When it comes to romantic suspense, action adventure, contemporary, and paranormal fiction and romance, Natalie Dunbar savors a front row seat behind the open book or the job manning the creative pen or keyboard. Writing fiction has been a lifetime adventure and treasured escape that resulted in her first book, Best of Friends, being published by Genesis Press in March 2000. Natalie soon followed that up with three more books for Genesis Press, a novella in an anthology for Bet Books, a novella in an anthology with Parker Publishing, and books for Silhouette Bombshell. Read her latest novella in the Kimani Arabesque anthology, Can I Get An Amen Again. In June 2007, her romantic suspense novel, A Serial Affair, will be available from Silhouette Romantic Suspense.

'FALLING' is a love story in which the couple has to fight their way into each other's hearts. DeAndra Blake was very much in love with the Honorable Judge Damon Kessler however her love was not reciprocated. After attending the wedding of Imani, the love of Damon's life, DeAndra realizes that Damon would never love her with the same intensity. Although she had been in love with Damon since she was fifteen years old, she knew falling out of love would not be easy. So, she began her life over in a different city hoping to get over her love for Damon. When our hero and heroine end up in the same city two years after their emotional parting, old and new feelings for one another start to surface. Damon finds himself in Chicago because of a mystery stalker, and he literally comes to the aid of DeAndra. Their need for each other brings the couple together for more than safety, but will they actually fall in love again? 'FALLING' is the first novel I've read by Natalie Dunbar. It is a little slow and way too short. Because it is so short I didn't get to 'bond' with the characters. The plot although somewhat believable, it is quite predictable, perhaps because it is so predictable the story came off a little dull. The relationship between Damon and DeAndra is bittersweet. It had some steamy love scenes, some mystery and suspense, and it had the potential to be a great romance, but it just fell short between the pages.
Damon Kessler had an extremely difficult time getting over Imani Celeste, especially when she married someone else. He was on the rebound with DeAndra Blake and used her to his advantage. Finally, when she had enough she moved from Detroit to Chicago, but could never forget Damon. When someone was stalking him, Damon moved to Chicago, and ran into DeAndra after she had been shot at. As the plot thickened the two protagonists rekindled their passion while trying to avoid danger.
