Myc has been writing professionally since 2005, solo and with Shayne Carmichael. Genres include pretty much anything (no steampunk yet), though Myc is well known for paranormal stories. When not writing, Myc is usually playing PC games, reading, editing, watching movies and shows on Netflix and Amazon, or spending way too much time on Facebook.

In “A Perfect Match” by Cassidy Ryan, Keaghan is letting his brother-in-law’s younger brother stay in his guest house. Four years after leaving a shy and awkward dork, Trace has returned a total hunk who is both confident and self-assured. Despite their ten year age difference, Keaghan can’t help but be drawn by the man he is convinced is off limits due to their familial connection. From the very beginning, this story is filled with attraction and flirting between the men. There is an intensely erotic dance and first kiss that is steaming it is so hot. Thanks to the secondary characters of Keaghan’s sister Chloe and his assistant Jill, there is also quite a bit of humor. This is a fun and passionate fast-paced story that is wonderfully enjoyable from beginning to end!
“Breaking Point” by Dakota Flint finds Alex Walsh and Jonathon Burns next door neighbors again after each man has moved back into his childhood home. Due to a three and a half year age difference, the men were not necessarily friends, until the summer after Jonathon graduated from high school. That summer Alex finally noticed Jonathan and they quickly became lovers. The majority of the story is spent reflecting back on their short-lived relationship and we learn the reason for Jonathon’s current attitude toward Alex. Jonathan is determined not to be sucked in again by his first love and first heartbreak. The absolutely brilliant point of this story comes when the point of view switches to Alex, providing a perfect companion to Jonathan’s feelings and experience. This is a powerful story filled with intense and raw emotions, a story of first love and second chances that leaves an opening for the future.
“Peep Show” by Zoe Nichols involves the unique pairing of new neighbors Seth Richards and Dillon Callaway. Seth is in his thirties and can’t help but be mesmerized by the twenty something Dillon who lives across the street. One night, Seth is in his bedroom and realizes that he has a perfectly unobstructed view into Dillon’s bedroom. What transpires is a sexy play on phone sex, with extremely satisfying results. This story is both flirty and intense and the sex is steaming hot. Watching Seth take control of his attraction is fun and exciting, making this a seriously erotic story that pleases on so many levels. Only Nichols could deliver a story that is so filled with passionate emotions even though the men never touch, making for an extremely satisfying read!
Each of these stories plays on the “boys next door” theme in a unique and equally captivating and enjoyable way. They are all packed with passion and emotion making for an extremely enjoyable collection featuring three fantastic authors that I highly recommend!
The story is the same with these taste tests, they are unsatisfactory. I am not sure what it is but at the end I am flipping looking for the next chapter. There is no closure to most of the stories.
These stories also didn't really develop the characters. I love me some gay romance but I feel unsated and a little used and abused (not in the good way) after these.
