Ericka K.F.Simpson was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. Her passion for writing began in grade school when she started writing poetry. In June 2010, Ericka won the Black Writers Reunion and Conference 2010 Atlanta Scholarship Competition. She currently lives in Macon, GA where she is finishing her Bachelors degree in Organizational Psychology and finishing her sixth fiction novel, bringing her total number of books published to seven.
So often I find myself caught up in the day to day hustle of work and bills. Reading this helped me stop and remember that there is so much more to living my best life. Thanks
Making Our Difference turned out to be quite a book. Here you have four lesbian couples who are dealing with the ups and downs of monogamy and marriage, parenthood, illness and faith. The women are united in genuine friendship, and bonded as family because of the way the world perceives their sexuality. God also plays a big role in their lives, as well, but that aspect blended in nicely (not doggedly) with the plot. I loved that. Great book.
