Clearly, Rhodes' opening sets the stage for an action packed, exciting adventure, with Niki and Kayla partnering up to take on an very near untouchable opponent, Harlequin. This seems reason enough to encourage readers to fall into the story. Also, Kayla's relationship with Mutt, a werewolf, is filled with humour, flirtation and conflict, a combination that will have you turning pages.

There are some excellent action sequences, that are not only fast-paced, but also contain a certain level of fear and terror. One such incident is when Kayla goes to meet Niki at the Circus of Sins night club, where there is so much to see. This is followed by his taking her to see Doll perform in Harlequin's Circus, a terrifying spectacle.

Circus of Sins is, for the most part, a very enjoyable novel, as it contains many of the themes required to make a great book. However, there are also various problems with the story. The first being that even the less discernable critics out there will find that is it riddled with typos. One shows up at least every thirty or forty pages. This can become irritating and makes the novel appear as though the publishers didn't even bother to proof read the draft.

The second problem with this novel is that the ending seems to go on forever. There is no single final battle between Kayla and her enemies, but instead there seem to be about a dozen. After the first hundred pages of her battle with Harlequin the story begins to drag, and the reader will find themselves wishing Rhodes would just bring the action to a close.

Having said that, when Rhode's does finally bring her story to an end, readers will perhaps be left wanting another Kayla Steel book as Circus of Sins does finish on quite a nail biting cliffhanger. So, if you enjoy long-winded, never-ending action sequences, then this just might be the book for you. Although it has to be said that Kayla is quite a likeable character, which should not be overlooked, and this is probably the most rewarding aspect of the novel.

I don’t believe I’m saying this but the third book of Kayla Steele series is my favorite! “Circus of Sins” by Natasha Rhodes is the most dark and adventurous book from the series. We have the same characters (of course with a few new ones) and the plot is more interesting because we have a soon-to-be Armageddon.
I like Kayla, because she deals pretty good with all the bad situations in her life. Before she was an employee, trying to pay her bills and in love with the man of her dreams. And then, in a month, she had to deal with the death of her lover and the existence of all the supernatural myths! My opinion is that she is a winner in her life, because she doesn’t quit! She wants to take revenge for the murder of her lover but she isn’t stupid or cruel and she takes many things under consideration. There are times that she reacts impulsive but not in an unforgivable way.
Another reason that I like the series is that the author doesn’t present things in a black-white way. Humans, werewolves, vampires and angels are neither good or bad by nature. They’re good or bad by actions. A great read and I totally recommend this series!

I loved this book first and second time of reading it. And there was supposed to be one more Kayla Steele book soon after this but still nothing even years after! Why is that?

It was a good wrap up to the trilogy, but I felt it left a lot of questions as to how Kayla fits back into the world she has saved. I wish there were more books about this world Natasha has created.

Circus of Sins is the third novel in the Kayla Steele trilogy. Constant silliness and humor accompany an end-of-the-world scenario in this urban fantasy parody of sorts. While the author does have moments of brilliance, some scenes are so drawn out I wanted to scream. There are several loose ends and the epilogue is just plain weird. Nevertheless I did enjoy it for what it was, akin to those horror flicks which never take themselves seriously.

This was overall a great book. Some parts were a tad bit slow but it's a wonderful book. I highly recommend it.

I returned it without reading it. Wasn't in the mood for an end of times setting. I was pretty burnt out on that.
