Inheritance is one of those novella's that makes me question my reading experience, because this was a me vs. the novella kind of review. It had everything I should love but I lacked the connection I needed to take it the rest of the way. It had a all star cast, a compelling plot, emotional upsets throughout ... but nada... I felt nothing. I was just reading and thinking I should feel something for these people but sadly I didn't.
There is no order to the Infidelity Universe series. The Infidelity Universe reaches far, while it has no direct ties to Infidelity, it ties in with some key characters in the story. Building onto a world that I have already come to love.

Some books are just that good that you don't need sex in them and Inheritance is one of them. We have the mafia, a gorgeous man, and forbidden love all in this action packed dark read that you won't be able to put down. I've never read T.C. Winters and I'm so glad Infidelity World gave me the chance to do so. Inheritance had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, eagerly turning that pages until there were no more pages to turn.
The cover is eye-catching if it was not part of this series I cannot say if it would or not make be buy this book
ok here goes this is a tricky one because whilst I did like the story in this one there was NO SEX in this book at all like what ?? am I reading YA now? kinda does not fit in with the world and what I have read of it so far, no... nope.. it irked me to no end sorry but seems like an odd fit for infidelity and I really wanted to give the book a 3 star because of this but went for 4 because the story was good, just would have liked to know it was pg clean before I read it is all
Would Dante be my book boyfriend? hmm Maybe but then I don't know if he's good in bed so prob not
Inheritance is written as part as the Infidelity world, based on the Infidelity series by Aleatha Romig. Dante Costello is an established artist, his father Antonio has been estranged from his family for years, but when Antonio is brutally murdered the Costello's come together to find out who is responsible. Appearances from Deloris, Lennox, Oren and the Costello's this is a perfect addition to the series that I loved so much. Really enjoyed this book.
OMG this was an amazing book. What a GREAT spinoff of the Infidelity Series. This was my first book by this author and now I need more. I just could not put it down. It's one of those books that you want to read fast to know what's coming next but also read slow so you don't miss a thing and don't want it to end.
Love this story. This is a suspense, mafia story about Dante and his family. Dante's father got suddenly, brutally killed and left him with his sisters and stepmother in a shock. Dante inherited his fathers money, but also, as he finds out, his fathers debt as well. Story has a lots of twists and turns all the way to the end. It is very well written and it keeps you on the edge of your seat, turning pages just to find out what will happened. I love that author incorporated some love story in there as well, for those romantic soles (readers) out there. Oh and I forgot to mention that I love how she left the story on the end so that she could potentially write more books about Dante. I would love to read more of his story! This is my first book by T.C. winters and I will be definitely checking the rest of her work.
Ok so I'll be honest, T.C Winters "Inheritance" has left me a little conflicted. This book was definitely a story of two halves. The main plot revolved was fantastic and revolved around the mafia and murder. The "who done it" element that ran through the core of this story was brilliant, the mystery and suspense along with the twists and turns really making for edge of the seat reading. Equally I loved that so many characters from the Infidelity series made an appearance. Nox, Oren, Luca and Deloris all made vital parts in how this story played out.
What didn't work for me with the romance element. It didn't feel realistic but more forced if anything. I felt Elena constantly compromised her position and the safety of those she was supposed to be protecting and I just didn't feel the connection between her and Dante. The chemistry and the heat unfortunately fell short for me on this occasion.
Had Dante's story remained more of a thriller/ mob story, I would have been as happy as a pig in muck.
THIS ONE WAS MY FAV!!! I felt like i was reading something Aleatha wrote <3 The twist and turns not knowing what the heck is going on!!! lol. Excellent read! Dante Costello is an artist. He paints. He really doesn't know much about the Mob side of his family, until his father is murdered and he is thrust into this world head first. Now he must rethink everything he thought he knew. He wants revenge but who can he trust when he can't even trust family.
Check out this review and others at www.Twinsietalk.com www.Facebook.com/Twinsietalk www.Twitter.com/Twinsietalk www.Tsu.co/Twinsietalk Newsletter : http://eepurl.com/brwkPv Inheritance by TC Winters I receive this book from the author for an honest review. What the holy Mafia did I read!! Man talk about an episode of The Soprano’s or Good Fellas just hit my kindle. I haven’t read a TC Winters book before but heck will I make sure to check her stuff out in the future. Dante is just living life and enjoying his paint and brushes when he is given the news of his father’s death. The way the news was delivered wasn’t even the most of gentle ways either but when you are in the mafia I guess soft and gentle isn’t exactly the way of the world. This books throws A LOT of names at you and not just names like Sam and Julie. Its full of Italian, Mafia style names so a time or three I was like Wait which guy is this again??? But I was so engrossed in the story I just kept on reading and figured it out as I went. Dante is all about revenging his father death and protecting his family. Good thing Lennox was there from Aleatha Romig’s series!! Nice to have some good family members near ya. Dante is really screwed because it seems every time he thinks he might find out about is father murder he is tossed into more trouble!! The story was great and totally had me going “ I have no frigging clue” on how it would end. TC developed an amazing story of deceit and family…ya know the mafia life!!
Dante is a world renowned artist with ties to the Italian mob. But Dante wants no part of it. However when his Father is found brutally murdered he finds himself knee deep in the life. Lennox is his cousin and he arrives to give his support with Delores and his Father Oren.
Dante soon finds himself trying to solve his Fathers murder after his half sister is accused of the crime. Delores uses all her monumental skill to determine the guilty party as well. Then we get Elena. Beautiful mysterious Elena who Dante soon finds himself falling for.
The was a interesting read with tons of action along with lots of twists and turns. I loved it and was left with a few questions. 4.5 stars.
Inheritance is part of the Infidelity world. We meet Dante Costello, nephew of Deloris who we met in the Infidelity series and worked for Nox (who we get to see again). Dante's father has been murdered and this takes us through the journey of finding who killed him and why. This is full of action, suspense and keeps you on the edge of your seat. A great quick read.
4.5 Stars And MORE of Lennox’s family! Dante has tried to stay out of the “family’s” business but after his father’s murder, he gets sucked right into the middle of it. We get Lennox, Orren, Delores, Luca and even big daddy in this mystery/suspense. There’s some light romance with Elena, his assigned bodyguard. I seriously was kept guessing with who all was involved with murdering his father and why. Even the missing artwork threw me. Where was it? Such a great novella that felt like so much more.
Who doesn't love an artist? I know I do, and Dante is SMOKING! This addition to INFIDELITY WORLD brings an unexpected storyline to Lennox's cousin. Mafia brutality, stolen art, hot couple. Loved every word! Oh! Have a sandwich when you're reading. Better yet, something Italian. TC's description of sex and Italian food will give you an appetite for both! Highly recommend. :)
Loved every book in the Infidelity series by Aleatha Romig, and the Infidelity World stories are fabulous! Must read! T.C. Winters is always a one-click!
A different kind of hero in Dante, and a different love interest in Elena. Another branch in the Infidelity world and Nox really enjoyed another branch in the Infidelity world.
The
Infidelity Series
is one of the most amazing series I’ve ever read, the complexity of the story, characters was one of the things that I loved the most about it, and creating spin offs of it was seriously the best idea ever. Thanks to Aleatha for allowing this to happen, I wish I had the time to read all the stories, maybe one day, but I think the books I chose to read were just right for my current state of mind, I really enjoy them all, especially because despite they were written by different authors, they all maintained the structure and complexity of the Infidelity World created by Aleatha. I recommend everyone who has read the
Infidelity Series,
to read the books from the
Infidelity
World
, and for those who hasn't had the chance to dive into the original series written by Aleatha Romig, I suggest you start with those 5 books, fall in love with Nox, Charli and the other amazing characters, and later read the
Infidelity
World
books. Everything has to have an order, it doesn’t matter all the spinoffs can be read as standalone, they will make more sense and will be enjoyed a lot more if you have met the original characters earlier.
The last book I read was about the other side of the
Infidelity Series
that I really liked so much: The Costello family. This book has all the darkness of the mafia vibe I got from Nox’ family and more. This book is the darkest of the three I read and despite I don’t like much of that genre, I really enjoyed
Inheritance.
There’s mystery and suspense around Dante Costello’s story. It’s intriguing and enticing and despite I don’t read mafia books, It was good enough for me to finish it and like it so much. Dante and Elena’s romance is intense, fitting perfectly with the
Infidelity World
. 100% recommended.
I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. I was drawn in from jump with this book. The suspense and drama was hearts toping. I was forever trying to figure out who was responsible for what was going on and who was leaking information. The twists and turns were thrilling. I never did figure things out OH I thought I knew but in the end I never did. This was a fast pace keep you on your toes kind of read. As soon as you think you were going to get a clue to what was going one BAM something happened and you were no closer to finding out…well ok you may have a little clue but not what you thought you were getting. Then the ending OH WOW….All I can say is Amazing way to end this suspenseful thrilling book. I don’t want to say too much and give it way but this was great read. It was my first Mafia read and I have to say it makes me want to go out and read more of them.

And MORE of Lennox’s family! Dante has tried to stay out of the “family’s” business but after his father’s murder, he gets sucked right into the middle of it. We get Lennox, Orren, Delores, Luca and even Vincent in this mystery/suspense. There’s some light romance with Elena, his assigned bodyguard. I seriously was kept guessing with who all was involved with murdering his father and why. Even the missing artwork threw me. Where was it? Such a great novella that felt like so much more.
This is my first T.C. Winters book and I thought she fit right in to Infidelity Word. A highly suspenseful story told against the backdrop of the mob? How could you NOT like this! It's fast paced and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Dante and Elena's slow burn was just enough for the story, in my opinion. It wasn't about the steamy side, this is all plot driven. Nox and Delores make an appearance but you could easily read this companion book without having read the Infidelity series. She is definitely an author that I need to read more of!
This was my first book by Winters. It also was the first I read from the Infidelity Worlds. I wasn't sure what to expect. I wasn't sure that anyone could write a story based off of Romig's phenomenal series. I was hooked from the first page in this story. I was excited to have some great twists and turns, which kept the book moving at a perfect, fast-paced read. Winters did a wonderful job with the characters and their story. I wanted more and more of them. I wanted more in this story, although the story told itself as it should have been. I definitely will be checking out Winters' others books after the wonderful job done on this story!
Let me start by saying, this is my first ever review or thoughts on a book and putting my thought in writing is scary. I'm just a lover of all aspects of romance and erotica, from light to very dark. So here goes...
Although Inheritance was my least favorite of all the Infidelity World books, I loved the Mafia aspect and the main plot of the story. For me however I felt that there was a lack of depth in the main characters, Dante and Elena. I never got to know them on an intimate level as I did with characters in the other books in Infidelity Worlds. The cast of characters in the books were many, almost too many, woven in and out of the plot. At times I had a hard time keeping track of who's who, as the storyline twisted and turned. Fewer characters, more meat to the story and characters. I think it could have been a better story had it been a novel versus a novella. Maybe it was written this way on purpose, so other authors and pick up the various branches of the main story and run with it.
Let me say I'm a HUGE Nox fan. So the actions and words from Nox left me thinking, who is this man. For me it seems out of character for the man I've grown to love in the series. Why would Nox show up multiple times for family gatherings without his wife Charli. Wouldn't you go to your husband's family's funeral to support them? Anyway just my thoughts.
If you're looking for anything erotic or steaminess in the bedroom, or any location ;-) you won't find it here. There is a HEA, but in a weird way for me. Just not a fan of the book, but I wanted to enough to see it through to the end.
Another great addition to the Infidelity World, Inheritance, by T.C. Winters, provides yet another unique glimpse into Nox's world. Dante, a world-renowned artist who has tried to remove himself from his mob-family relations, suddenly finds his family deep in a tragic and horrifying situation. With the help of his cousin, Nox, and his aunt, Delores (always fun to see her again!), he's plunged head first into a crazy adventure with many twists and turns along the way. While the story was exciting and did hold my interest, I found myself not able to truly connect with the characters as well as I'd hoped to while reading this book. Early on, we meet Elena who is sent to protect Dante and watch his every move. There are hints of a romantic element brewing but I just didn't feel it as strongly as I'd have liked. Of course, this is just my opinion and in no way deters from my recommendation to read this story!
The plot is interesting, and had me wondering how it would all work out in the end. And now I'm left with a few questions and a need for more. I love how the author left the story open for more interpretation and a possible continuation. Inheritance is a fun read and a welcome addition to the Infidelity World collection. Thank you T.C. Winters for creating this story and introducing us to these characters.
Inherirance by T.C. Winters is a story in the Infidelity world following the Infidelity series written by Aleatha Romig. I really liked the writing style of T.C. Winters, the story was a nice look into some of Nox's family and while it had a good story line I just couldn't connect with the characters. I'm just not in to the Dame in Distress books, I like a good, strong, hard headed Hero but instead we got that from the heroine. I would like to see what happens next since the story was left open for another book to pick up on. Thank you for letting me read this book.
Yes! What a story! Mafia? Check! Hot guy? Check! Action packed? Check! Forbidden love? Check! This is my first TC Winters book but definitely won’t be the last. Right from the start you are thrown into Dante’s life. He has a mafia family but his father tried to set them on the straight and narrow. His father is brutally murdered. As the story unfolds one twist turns into two twists and then it just goes on and on. This is one I read start to finish in one sitting. When I did put it down it was only for a moment and I couldn’t wait to get back to see what was going to happen next. The author had me guessing all the way until the end. The setting was great and the characters are even better. Can’t wait to see what else TC Winters has in store for us.
I'm not quite sure what to make of this novel in the Infidelity World series as it's completely different from the other books i've read, concentrating mostly on the mystery and suspense that surrounds Dante after the murder of his father. Shortly after, his sister is framed for the murder and to save his loved ones and find the true murdered, Dante is forced to find a stolen painting and ends up finding much more than he thought in regards to his father. As i've mentioned, I'm still wondering what the link of this novel has to the series, although, i did i like the story behind this book. T.C. Winters is a very good writer, penning a captivating storyline but as was the problem with much of the Infidelity World series, i truly need to start from the very beginning to really enjoy it more than ever.
This is one of the books set inside of the Infidelity World and it's always interesting to see other author's take on little pieces of the original story. I really enjoyed the premise of this story, a mystery/suspense, who-done-it type of novella.
Dante is a famous artist who has just has his world rocked and finds out there is more to his family than he ever imagined. Now with a missing painting and mysterious circumstances surrounding his life we are put smack dab in the middle of some serious drama. Who better to help than is Aunt Deloris and Ms. Flores???
This was a quick read and pretty exciting with a lot of moving and working parts, but the lack of romance did cause for me to lose some of my enjoyment. There was a little romance budding but I have never been a fan of the "fade to black" moments. I either want it all or not at all. The romantic element at times didn't seem to fit into what was happening because there was so much else to figure out and pieces at play. This was well-written and the story definitely worked inside the world.
I like the tie in to the "family" in the Infidelity series. The book left me wanting to know what happens after Dante chooses to stay with his new lady love.
