This book has a fair amount of interesting information but the structure of the story (following a weak storyline through Florence) is a bit lacking. And if a particular piece of artwork mentioned in the story piques your interest, you need to grab another book to learn more. Sold in every museum gift shop. Interesting enough for my nine year-old, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Questo libro ho comprato al Bargello durante gli ultimi giorni del mio anno in Firenze. Stavo per comprarlo in inglese, ma la mia amica me ha detto che dovevo comprarlo in italiano, e sono molto felice che l'ho comprato il libro italiano, perché leggendolo in italiano mi fa sentire com'era a camminare le strade di Firenze e visitare i suoi musei. Mi è piaciuto tantissimo come il libro era scritto con i personaggi, perché questo aggiungeva molto più carattere alla storia, ed era molto più interessante come una guida turistica. Il libro lo stesso è fantastico - l'ho comprato perché era pieno di illustrazioni e immagini, ma non aspettavo che sarebbe pieno di fatti e storie anche! Ho imparato delle cose nuove, e pensavo che già sapevo tante cose dei musei di Firenze... Anche ero molto felice di vedere che il Museo Stibbert era incluso nel libro - ho fatto un po' di lavoro lì e mi manca lo Stibbert tanto! Questo libro è un buon modo di commemorare il mio anno all'estero.
