101 tips about wines for the beginner and also for those who are interested in learning where wines are produced, grape varieties, how to serve, climate of areas and how wine is made.
Some tastes and aromas of apricots, peaches, and pineapples may come from New World Chardonnay, ripe Riesling, or Muscat. The taste of hazlenut or walnut suggests a mature white Burgandy.
Honey flavors are in mature dessert wines or where wines were subject to noble rot. Noble rot is when condition in the fall are warm and humid and the grapes on the vine may be infected by a fungus.
This is a DK Publishers book. It is a small hand size book that is full of information. I gave it a 5 star.
