*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Book three in the totally awesome Chess Chronicles and things are really getting good now. They are all trying to regroup after the events of the last two books. Chess is training and the others are doing what needs to be done. The problem is that her magic is going wonky for some reason and a new mate is involved. It was fun to the evolution of this group as time went on with lots of funny parts as well as steamy bits mixed in between danger, drama, and action. Chess is finally starting to come into her own though I imagine this ending will throw a little kink in this progress for the next installment. If you enjoy a well written funny, steamy, captivating book then you should really try this book/series (I highly recommend reading the first two before this one to get the full effect). I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Keep up the awesome Riley Walker duo!!! King picks up after Rook and this book definitely slows down the pace a little. The beginning was a slow read for me, but I'm so hooked on these characters and story line that it didn't bother me. There can't be action all the time. Armand is still on the loose and causing havoc amongst the dark and light fae. Francesca and her men grow closer and let me just say some hot scenes might happen! This book was more about the detail and almost like a building to the next book. We learn a very *gasp* worthy secret and let me tell you it is good! Francesca gains another fated... hmm but who? King Winston, or Whinny shined in this book, after all it is his book. We learn his past and why he acts the way he does, but he really shows his heart in this one and it was truly amazing. Before you just loved to hate him, but now you just can't stop loving him. Queen is next and I can't wait for more action and sexy times especially with this new fated ;) it should be good!! Oh and Hawkeye is also turning some heads in this book... I'm hoping him and a certain penguin shifter might get together...

It was good i practically binged this series throughout my shift (no one can't stop me!)
Holy wow. So throughout the whole thing, it has been thrilling to know when and how will the enemies strike. The guys have been back and forth, playing the offense in fear of the Franchesca incident happening again.
Aside all these political issues, there's the glaring and looming incomplete mating issue. I am def wondering and very interested to know why the bond to a particular hero didn't settle immediately.
I was also giddy at that twist. Yes, the dark fey kingdom's queen and her secret.
I was kind of bummed out though that the princess kept delaying Winston's advances and attempts to get close to her. But yeah, I did understand her side.
So far, I did like the read. A little anticlimactic regarding the resolution part of the plot.
PS The authors did a thing, actually two things to be exact. They have been bad so I am putting them in the corner where they can reflect the heartbreak they put me through. Lmao. Just kidding. Kind of.

Why Isn’t More Stars Available? Because This Book Deserves So Many More Than Five!!!
I definitely don’t have the right words to describe King because I am in shock or is it sensory overload I don’t really know. Heck I feel like I just took a running leap off a side of a cliff from all the emotions that I went through while reading this book!
So all I’m going to say is OMG this story was amazing, yes it was brutal and heartbreaking in some places in the story but oh so amazing!
Each book that I read by Riley Walker just gets better and better. I definitely can not wait until Queen is written because I have to know what happens next to Frannie and her men.
So yes I do recommend this book but if you haven’t read Knight or Rook I highly suggest that you do so you don’t get confused as to who’s who. And then strap yourself down and enjoy the exciting whirlwind of a roller coaster ride as you read each book! Because each book is positively amazing!

That ending though... I cannot wait for the next installment...
So this book picks up where the last left off - battle scene. I was really worried in Rook about the outcome, but I enjoyed how this played out.
And Winnie... dear, sweet, asshat Winnie... I love you more than I did in Knight and I'mma need you to get your shit together for book 4, mkay sugarplum? Cuz ever since you told Shelby you had plenty of hair on your chest, I'mma need to have you get nekkied.
Eddie and Rookie are still sweet as ever, and hot as hell. I cannot stress how much excites I have for there to be a third, or more, added to the sexy bunch.
PROS:
- Winnie, all the Winnie's
- Action packed
- Mmmm sexy times
CONS:
- Not really a con per say, but this is a series that I would want to read non stop
- Cliffhanger warning

This series is phenomenal, and I love to see how it continues to grow and develop.
This book picked up right where the previous one left off seamlessly.
In addition to all the action and intrigue, there is a compelling theme of love and relationship. Riley Walker has done a marvoulous job of finding the balance between action and love.
I was so happy to finally hear more from Winnie. From the beginning, I was wanting to know why he was the way that he was, and this book delves deep into that. And while I feel like I understand him better, I am definitely looking forward to watching him and grow and mature throughout the series.
This is a fantastic RH series, and I strongly recommend it. I for one will be anxiously awaiting the next installment.

Gets you in the feels
So, what to say. I love Francesca and her choice in music. I liked her character development throughout the book, too. I adore, Knight! And, at first, loathed another male character. No names and spoilers. However, having the males POV, definitely went a long way in understanding him. And I enjoyed the other characters introduced and look forward to more about them in future books. This story made me laugh, made me angry at times. ( the guy I mentioned before), and just overall made me feel. I love it when I find a connection with the characters because it means the authors have been successful. It’s a gift to be able to take a fictional character and make a reader fall in love with them. Well done.

Very Enjoyable!
Riley Walker does it again! Although King takes a bit of a slower approach starting out, focusing more on the characters and their relationships with each other, that doesn't distract from the progressing story line. Chess is struggling with her magic and doesn't understand why. Armand is still 'on the lam' and everyone is searching desperately to find him. This book tugged at my heart strings in more than one place (both sad and happy). The last quarter of the book is more where the action happens. Of course there is a cliffhanger at the end but it just makes me eager to read the next book. I cannot wait!!

OMG!!! This book is an emotional rollercoaster. Spoiler Alert......
Shelby and her snort-a-shift make me laugh every time The love that is growing with Frannie, Edrik and Rook is exciting. The slow burn between Winston and Frannie is awesome but frustrating. Kiss Already!! :) So did not see the two characters being lost!! So sad to lose them. Love how this book is definitely a set up for more to come. Can't wait to read what happens next. This series is an absolute MUST read. Just LOVE it!!!

Wow!!! What an amazing book. I loved every part of this book. Lots of emotions in this book. Shelby and her snort a shift is hilarious. Franchesca has two fated mates already and her powers are on the fritz. Winston is trying to figure out where he will fit in her life because she will be his queen but is unsure how to handle her fated mates, and there may be more. He will do anything to prove what she means to him. With her uncle trying still trying to kill her she feels more out of sorts then ever. And don't get me started on the ending!! I absolutely can't wait for the next book.

I think they get a severe amount of joy by putting their readers in turmoil.
I am so sad that this series is drawing to the end.

Oh Man! This was awesome! Picked up right where Rook left off. I love how you get to read about Frannie's fated relationships getting stronger. I love Shelby and her snot-a-shifts, that is hilarious. You might want some tissues with this one though. This book has an emotional rainbow throughout, everything from anger, confusion, sadness, joy, humor, love and happiness. I absolutely can not wait to see what happens next in Queen!

This series keeps you on the edge all the way through. When Chess finds out that Winston wasn't as bad she thought, and he chooses to stay by her to keep her safe, she starts to warm up to him. I was getting a bit frustrated with Shelby. As much as I love penguins, the girl would not let Chess and Winston have a minute alone. Keeping the suspense to the very last paragraph, this book will entertain you like no other. Alternating POV.

Book three in the series and the story is just getting more and more exciting. It is beautifully written and flows at a great pace. I am very emotionally invested in the characters, you cannot help but be completely drawn in.
there is a real eye for detail but without being overwhelming, it has everything you need in a great book, excitement, danger, romance, emotion and humour. I am absolutely loving this series and cannot wait for the next book in the series

Get this book!
I honestly think that this series should just keep going on for at least twenty books. King is deep and serious. Stuff happens that I didn't expect. Thank goodness for a strong female main character! This story has some answers that we've been needing but the puzzle isn't complete yet. If you need a good RH to enjoy this is your series!

So exciting!
It’s a wonder if anyone survives Armand’s onslaughts! During this book, many of our main characters are off working on the Armando situation. I love seeing Winston becoming closer to Franchesca, but she can really hold a grudge for a long time! Secrets come to light, alliances are exposed, there’s an awesome ending...but there is still more to come. I can’t wait!

Arrgghh another cliff hanger-like ending, but definitely the good kind that makes you wanna read the next one. I’m sad at certain events in this book (mainly ppl dying) but also love the trajectory of franchesca and her fated mates. Also love that Shelby is beginning to find herself!!!!

The third book in the series did not disappoint. I love the story line and the characters. They both get more complex as the books progress. Of course the cliffhanger at the end has me on the edge of my seat waiting for book #4!!!!

OMG!
Finally book 3 is out and it is nothing like I pictured the story to go. So many plot twists! It keeps you guessing until the end. Such a well developed book with amazing characters. It grabs your attention and keeps it.

I am obsessed with this series!!!! Each book continues to get better and better. Which is a feat in itself because each book on their own is amazing. The development of every element, storyline, character growth, world building its all here.

I LOVE this series! I am seriously getting nervous because I know its getting close to the end! I love chess and all her men and their complex relationships and I love watching them all slowly figure out how they fit together. I am super excited to read book 4!

Reallllly good
I like this series a lot I hope they finish it. Told from multiple POV. The femaleMC is strong and her 3 mates are great. It’s a good take on fae and shifters.
