This is a “3p” as it’s called in BL spaces, or a MMM romance.
Asahi is homeless after his boy band breaks up, but thankfully Akiomi (someone who retired from the idol business) takes him in. However, there’s Akiomi’s roommate Hayato — and here you get your trio. Akiomi and Hayato have slept together and have a sort of “FWB” relationship, but both like to dote on Asahi.
However, while I read dark romances, there was just something so sad and fucked up by Akiomi being the one who pulled all these strings to force Asahi out of work so he could step in to be the knight in shining armor and bring him into this threesome. Super manipulative.
The general relationship is thus: Asahi and Akiomi are in a committed romantic (monogamous) relationship, but sexually Hayato is involved with them both.
It was fine? The art was cute. I didn’t really feel much for the romance though and wish there was an actual discussion of Hayato’s role in their relationship triad even if it wasn’t a romantic one.
oh wow this was bad bad. I think the only redeeming factor was the cute art, but like what a mess of a story. It also barely had any sex in it which is surprising. Like I don't care either way about the sex or lack of it, but considering how bad the writing is usually stories like this try to make up for it with an excessive amount of sex. This presents as a threesome or love triangle romance too and there's really none of that it's so odd.
This is about Asahi, an idol whose company goes bankrupt, so he's out on the streets trying to find new work. Then he runs into an actor he worked with once, Akiomi, and that guy offers to take him in. The third guy, Hayato, is the roommate who I guess has a sexual relationship with both of them? Like Akiomi invites Asahi to live with him, but gives him Hayato's room to stay in. So Hayato comes home drunk and starts making a move on Asahi. The only threesome aspect of this is that Akiomi and Hayato have had sex before and that Akiomi likes to watch Asahi and Hayato? But the relationship is purely between Akiomi and Asahi.
I can't even fully voice my issues about this, but it was just confusing, messy, poorly paced and weird. There's a lot of non-consensual/dubious consent sex. The relationship building is poor and their relationship is just bad in general. Like Akiomi purposefully bankrupted Asahi's company so that he could swoop in and take him in and Asahi finds out and is so chill about it LOL. All of this was a fever dream tbh.
