'Rawbone has richly descriptive prose that almost matches Stephen King himself.' (A Flame In The Dark.net) Mark is haunted by one memory; that as he was held at gun point all those years ago, an innocent child was lost forever. It is only when he learns to accept that there is more than he can possibly know that he can confront his demons and make peace with his past. Yet even as he reaches out for redemption, that same child is planning to plunge Mark's home village into vengeful chaos. Can Mark escape from 'The Bunker'? Dare he step into the light?
I don't quite know what to make of this book. I've been wavering between whether I don't like it, but it's well-written, or whether I do like it, because it seems an accurate representation of the dark side of human nature.
There are various grammar and punctuation mistakes, as well as missing words, in the book. Even so, I was able to read the book and it's given me a lot to think about. So I guess in that respect, it's done its job.
