Children's picture book.

Spongebob and Patrick become detectives when Sandy disappears. They end up following the clues in Sherlock Holmes inspired garb. They "comb" the area... with a giant comb. They talk to Larry, Squidward, and the Flying Dutchman. Extra points because they get on the ghost ship. Sandy shows up at the bus stop... she was visiting Texas.

Art consistent with television program. Good layout. Text and images well integrated.

Another typical spongebob, this one not labeled, but I'd put it at a level 3 reading book. My 5 yr old stumbled over a few words on each page, but they were long ones. An okay story, not one of our favorites, yet, enjoyable enough to keep him interested.

This book involves solving a mystery. Spongebob and Patrick don't know where Sandy went. There are clues in the book to find Sandy. Children can relate to this book if they've ever lost something or someone and tried to find them.

Once again, there are no complaints. The writing feels like a real episode, though I don't think it is one. Very enjoyable.

A simple children’s book about the mystery of Sandy’s disappearance, which turns out to be something else from what they had predicted after all.

Jester's thoughts.
Sandy has been squirrelnapped, and it's up to SpongeBob DetectivePants and his faithful assistant, Patrick… uh… PatrickPants! to solve the mystery!

I had promised myself I wouldn't bother with these goofy picture books, especially when they allude to nothing or have no allegory, but here I am. In my defense, I've seen all the SpongeBob seasons, specials, and movies, and have a small SpongeBob collection. If you're a fan, you'll likely enjoy this picture book. It's exactly the tomfoolery found in the cartoon.
