Books and reading have always been a major part of her life, but theater and performing arts called to her in high school and she later became one of the founders of a community theatre. She's come to the conclusion that reading, writing and acting are nothing more than ways to become someone else…at least in her own mind.
Roxann has lived on a farm, in a small town and has returned with her four daughters and grandchildren to live in the city where she was born. Books and reading are an integral part of not only her life, but her family's as well. Her oldest granddaughter is named Scarlett (yes, of Gone with the Wind fame).

Just your typical Harlequin romance.

Dusty came back to Desporation from the rodeo circuit because of any injury. While at home, he got a job on a nearby farm as a ranch hand. He ran into Kate who owned the farm and wanted to pursue her. Was she willing? Pretty hard to tell by the way she acted. A relaxing read...

I felt absolutely nothing for these characters. I never could even understand them or their motivations. I kept feeling like every action didn't make sense. and the guy was an ass, bossing her around and physically manhandling her.
