I did have a pretty good time reading this book. Truth be told I only picked it up because I needed a quick nonfiction book to end off the year, but I was pleasantly surprised. Though geared towards a bit of a younger audience, the book of how to's definitely taught me some interesting things. The book was filled with funny and interesting tips. Despite the intentions of the lessons in each section, the main attribute that I got out of the book was ideas. Each topic caused the creation of some idea for something to write about, to do with friends this summer, or even to make. Besides the intended thirteen year old girl, I would recommend to anyone looking for a creative spark.
The Girls' Book of Excellence:Even more ways to be the best at everything by Sally Norton is such a awesome book.It shows how to clean your room in fifteen minutes and how to grow an apple tree from a seed.It shows you many different things and crafts. The non fiction book was fun to read which helped me finish the book in only a few days. The diys were included in the book were cool.So if you are looking for a right now reading book this great for you.I loved reading the book because there was so much fun things to do.I gave this book a five star rating for the wonderful information it gave on even more ways to be the best at everything.
This book is the worst book ever. It is directed toward selfish girls. The boys book of excellence is a great read but the girls book is horrible. It has ideas such as how to be the best cheerleader and how to PRETEND you can surf. The book acts like girls can not surf. Dont even bother to read this book.
The book the girls book of excellence by Scholastic Reading company was a good book for finding out tips. There are some pretty handy tips and techniques that come in this book, like stress relief as well as many others. Also included are some activities to do with friends or at a party. I would probably recommend for girls under the age of 11 or 12.
It is a great book. It gave me a lot of insight on things and lots of good ideas for sleepovers or parties even. I still look back to a certain page in it when i need to really clean my room. One if the things in this book was a guide on how to clean your room in 15 minutes. That saved my life.
Survive a charging elephant. Be a synchronized swimmer. Catch a spider.Interpret dreams. Grow an apple tree from a seed. Be the best cheerleader... and much more! Fun way to learn things!
It’s a cute idea, but I feel like the only realistic things were the recipes. Some of the suggestions sounded like this for sure was written way before the 2000s.
