After reopening the long-lost city of her birthright, Grace Helden is gradually rediscovering herself within the walls of Anaeris. She is happy and safe there, and with Niethal by her side every step of the way, she’s rebuilding the city—and her mind—one day at a time.
For even though Grace survived the ritual all those months ago, her memories did not. And she can’t help but feel like a part of her is missing, no matter how close she and Niethal become…
A BOND FORGOTTEN
As the newly crowned king of Daminae, Isiah Thorne puts the desires of his people—fae and human alike—before his own. But he is lost without Grace, who is unreachable, due in no small part to Niethal locking her away.
Even more troubling is the war that’s brewing between the fae and humans. Isiah will do everything in his power to prevent it, but the generations-old prophecy that led to the two realms being separated a thousand years ago is closer than ever to coming true.
With the fabric of Esmarae perilously close to tearing and an unknown threat lingering in the shadows, Isiah and Grace will need to find their way back to each other to save everything—and everyone—they hold dear.
Michelle Rose, mother, wife, fantasy romance addict, and now author, took her love of reading and created the story she longed to read. She, her husband, and two girls live in a small community in Pennsylvania, surrounded by family and friends. She loves imagining fantastical realms where magic is real, love is fated, and there is always one person who would burn the world to be with you.
I was looking forward to book #2 but found myself skimming/skipping most of it. Once Grace starts remembering everything turns into mostly the same story as before up until the end. I’m not sure I’m going to continue the story unfortunately.
Twisted Fate is the SECOND instalment of the Fated Crossing series by the amazing debut author Michelle Rose.
What an improvement. Between the two novels she has taken on all advice and criticism and created such an amazing new instalment, carrying on the story of Grace and Isiah.
The pace is great, the smoothness in transition is great, the different view points tying events together is fantastic. The plot and plot twists were fantastic and again… THE ENDING?!!! Just amazing.
I’m so proud of how well this novel is written, the improvements she’s made, has made this book my absolute favourite read this year so far.
Michelle, I’ll always be so freaking proud of you but today you’ve made me over the moon proud!!! You did amazing with this novel and I’m so excited to read what happens next with Isiah, Grace and the gang 🥰
SO.... I have this thing where I ALWAYS read the end of a book before I even start it... Like I need to know how it ends before I even begin with the first chapter.... With that being said can you imagine how I felt when I read the words 'HE IS DEAD"...?? I was like whaaaaaaaaaaaat ?!?!? But this book was such a good read for me...I feel like we learn a lot more of the world our characters live in... If you were a fan of FATED CROSSING then you will LOVE TWISTED FATE... I honestly cannot wait until this book comes out and then the third one, so we can continue to follow the journeys of Grace and my shadowy prince.... and obviosuly his majesty KING NIETHAL PRE ORDER FATED CROSSING NOW -- ITS COMING ON JUNE 9TH... LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY !!!

This is the second book in the Fated Crossing series told in multiple POVs.
All I can say is… this book took my heart on a rollercoaster of emotions. I laughed, cried, blushed, and threw my Kindle in rage and dismay. The story is told in three POVs, and the transitions were easy to follow. I enjoyed watching the tension between the characters, romantic and otherwise. I always appreciate it when a villain falls into the “morally gray” category, and you can sympathize before they rip your heart out!
The world-building and magic system was imaginative and kept me guessing what was going to happen next! After reading the first book, I thought I could predict how the world would evolve, but I was so wrong. This unique world will leave you wanting more, and with a cliffhanger ending, I am already dreading the long wait for book three!
Book Two did not disappoint! Picking up right where book one left off, Grace has no memories of her life before the ritual with the king but she knows something is missing. And poor Isiah is all alone and hurt trying to rule his kingdom while hurting from the mating bond and Grace not remembering him. Well eventually Grace remembers and her and Isiah run away again, and plan to stop the king from destroying the world and the almost succeeded. But at last a tear forms and new world and creatures trying to get through. Well in his last act, the king sacrifices himself so Grace won't have to leave Isiah but now she feels even more conflicted about him. But that ending thought, I didn't see it coming!! I hope there is going to be a book three.
I skimmed so much of this book, which is an annoying habit but one I felt forced into here. I mean I would skip 2-4 pages until the next set of dialogue and I didn’t miss anything important… ever. It’s tough when you’re invested in the characters but the actual writing isn’t up to par. I find in many new fantasy books authors focus heavily on deep, lengthy descriptions of extremely minor attributes (insert Tolkien describing a tree here). There are passages that are just overwhelmingly specific and boring and many of the character interactions lacked detail. This would be a much more captivating and successful book if the editor cut about 20% of it. Also it is very strange to read incredibly unique names like Niethal, Isiah, and Corren… with an FMC named GRACE.
Honestly, in love. I don't know how Michelle has done it again, leaving no room to relax I found myself constantly turning the page (clicking the side of the screen to get the next page going) and hanging on for dear life. We see more sides of multiple characters, thicken the plot, stir the spice (IYKYK), simmer in suspense and still have you grasping for more the further you read. I genuinely cannot wait for the next installment to see how Grace (and her love life!) handle the newest CLIFFHANGER (kill me, I wanted more!) because I'm over here like Sherlock Holmes trying to predict what will happen next as I honestly did not see that coming! Bring on book 3, I'm ready 😁
The second installment of this series finds Grace without her memories, developing a relationship (or maybe redeveloping a relationship?) with Niethal, and Isiah dying inside because of his broken bond with his mate.
I question the strength of our little hybrid FMC. She makes a lot of bad choices. She seems like she has a lot of power, but she just keeps throwing it out there with no direction. And then she wallows in guilt and self-loathing like the Grinch. I’m convinced Isiah is the sole reason she continues to get dressed in the morning. Hopefully in book three she becomes the Queen she is destined to be and saves the world.
To actually find a mature fantasy book that does not focus on the childish parts of a relationship. To find elements of real life problems will always resonate with me. Fantasy has a way to my heart; for a book to embody it feels amazing like a literal out of world experience. Ms. Rose does that, she portrays exactly what we a readers want. To find a world, escape form it and cherish the real important parts of what actually matter. I was reluctant to start the series but I am telling you now; you will not regret it.
I know it isn't fair to compare a second book to the first in the series, but this just didn't keep me as interested at the first book. It started out strong, and I honestly HATED watching Grace and Niethal grow close to one another, but also, I really came to feel for him (yikes). The middle portion of the book was a little too similar to the first for me, and at times felt a bit too disconnected from the storyline, but it all came together in the end, and I am intrigued to see where the story will go.
This action packed sequel will have you enamored! There are many plot twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will come next. And to top it off it has a huge cliffhanger that will have you shocked! I mean full jaw drop shocked!
This book picks up shortly after the first book in the series and is constantly unwrapping all of Grace’s complicated feelings. Who will Grace end up with? And will they be able to save the realm?
*Second Book in a series! Read book 1 (Fated Crossing) first. This book was amazing! I could not put it down because I needed to know what happened after the end of Fated Crossing. The characters are great and the story is told from multiple POVs. I cannot what till book 3 comes out! There is a cliffhanger so brace yourself!
I expected a lot, but not this! The story went in a completely different direction, which totally surprised me. Book 1 overwhelmed me a bit more, but I can't wait to see what happens next. Because it seems like working with a certain person that I'd rather see dead than alive is crucial to surviving the next danger. The author definitely knows how to write mean cliffhangers!
Was hooked after the first book in the series. I love the multiple POVs and there are twists and turns, some expected and some absolutely out of nowhere. The character development in this book is amazing. There is action throughout but also a build to the last ~75 pages of mayhem. There is a huge cliff hanger at the end so nowww I need the next book
Continuing on from the previous books cliffhanger, this book follows Grace in her ancestral home and Isiah as they recover from the full out of the ritual.
This book didn't continue the momentum of the previous book for me. I have major issues with female or male characters who fall in a heap for a prolonged amount of time out of heartbreak. There comes a time when you need to get up and just do something. For me, there was too much moping. Then you are thrown into a war and another world is introduced late in the story. The ending is classed as a cliffhanger but I found it too far fetched. I know the story is fantasy but sometimes too much magic can derail the story and I found that here.
If you loved the first one, then by all means read this one, but not a book I highly recommend.
Picking up where we left off. Grace is with Niethal (ick) and Isiah is miserable. Watching Grace struggle with missing memories and people taking advantage of that made my heart ache. I look forward to book 3

How absolutely disappointing and disgusting to have the FMC be intimate with another male. Don't care if she doesn't have memories. She is a weak character and the entire plot felt like cheating. And I don't do cheating.
What a horrific reading experience, I don't care to read any further

I read this book as a beta reader, so I am going to wait on a a star rating until reading the release.
Update: June 6
I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was also on the beta team for this book. I am LOVE with the changes that were made to the book between the last time I read it and this one.
The story is cohesive, jaw-dropping and heart-wrenching at the same time. I am still trying to process what exactly is happening and how Michelle managed to create some many twists and turns (AGAIN) that makes this amazing.
I can't wait to have everyone read this second book and I am so excited for the final installment already.
After devouring this book these few last days, all I can say is BRAVA! Once again Michelle immerses us into the carefully cultivated world of feeling after feeling after feeling. When I tell you this book has you feeling all the emotions, I’m not exaggerating! It had me jumping up, then hunched over, then laying on my back starting at the ceiling trying to wrap my brain around what just happened. If you were a fan of the first book you are sure to love where things are taken in this next book. Absolutely cannot wait to see where things are headed in book 3!!
Man, this one was even worse than the last one, if that’s even possible. I think I wasted time reading this series. It was left at a cliff hanger too so that’s annoying. I’m not reading the third one if there is. The plot was all over the place, she constantly cheats on Isiah with Niethal. Love how Niethal has a nice character arc, but unfortunately he reverts back to evil. He does really love Grace in his own twisted way though, so that’s something. Not gonna read the third book, I’m tired of this world.

i finished this book about an hour ago and i don’t know what to do with myself. i loved the first book but this just took it to a whole other level. i don’t think i have it in me to wait for the next book ESPECIALLY WITH THAT CLIFFHANGER.
