Corsi has discussed topics that are considered conspiracy theories, such as the alleged plans for a North American Government, the theory that President Barack Obama is not an American citizen.

What I liked about this book:

He didn't place the blame for the economic recession of 2009, which we are still feeling in 2017. He blamed ALL of the political actors. He mostly spoke on President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush, and President Barack H. Obama and their policies that created the recession and made it to where the U.S. is going away from a sovereign nation to a global nation.

What I disliked about this book:

He made it seem that if you are a true patriot, you will listen to him and follow what he says. I don't like it when people try to make patriotism in his or her own right. I am a patriot because I love my country, not because I am against foreigners coming in or want to overthrow the government because it is not living up to my image. He presented some "solutions" that I liked, such as, preparing for a second or third career. But a great deal of his suggestions, such as, extended families living in one house, sounds too much like moving backwards to me. My experience is that too many adults living in one house makes a big mess, especially when egos are at play. We are not third world people that marry and move to our husbands' family's house and everyone lives together.

Also, he made a statement about the French protest and how they wanted more pension. What he failed to mention is that they were also willing to pay more taxes in order to retain those benefits, health care and college tuition included. He talked about cutting taxes for corporations, but from what I have read, corporations have found loopholes in the tax code allowing them to pay less than their fair share. He also talked about cutting social welfare programs, but didn't mention cutting subsidies to corporations.

What I learned from this book:

There is a quiet push to put us in an Union similar to that of the European Union. It would include all of the Americas if I am not mistaken.

Also, although I already knew this, he mentioned the importance of owing your personal residency. I give you one better, own your own land. For the life of me I can't understand why we as Americans don't understand the importance of land ownership.

I also learned that undocumented persons are not subject to U.S. laws. Yeah, I thought that was crazy too, but he talked about a gang member that raped and murdered two U.S. women and his embassy tried to stop the trial. Apparently President Bush tried to get the trial stopped as well.

Things are changing and although Corsi tries to give us solutions to push back the tide of globalism, I think it may be too late. We are use to cheap items. Materialism has grown our nation. People make talk about giving it up, but it is just talk.

This is an eye-opener in how our Country's souvernity is quietly being sold--the loss of our own currency. It also has a section on how middle-class families can survive and how we as citizens can get our country back.

This was an excellent book. Though it was written in 2009, the author did a great job of explaining a few concepts that I had not previously focused on. I would really like to see what the author would have to say about the economy in 2019 and the progress made by the USA since this book was written.

He did an excellent job of explaining what globalists from the right and the left want to achieve, and why neither is right for the United States. We need to protect our sovereignty as that is what makes us exceptional. Somehow, the economy can and should be a global concept, but I reject that in order for the economy to work globally, that borders and sovereignty must be sacrificed. Nope, I’m not buying it. I see the globalists as using this as an excuse to achieve a one world government, and that’s just blasphemy.

Excellent explanation of the complicated lead up to housing bubble and the movement to globalization. Corsi looks back into recent history and sites both Republican and Democrat policies that have undercut American sovereignty. Listened to this on audio and was still able to follow along. Recommend reading.

Really not a good audio book. The author has a lot of important points to make which are rather alarming. However, he is a horrible reader and someone should have told him not to record it himself!!

Good, non-partisan look at how both parties have mortgaged out future in the name of globalism. It's depressing from the standpoint that people are lining up to vote Obama a second term when he's done everything Bush has done, and worse, to encourage a loss of American sovreignty.

An exploration into how the United States is becoming intertwined economically with the rest of the world and how trade agreements are pulling her into what is rapidly becoming a world government with the loss of national identity. It is a thoughtful political read.
