I am in favor of any book that can help me make some positive changes in life. I have actually lost fifteen pounds using subconscious visualization techniques. I love the idea of visualizing a balloon, a balloon that is filled with all the negativity that I have experienced and letting it go. I have filled my balloon of images of what I used to look like. My balloon also contains all of the comments and junk food that I used to eat. There are several scripts that I have tried that will help me in other areas of my life. There is a script in this book that can help me fall asleep. I like the idea of visualizing of ascending and descending a stair case and going up and down in an elevator to relax, but this does not work for me. I will try to use subconscious visualization techniques to physically relax my body, and then maybe get more exercise, so I can get better sleep.

I also like the practice of identifying negative thought pitfalls. There is one pitfall that I have commonly thought about, and that is called paralysis by analysis. This is when negative thoughts prevent me from making progress in my life. I have a permanent physical disability. My disability makes it difficult for me to form relationships with able bodied people some times. I will try to use the script in this book about how to create success in my life, and I will try to put myself out there a little more to meet people. I love the optimistic tone of this book, which in a nut shell says that I can create positive change in my life.

A lot of filler. The book has scripts to help you in achieving goals i.e. hypnosis scripts, but they're poorly written. I say that because some of the symbols in the scripts don't seem to have any significance or purpose. The scripts don't go anywhere. I was disappointed with this book.

But I do give it 2 stars for giving me a general outline for how to hypnotize myself, which I had to derive by reading between the lines: relax myself in a meditative state (easy to do), use a symbol to represent the issue I'm dealing with, then feel a good emotion and associate that emotion with a result you want.

This book has some good underlying concepts. As a seasoned mental health professional and yoga teacher I’m a huge proponent of mind-body healing techniques - but these are WAY to wordy. I can’t imagine someone with no experience in this area being able to follow these scripts. And while the free downloads are nice - the author speaks entirely too much. I found myself feeling anxious just listening to him. Too much speaking and not a soothing tone either - almost a little creepy for me. I think there’s more user-friendly material out there…

At first reading I thought"Good book. At times I felt left behind a bit. And at times I wondered how conscious insects and plants really are of their life. Very complicated topic, really."
On second thoughts having read the same book almost through for a second time the narrator's voice annoyed me terribly. I also found the way this book is written "too American" for me. It's all about "Look this is a 'revolutionary new brand new technique'. Look at this, it's brand new and I am the only one who put this together, blah blah blah." My brain can't take that. Don't you American's realize how off-putting this is to people from other countries? Especially when it is just not true. Essentially what this man reports as being his "NEW idea" is EMDR therapy with slight additions of expensive equipment and the idea that you can just re-write history in your own mind and get rid of any negative emotional connection to your past by making the past adhere to your ideas of how it really was. I am now actually quite angry about this book and have withdrawn 2 stars. It felt like plagiarism in the end. Sorry. My opinion.

Book is a fast read and has substantial information on hypnosis and studies to prove its efficacy. In the second part of the each chapter, he includes a script to help target a problem (e.g. less stress and fear) which can also be downloaded. While the first part is necessary to read, you can skip to chapters that pertain to you. I read one of the scripts and I was able to access information from my subconscious because I (1) have experience accessing the subconscious / altered states of consciousness, (2) have been meditating for four years and (3) know how to ground myself when accessing information. I enjoyed and will implement this a few times a week to enhance my self-care.

This is a fascinating book on how to change ourselves. I myself have tried to make conscious changes to my life. But have discovered that some beliefs are very entrenched. So this book about going into your subconscious, and making deeper change. There are audio tracks to listen to and I will be listening to them regularly. The book is well written and explains the science behind the audio tracks. I will definitely be using the techniques in this book.

A good Psychology book to add to my collection, I appreciated the focus on the Subconscious and the way the psychologist overlapped several methods/modalities over each other, EEG/AVE, Hypnosis and Meditation/Mindfulness are a good, powerful combination for unlocking inner potential and unlocking emotional blocks.

This could possibly be a great book if the author knew how to get prople in the theta state. But he has not clue. The audio files are ridiculous. His voice is fast and excited. He didn't stop talking to give a chance to experience what he was talking about. I had to stop the audio because I felt so stressed. I am very dissappointed. I kept thinking WTF shut up.

MINDBLOWN. I've done a lot of work re: thought patterns, beliefs, rewiring the brain, etc. but learning about SVT & the subconscious is a game changer! If you're into mindset and LOA but are looking for something a bit more science-y, this is for you.

This book was very helpful to me in finding ways to calm my mind and access my subconscious. I have been doing his meditations (free with a code in the book) everyday and sleeping better and noticing changes after just a few weeks.
