A Seemingly Senseless Act

Rate this book
Power is intoxicating, and as the President of the United States, one person is entrusted with the greatest reserve of absolute power in the world. Every four years our country avails itself to the possibility of a shift in that power, and as the country clamors for either stability or change in the administration, two would-be-kings stand silently in the wings, waiting to hear which one had been chosen. The actual transition of power is painless; the new order waits at the front door for the marching bands, while the old slips silently out the back. There are no regrets, just sighs of relief as the former President goes back to the life he had carved for himself before his term in office; back to when things were simple. But, power is intoxicating.

Years ago Pete Catalano found an Artifact that allows him to write great Middle Grade stories. Keeping it a secret but putting it to good use, he's completed several new novels, and not surprisingly, can be found always working on the next new idea. He lives in Charlotte, NC with one beautiful wife, two very needy one hundred pound sheep dogs, and a multitude of characters inside his head -- battling to get out.

A member of The Sweet Sixteens, Pete's debut middle grade novel, ARTIFACTS, is slated for release on May 17, 2016 from Month9Books.
