On 'one given Sunday', a young Tasmanian pledged himself to a Samuel Clear would walk around the world-yes, the world-in an effort to urge and inspire all Christians to unite. That they may all be one. He didn't think it would be easy ... but he had no idea how hard it was going to be. Between the snakes and pumas and scorpions and wild dogs, between the gun-toting maniacs and knife-wielding thieves and racist homicidal drivers, between the thirst and pain and electric shocks and hospitalisations, between terrorist interrogations and KGB shakedowns ... Sam finds the beauty and the love and the generosity of spirit in the ordinary people of the world-and discovers that unity means much more than just a name on a parish sign post. Lace up your boots. Walk with Sam.

I am not a fan of non fiction, but after having Sam give a talk at my school I felt compelled to give this book a read. What this man did is amazing, but I feel it should have been a documentary. Like I sad, me and non fiction don't gel, maybe the book is amazing, maybe it isn't. I don't know.

Interesting story of exploring humanity in its many expressions. Only surpassed by hearing the stories directly from a talented speaker such as Sam.

This man has truly inspired me as a person to look at what I take for granted and what a beautiful country I live in.
