Is business more important than pleasure? Or is love the true gift of the season?
Thanks to finalizing her divorce from her cheating co-worker of a husband, Janie wasn’t much in the holiday spirit. When a chance encounter puts her face-to-face with a hot Viking who's only in town a couple of weeks, she decides she deserves to give herself a present.
With a new acquisition in the works, Odin travels to Georgia to verify the details of the sale. And after a run-in with a striking woman, he is even more intrigued by just how hot the south can get.
Janie and Odin are fire between the sheets, but reality douses the flame when he walks into her office building as the soon-to-be new owner. Stunned, Janie puts the brakes on the budding relationship. But Odin’s hoping to change her mind and get her to say yes to the holidays.
Cute, steamy holiday romance where the hero becomes the heroines boss. Odin and Janie have chemistry, but Janie is fresh out of a long loveless marriage which adds some angst and heartache to their relationship. Oh, and the new ex husband also works for the company. I found those moments of interaction the most entertaining. #TeamOdin.
I have this paperback and it was on my TBR for the month, but then I was given an audio code from the author and chose that route. Eliza Summers is a great narrator BUT my hang up was not having a male narrator for Odin’s part. Eliza’s sweet southern accent just didn’t fit right for Odin and his strong masculine role. It desperately needed dual narration to work. This is the second audio I’ve listened to with this author / narrator duo and I’ve felt the same both times.
I listened to this on audio, and the single performance was fantastic. The narrator did a great job voicing all the parts, and I loved her masculine voices. The book was short and spicy with such a sweet holiday romance. I highly recommend it, especially during the holiday season.
This novella packed quite a story. If Hallmark had more spice this would fit right in. This was a fun but also emotional romance of finding yourself and love after getting lost in your earlier years. I love the meet-cute all the way to the "it was all you" style ending.
Janie wasn’t in the holiday spirit after finalizing her divorce from her cheating, no good co-worker of a husband. So when fate puts her face-to-face with a hot Viking who's only in town for a couple of weeks, she decides she deserves to give herself an early present! Odin is totally Enthralled with Janie and wants to spend more time with her. Janie and Odin's Chemistry is Undeniable and They're Fire between the sheets! Beware, They May Melt Your E-reader 🔥 It All Becomes Tricky when Odin takes over as Janie's Boss! Can They work through all the workplace rumors and issues to reach Their HEA? I Love this Story so much.. Definitely Your Next 5 ⭐ Read..
Janey's divorce is coming through next week, the day before Thanksgiving, which is why she chooses to go for a drink after work. Odin is visiting the area, planning to investigate in detail, the company he's thinking of buying. They meet accidentally, but Janey acts on impulse and joins him for a drink. A spontaneous relationship ensues with both protagonists being sucked in fast. Covering the period from the weekend before Thanksgiving to Christmas week, it ticks the box for a festive romance. Good characters and an interesting story.
Yes to the Holidays By: April Berry Narrated by: Eliza Summers
April D. Berry’s “Yes to the Holidays” is a delightfully entertaining romance novel that captivates your attention and warms your heart. I adored the two lead characters, Janie Turner and Odin Gärd, they were easy to relate to and care about. Janie and her soon to be ex-husband, Donald, work together for the same company since the start of the company. Their marriage fell apart after she caught him cheating with a person he hired. The divorce will be finalized in a few days, while it is sad she is ok with that. She stopped at the bar to unwind when she runs into a nice looking guy, Odin, who was in Georgia for a business meeting. The two hit it off and enjoyed each other’s company, he was staying in Georgia thru the holidays and convinced her to say yes to the holidays, yes to spend time with him. I loved these two together and for each other, but it turns out he is in town to buy the company where she works. She already had one ex working in the same company as her, would having a relationship with the-soon-to-be owner be a smart move, despite the chemistry between them. Odin will do whatever it takes for her to not walk away from him. I enjoyed how everything played out in this book, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The story has the perfect balance of drama, a touch of angst, mostly from her ex, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Thank you for this wonderfully charming story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Eliza Summers did an amazing job bringing these characters to life and covering both the male and female roles, giving each their own distinct voice making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. She understood the characters was portraying and was believable in every role she played. She set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. Summers is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this wonderful listen.
Yes To The Holidays was a great little short-ish sexy Christmas romance and one of my favorites this year. Janie is about to finalize her divorce from her cheating ex who she found with another woman in the office they both work at. Not feeling the holiday vibes, she heads to a local Atlanta bar and meets Odin, a tall, hot Viking in town for business.
Janie and her ex were hired for her company as a team and they are both pretty successful, but now she has to deal with him every day at work, so when this gorgeous Viking asks her to show him around Atlanta she couldn’t think of a better distraction, until work the next week when they realize that his business in town is buying her company!
Sweet, spicy, and the perfect length of an instalove holiday romance, Yes To The Holidays wasn’t all that memorable, but there was nothing I didn’t like about it. I really enjoyed all the characters and I will be looking for more books from April Berry.
The narrator, Eliza Summers, was fabulous. I hope to hear a lot more from her.

Yesterday was -25, and my head felt like it was in a trash compactor! I needed something to listen to in order to distract me from the pain, and I was in the mood for a perfect Christmas read. So, I played text to speech YES TO THE HOLIDAYS by @aprildberryauthor and got just what the doctor ordered and THEN some! 😳🤯🤤
When Odin picks up Janie by chance in a bar, and a one nightstand turns into more than either bargained for within the first couple of chapters, you know you’re in for a delicious read and panty sales to jump YET AGAIN thanks to April…😋
Then you add Janie about to be released from her scum of a cheating husband in a week, Odin unknowingly buying the company she works for, and chemistry that’s so hot the -25 degrees goes unnoticed, along with other mayhem in between, well…yeah. You get another 5 ⭐️ read.
The only problem now is I have yet another fictional character to become a real man to put on my Christmas list, and I don’t know which list I’m on due to my booktoker unaliving spree…🤷🏻♀️ Is it really that naughty if Santa gave me most of the ideas, and it’s what everyone begged for?…🤔 I guess I will find out for Christmas. 🤷🏻♀️
Yes to the Holidays By: April Berry Narrated by: Eliza Summers
Love can find you in the most unexpected places. Janie, recently divorcing her cheating husband Donald has set out to just enjoy herself a few days before the it's final. Stopping at a bar, she gets herself a drink and begins to relax when Odin catches her eye. These two have a chemistry and end up in a steamy one night stand. Ok...maybe not just one night. The two are so into each other, they decide to spend Thanksgiving together and once the holidays are over, they will part ways. Or so they thought. Odin cannot stop thinking about her, and lo and behold as he walks into the company he is acquiring, who should be working there, but Janie! This is a fun, steamy, holiday romance! I enjoyed the banter, the passion and the push pull as these two find their way. I love to hate Donald and his shenanigans! The perfect mix of office romance and true love! The perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.
Eliza Summers tells their story with a fabulous narration. Easily distinguishable voices, she gives both male and female characters the perfect sound for their personality. I enjoyed her portrayal of each and she made my weekend enjoyable.
When I say I want a sweet, spicy, adorable romance novel, this book is exactly it!!! It's sweet. It's short. It has the spice. It has drama. But what it doesn't have is a dragged out plotline. Less than 200 pages and told the story exactly they way it needed to be done. Janie and Odin are perfection together. My biggest love of the book was the fact that everyone hated, even Shelley, Donald. The fact that Eddie didn't even want to bring him along but wanted Janie enough to put up with him. Oh, it made my day!!! Love Janie as the big boss lady!!! She's fabulous. Also, Odin is a freaking God, and I love him
This was a good short Insta love holiday romance. Janie is in the process of a divorce right before Thanksgiving. Not only does she have to see her soon to be ex and the girl he cheated with since they all work together everyday, she finds she needs a date for the upcoming holiday party. Going to a bar for a drink she runs into Oden an out of towner they hook up and she plans to show him around since he will be visiting every now and then. But imagine her surprise when she walks into work and not only discovers her boss is selling the company but her new boss is her hook up. It was an enjoyable audio. The narrators did a really great job telling the story.
This was such a great book. I love reading stories where the FMC is NOT dependent on a man!
In fact, in this story, Janie is a week shy of signing divorce papers when she meets Odin at the local pub. They hit it off RIGHT away and Janie goes all in, saying F* It, Time to live!
Their chemistry was off the charts and I loved the way Odin doted on Janie, without it being overwhelming or overly predictable.
I loved Janie & Odin (and I'd love to hear more about them)!! The story was so cute and super spicy! A definite must-read for the holiday season!!
I recommend hopping right into this cute little holiday romance! Janie wasn't really feeling the holidays with having a divorce and still working in the same place as her ex-husband. In comes a mystery man, Odin, who quickly starts taking down the walls she has built up. Although both went into it thinking there was an expiration, feelings still start building.. but OH! Plot twist, Odin is buying where Janie works! Can she have her cake and eat it with her dream guy and keep her dream job...? Seriously, go and read this and find out!

YES TO THE HOLIDAYS is such a cute contemporary office romance with a recently divorced MC (that would be Janie), a loathsome ex (looking at you, Donald), a cool boss (I loved Eddie), and a hot viking Janie meets who she falls for (Odin!) Janie and Odin meet at a bar and things quickly heat up. This book is spicy, y’all, and I was there for it. It’s also got a great Georgia setting, with peach cobbler, Blue Moon beers, breweries and local farms, and iconic eateries in town (loved the hot dogs.) When love and business mix, things get complicated. I loved how easy and breezy this was as a romance read (sometimes my migraine brain needs something that I can just sit back and relax and chill through!) and it had the perfect blend of tension and a lovely HEA! 5/5 stars.
This book was the perfect bite-sized holiday romcom! Odin is the God-like Viking who's in town for business when he sees Janie. She's everything he hadn't known he needed and he's the exact cure for what she's going through.
There's a twist of fate that pushes them together and apart at the same time.
I've decided that I'm moving to Georgia to find an Odin of my own! 10000/10 recommend!!!
Janie isn’t really looking forward to the holidays since she’s nearing finalizing her divorce and doesn’t relish being grilled by her family. One night after work she decides to stop by a nearby pub for a drink and meets Odin who is in town for a few weeks on business. After they have a few drinks, some dinner, and some scintillating conversation they end up at Odin’s hotel. There are a few surprises afterward and don’t let the cover fool you! There are quite a few spicy moments.
This was a cute and fast read with a good amount of spice.
Janie is just days away from finalizing her divorce. With the holidays right around the corner, she’s not in the mood to celebrate. But a night out brings her into the arms of Odin. He’s in town getting to know the area before he acquires one of the companies in the city.
I love holiday novellas especially when you need a cleanser in between heavy books. This was perfect and what I needed.
Such a fun holiday read! This novella is perfect for those who need something quick and spicy for the holiday season! I loved Odin and Janie and their story! After Janie’s boyfriend cheats on her and then brings that girl to work with them she has to deal with drama at work and try to avoid dealing with Donald as much as possible. Then one night she meets Odin and woo that man 🥵 I’ll take me a Viking a suit any day 😂 he fell hard and fast and wasn’t gonna let her go no matter what 😆
April Berry has done it again! Janie is days from her divorce being final. Odin is days from buying a new business. After a chance meeting, and spicy night together, their story has just begun. Janie finds her holiday cheer and herself. Odin finds a great business opporunity, and a partner for life. If you like boss romances, this is the story for you!
This was a fun, hot spicy read and at the same time, cute and adorable! Janie, a businesswoman done wrong, and Odin, a handsome businessman wanting to do right, find themselves attracted to each other, not knowing what the future holds! Will business come first or can they find a happy ending together?
This was a good one! Janie is freshly divorced from her cheating ex. One night after work she heads out for a drink and she meets a Viking god like man. Odin is in town for business and getting a lay of the land before acquiring a new firm. He never meant to meet anyone but he instantly feels sparks for Janie. These two are so sweet together. There definitely some sugar and spice in this book.
April writes the best feel good romance! Adorable meet cute, and let me say I want an office Viking! I love that April brings us this adorable holiday story that takes us from just before thanksgiving to Christmas and gives us all the feels and the spice! She gives us a strong female lead who rediscovers just how boss she is and gives us the best male lead who supports his girl.
Oden and Jane are perfect for each other. He let's her be the strong, powerful woman she is. She's worried about office politics and what others will say. This is a short, steamy instant romance with a little drama. Eliza Summers narration is very animated and a joy to listen to this audio. very well done!.
