Major universities all over India have introduced a new subject on Total Quality Management . A common paper for all the branches in engineering to be studied during their course. There are not many books in the market, which can cater to the whole needs of the prescribed syllabus. This was the reason and the inspiring force which pushed the author into the venture of writing this book on TQM. It was primarily meant for his students, which has later been manifested into a textbook. The intention of the author in bringing out this book is to make easy the subject and to increase the students' ability/capacity in facing the exams. This is a first venture to bring out a book on Total Quality Management. Here all efforts have been made to cover each and every line of the syllabus. The book is easy to use, suitable for independent study as well as in the classroom. About The Dr. S. Kumar (Doctoral Student) is working as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Arulmigu Meenakshi Amman College of Engineering, Vadamavandal, Near Kanchipuram. He has a teaching experience of more than six years. He obtained his B.E. Civil Engineering degree in 1995 from S.R.M. Engineering College, then his M.E. degree (Irrigation Water Management) in 1998: from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University. He completed his Ph. D. under the Dr. K.
