, more danger than the other duets have. Also there are some unpredictable twists and turns, just like Matthias's unpredictability, into the story. The Malones's humour never misses its charm and stays on throughout Sinful Duet giving that perfect atmosphere the Blake Security members have so effortlessly created through their own stories. An atmosphere full of testosterone and alpha men...
My simple suggestion: Just join them.

Until next time, enjoy your free time reading great books with the most unforgettable stories.

Why you should read it: This is the conclusion to the duet focusing on Matthias’s back story. If you enjoyed the prologue Before Sin and Sin then you’ll want to know what happened after that huge cliffhanger! Sinful had plenty of drama, sexual heat and action. Matthias has a lot to deal with and he’s more than ready to succeed so that he and Gemma can be together.

What you might not like: This book seemed rather disjointed to me in places. The action chopped and changed and at times it felt as though I’d skipped a few pages. For example - at the end of book two Matthias hates Gemma. At the start of book three, their reconciliation has totally been skimmed over. This happens in a few places, which made it a little confusing at times, not to mention a bit frustrating. Without dropping any spoilers, this duet has been building and building to a huge climax, but in some respects the showdown was a bit of an anti-climax. New plot-lines were added in towards the end that had me scratching my head as it was brand new information! I don't know, maybe my issues with the book will be ironed out at editing stage, but for me, the scenes I wanted to read just weren't there.

My other issue with the book was that Gemma is a trained machine, just like Matthias. But in this book, she doesn't get to kick ass much at all!

Rating: 3/5 - all in all, an enjoyable read, but it wasn’t a perfect read. Bit disjointed but worth your time.

4.5 stars.

Picking up from where the previous book ended, Sinful is quick in getting the action started and my heart literally broke for Matthias in the beginning of this book. I’ve always been a massive fan of his, he’s definitely been my man since I was introduced to him and I hated seeing the effects of his past hitting him full force. Of course he’s got his friends and colleagues rallying around to help him whether he wants their help or not, not only in getting answers but also in getting some closure.

Gemma...I had a hate/love/hate thing with her in the previous book but that changed yet again with this instalment. Finally getting the truth helped win me over to her side but what really sold me was the way she genuinely did care about Matthias.

This book was everything I’ve come to expect from these two authors. Full of action, suspense, mystery and so much hotness it’ll have you fanning yourself, Sinful is a brilliant conclusion to Matthias and Gemma’s story.

Dear Malone’s,

These duets you write so well are killing me. As I’m just getting into the first book and I’m flipping pages as quick as I can and I’m thinking omg, omg, yes, yes, yes... it ends. Whoops, sorry I’m done. Yes, I’m aware I left you with a cliffy and on the cusp and you’re now screaming for more.

Thus, I cuss, scream, holler, rant, rave, and possibly break things in my frustration.

But magically the second part of the duet comes out and you’re ready to finish what you started. Yep, we pick up right where we left off and get the remainder of the story, and I’m quickly back to omg, omg, yes, yes, more, yesssss... just like that.

Now, I’m a satisfied girl, living in bliss needing a cigarette from the ride you just took me on.

Please don’t change a thing as we love your stories just the way they are.

I'm crying over the heartfelt story that just unfolded in this series. From the prequel, the first part, and now the conclusion, my heart was broken, pieced together, then shattered repeatedly with all the plot twists. Mathias is still my favorite from the Blake Security crew, and I'm finally glad his story was told. I knew it easy going to be a rough ride, but it was so much more, and so amazing!!!

wow Matthias has a lot going on in this book, he has Gemma but when she says something to him he becomes super soldier and runs , but he doesn't go off like he used to.
Gemma and Blake security look for him and when they find him they figure out just what has happened to make him flip like he did and why Gemma did what she did, but there are secrets none of them know about and when more of their past comes into play will they all make it out alive?

Ohhh my goodness! Matthias is a freaking ninja. I love this book and finding out more of what happens in the world of Blake security men. Matthias has always had a dark side that made him stand out from the others. He is quiet and always seemed to be thinking. Gemma brings him out of his shell and as characters there brilliant together. Gemma is a total badass herself. This whole series has had me itching to read more and I even may or may not actually emailed the author seeing when next books were out at one stage! I do hope there are more books coming. This is a series I don't want to end EVER 😀 These authors have done a fantastic job with this book. You truly get soo lost in the story

I got a book from the author and it was that amazing a left this review

I love the characters and the support and love they have for each other. Matthias and Gemma had great chemistry. Sometimes I felt that Gemma was so indecisive. The twists blew my mind. I sure didn’t see some of them coming. An amazing book with romance, suspense, and mystery.

Sinful is simply sinfully delicious!!
Fast paced quick read, this installment on the Sin series, is intense, rich and sexy!
This is not a standalone! You must read Before Sin and Sin first!
That said, Matthias and Gigi are back with a vengeance. Their story continued to develop and unfold flawlessly.
There was angst steam and a story that was rich in story and heat.

Hot damn the men of Blake Security are so hot! We finally get the ending to Matthias' & Gemma's story. This is Book 3 in the Sin Duet Book Series. I loved the 1st 2 books in this series. They had me hanging on the edge of my seat and flipping the pages as fast as I could. The cliffhanger damn near killed me. I couldn't wait to dig into Book 3!

This isn't your average romance. It is intense, dark, twisted, angsty, action packed, sexy, and steamy with surprise twists that you won't see coming! The ending will have you saying OMG and shedding a tear or two. Matthias and Gemma are both kickass but they are both broken too. Will they be able to hang on to each other long enough to mend their broken ways and overcome their tragic pasts?

The great thing about this book is that it wasn't predictable. It kept me hanging onto every word. I love that the characters are interconnected in the different books about the men of Blake Security. You go through a lot with these characters but you will be rewarded with an HEA. Hang on for a wild ride ladies! You won't regret it!

I am shocked. I did not see that coming. And I'm pretty sure you won't see it coming either.

How do you write a spoiler-free review when all you want to do is gush over the twists and turns that happened in the book.

I do not know how Malone squared will top this duet. And who in their right mind allowed JJ to have a gun? I mean, are you out of your bloody mind?

This book was number two in the duet Sin and Sinful and there was also Pre-Sin. In Sinful, the action really heats up for Matthias and Gemma and all of Blake Security. They finally get a psychiatrist in to deprogram him and there are such twists and turns and one that truly I never saw coming. This book was Dynamite in a Book. Holy Smoke. Fantastic read. Nana Malone never disappoints her readers. I absolutely ;loved this book and this series and loved Matthias and Gemma's back story. Couldn't turn the pages fast enough!!!

This was a fantastic read that I was happy to see end the way that it did. The first half of Matthias's and Gemma's story left us in a cliff hanger but I was glad to see the questions answered and the pair to get their HEA. This was an action packed read that had a lot of answers for this couple that continue to be hot together! I would recommend this book to others.

We've met the monster. Now we learn the man. Mathias has many sides. Dangerous assassin being his most obvious, but beneath the killer is a great capacity for love. Can the beast be tamed? M squared has created a complicated tale of love lust and betrayal. Sinful is not just a runaway love affair or a renegade bloodfest. It's the creation of a family from Gemma and Mathias to Noah, Oskar, Rafe and all the other band of brothers. Love was the driving force for an epic ride.

It's always a pleasure to read such a book. You'll get hooked to the story that starts right where the first book left off. I'm literally blown away - I did not expect some of the twists the story provides.

Sinful The Sin Duet Book 3
by M. Malone , Nana Malone
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I must give both of these two authors Minx and Nana Malone their due. They are the Dynamic Duo because the books that they write together and separately are the BOMB! They can ROCK YOUR WORLD as TWO or ONE, I absolutely enjoy reading everyone of their books I have read. You can't put any of their books in one certain specific category their books are drama full, intriguing, suspenseful, enemies, secrets, visionary, loving, adventurous, full of humor, has the green eye monster jealousy, passionate and romance. Everyone is so fabulous, the enjoyment of reading their books because they will make you laugh, bring tears to your eyes and hold all of your attention until the end. Oh My I just have to say it again these two ladies are Dynomite! If you are like myself you are totally engrossed in this Sin Duet series. I was so looking forward to reading Mathis story. He is the type of man women can't help but fall for and I was so excited to read his story, I maybe telling my age by saying this but THIS BOOK Is All That And Bag Of Chips with a scrumptious chocolate cake thrown in. I absolutely love reading this book and I feel any book without some type of romance just feels incomplete. I enjoyed reading this story so much it's so unique, I enjoyed the characters feels so real along with their real flaws. You can't help but really enjoy recognizing the humanity in each character and the fact that they’re not the cookie cutter type. This a story is full of landmines, for sure. But I feel that a story should always seem believable and it's especially important in a romance novel. I enjoy the way it feels when the two main characters are able to fallen in love with each with all excitement the authors can generate. This is the last book of Sin Gemma and Mathis story. Of course as in the two previous books Sin is a exciting and captivating book to read. There is still a lot of drama along with the tragic parts that happens, but because both Mathis and Gemma loses their innocence together. It's so exciting knowing they have to save Mathis and Gemma friend Siobhan life. Now they are openly fighting the Father , their responsibilities are staggering. Their decisions directly impact the lives of the people in their family. But what makes this book sad is the surprising twist that Gemma friend Siobhan is waging on two fronts: Mathis fighting his and her enemies. Prejudice, fear, greed are all conspiring against the future Mathis and Gemma wants to bring about. It's so disheartening that the fate of their world is at stake. As usual, there was a lot of action and adventure in this book. Mathis and Gemma plus the rest of the gang undertaking a daring, hazardous mission but this time they are not alone. Using new (experimental) technology, they travel silently through enemy territory, confronting the bad guys, with both Mathis and Gemma committing some expert deceptions (or as he would call it “manipulating the people and computers to get out of tight spots. This trip is so dangerous, that it had my heart in my throat the whole time. In the previous books, the optimist in me always knew they would come out unscathed but as I see how this could changed them both, I’m not so sure anymore. I mean, I’ll know they will ultimately win but I wonder what will be their cost. The events in this book point to a very exciting series finale. There are still lots of unanswered questions from previous books, specially as it relates to the Father's organization. We know that Mathis has grown more powerful and he knows he’s finding his family. The “power of love” and all that, but he still doesn’t know exactly how it works. I get the idea that we will find out in spectacular fashion in the last book of this series. Minx and Nana Malone keeps the excitement coming until the very end plus the story promised and delivered so much more with this book. So if you are looking for a Phenomenal, Magnificent book to Read you may want to make room on your TBR list for more books from the Malone ladies, because as I indicated before you will be HOOKED from the beginning on each one of their books!

This is an amazing conclusion to the series and I was totally intrigued with the way the story developed. There is so much more to Matthias that meets the eye. The reader finally gets an insight into him, and his background, when he finally tells his side of the story to those he considers family. There are also lies and deceit which adds flavour to the overall enjoyment of the story. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this book.

Matthias is gone and in his place is the cold-blooded killer they called The Shadow. Gemma wonders what it is she said that set Matthias off, because this wasn’t her Matthias, the one that only she really knew. But this is Matthias’ family and if anyone can help her get him back it would be them because they cared for him deeply. Matthias knows he has to walk away; he has no idea what happened back at the penthouse other than he had suddenly been filled with rage and attacked his friends. Noah isn’t giving up on Matthias; what happened wasn’t his fault, someone had made him this way, but they had understimated one thing, the power of love. Matthias didn’t let many people in, but the ones he did earned undying loyalty. With Gemma by his side, Matthias could conquer anything; they had both lived with guilt thinking they had caused each other’s death, but in reality they had both surived and grown stronger only to find each other again. Gemma wants to know all about Matthias’ teenage years; the Family had sold him to ORUS as a punishment, but in the end they had created a weapon that could be used against them. Now it is time for Matthias to finish what he started and take the fight to them; together they were going to take down the Family and reclaim their lives, while saving their friend Sabine. Father abducts Gemma; he is counting on Matthias rescuing her, forcing him to come back to where it all began, so he can finally finish it the way he believes it should have been done years go. Gemma had been on a mission for the Family, but it just wasn’t the mission she thought it was. Gemma didn’t make any mistakes, but once again her actions have put Matthias at risk; did Father know all along that she worked for ORUS. But people were rarely ready for the unexpected and Matthias thrives on the unexpected. But may be he isnt supposed to do this alone; may be he can actually lean on his family for once. But what of Sabina; had Gemma risked Matthias’ life for someone whose love was more memory than reality? A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Sinful is the second book in M. Malone and N. Malone's The Sin Duet. You must read Sin first or your going to be lost.

Protecting people is what I do. But with Gemma everything is different. There was a time when she was my everything and I would have give my life to protect her. Now she's back and this time I won't fail her. I'm ready to put it all on the line to keep her safe. My past finally caught up with me and I had to make a choice. Leave or destroy my family. I'll do anything to keep them safe...including walking into enemy territory.

Sinful pick up right where Sin left off and is told from the point of view of both Matthias and Gemma. Not really sure what set him off or what he really did back in the penthouse, Matthias leaves to go hide until he can figure out exactly what is going on and who is telling the truth and who is not. Is Gemma jerking his chain or is she really back and with him. Why did he lose his mind and try to kill people he consider family. Those that have always had his back. These questions will be answered and the answers are surprising and I liked that I was surprised and then I thought wow I've never heard of that in a book before and thought it was very interesting. Time has come too for Gemma to answer to the Family about her mission and suddenly she is gone. Now Matthias wants his woman back and he will go to the ends of the earth to make that happen. I swear you will be on the edge of your seat from that moment until the end of the book. Most of all though your going to love all the time you spend with Gemma and Matthias and the Blake Security guys and gals. I am so glad that we got the mysterious Matthias's story. It was absolutely amazing. I could read a hundred more book about this group of character's. If you have never read the Shameless Series I highly recommend it after you have finished this duet. Or you can read that series first so you know how the other characters came to be where they are if you want. However it is not necessary to read that series first. Just grab this book and enjoy. Fall in love with Matthias right along with me.

Mathias a young man who has lived a whole life in his young years. His childhood was beyond corrupt and his start in life was not great. His mother and he are moved to the compound of the Family. He is a smart child and notices things that are going on around him. This only helps him in knowledge of life. He knows that he has to get away from the Family if he wants a real life. He finds a reason to keep going when Gigi is moved to the compound to repay a debt to the Family for her father. Mathias finds that his purpose to survive is to protect Gigi.

Gigi, Gemma, is a young woman who finds herself back with the Family to get information for ORUS. She has knowledge of the Family and can get close enough to get information for her new boss. Gemma finds herself in a tough place working for both organizations though. She is sent on a mission for the Family only to find that the person that she is to attain for the Family is the very person that she thought was killed years ago and that he is more powerful than she was prepared for.

This book was great! I loved the entire duet and prequel. I loved the twists that were in this story and how things turned out. I loved reading Mathias’ story and learning more about him and his life. He has a lot of secrets that come out in this final book. I think I love him more now. He always kept himself at a distance from everyone, but his new family of Blake Security were really getting through without him even realizing it. When Gemma came along, he thought she was the only one he was letting through his barriers, but little did he know that she was just one person who cared about him and broke through his barriers. He thought the men and women of Blake Security were being kept behind the barrier, but each one actually made their way through before Gemma came back into his life. Mathias finds himself protecting his “family” from the Family, and he will do anything he can to make sure that they are protected from the evil that he knows is coming for him. He is such a strong character and his life was so messed up. Gemma’s story is just as great. I give this story a 5 star review. I loved it and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a brooding alpha male who finds his light in a woman that comes back into his life.
