What can I say .. THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING! Out of every “erotica “ book I have read I’ve never connected more to the story from when I was reading this book . It’s got passion,drama,love everything this book has made it to my top 10 list . I loved it so much and I think everyone should read it ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The scars of Love
This is a story of finding love after suffering a horrible tragedy, and then throw a very difficult situation into the mix and there's more than one love to fight for. And fighting for love, especially unconditional love, is always an intriguing tale.
This book doesn't waste any time and gets to every point quickly. It's a good book and story, but I personally would have liked it to be longer. I found myself wanting more, more of everything. But it's still a good story to escape with!

Being a man I usually don't read pornographic novels for women. Every now and then however, it good to mix things up and this book was great. It had good mix of plot and steamy sex scenes and the characters and scenarios seemed realistic and well though out compared to the majority of the competitors in the genre.

Wowza...does that describe this book well enough?! I am a closet erotica reader, not my first pick of genres, however, I just have to keep a sexy title tucked away in my nightstand to read when the mood hits me. I picked up this one after the holidays and was hoping it would be an escape...and I completely underestimated the book! With an intriguing, real-life type plot, this tale of true love, loss and triumph over adversity (and the kick-butt strength of a fierce woman) is intertwined with sexual tension from page ONE. From there, you find yourself breathless, waiting for the two main characters to come together again and again. The author adds these small nuances and details that immediately allow you to picture the scene and FEEL the heat between the new neighbors...something many writers fall short of. At the same time, I couldn't help but want to mother Spencer, but in the mama bear, disciplinary sort of way. I mean, yes, he's hurt, but come on kid?! I don't want to give the storyline away so I will finish with this.....a well written story that reads like you are sitting on the couch with a glass of wine and your best friend, dishing about HER sexy story! I love this author's style and am hungry for more realistic, well-told and steamy tales. Pick this one up today and read it!

'The Author' covers an extremely delicate subject and does it well. Spenser, Sammy's 16 year-old son, becomes abusive and violent to his mother after his father dies. Sammy is at her wits end and keeps moving hoping the next location will be the answer. She does everything for her son and even gives him a car.
The story is a romance. The guy next door keeps working on a car in his driveway with very loud music blaring away. Sammy can't concentrate on writing and confronts him, For the first time since her husband died, she is attracted to a man. Mike soon becomes a fixture. The sex is hot. The confrontations between Mike and Spenser are well written and believable. Don't want to give the story away, but the ending is happy-for-now.
Almost forgot, throw in some female competition from the lady across the road, and you have all the hallmarks of a good romance story.
Be warned, the topic of parent abuse is a sensitive one.

This book is amazing. I feel for Sammy, to have to give up so much and to have lost her husband her anchor. Then all the shit that gets handed to her by her 16-year-old son because he needs to blame someone and who is there..his mom.
I wanted to bitch slap him and shake him.."Listen kid, life isn't fair but we move on." is what I wanted to yell at him. Then I wanted to hug Sammy. Oh, but she found a shoulder to lean on and more.
It has the heart, depth and some steamy pantie melting erotic sex.. woo dawgy..

This is an interesting book because it has the lightness, fun and excitement of erotica mixed with a very serious and heavy story of parental abuse. Sammy and Mike are next door neighbors who fall hard for each other and have a never ending sexual appetite while at the same time Sammy is being physically and emotionally abused by her teenage son. Most erotica's don't have much of a story or at least not a heavy story intertwined with it so this is unique because of that. But the juxaposition works. A great read.

ARC Review- This was my first book in this genre by AL Norton. As usual she doesn't disappoint. I loved this book. It is well written, sexy in a slow burn kinda way, and you root for the main character. It has loss, and evokes emotion. You feel for her and want her to feel again. AL Norton is truly an amazing writer who can tackle any genre! 5 stars all the way! I can't wait to read more. I highly recommend this book it is a must read!

First off, not my normal cup of tea. I'm reading it for a friend...not buying it? Okay. Having read other Norton books, My nightmare in Georgia and Grandpa, I didn't know what I was getting in to with The Author. Norton surprises and delivers another powerful story. It's not just about the erotica, but also about a single mom in an emotionally destructive relationship with her teenager and no idea how to fix it. Highly recommend.

Wonderfully written, could picture vividly every scene and every emotion felt by each character. Easy to get lost in and not be mad about it either. Don’t miss out on this plot driven sexapade!!

This was a great read! Great storyline, loved the characters, and the sex scenes were quite hot and steamy! Was a page turner and held my attention. Just wished it were longer!
