One Soul, One Love, One Heart: The Sacred Path to Healing All Relationships

Rate this book
How do we heal our difficult relationships and nurture our healthy ones? What is their significance in our spiritual life? In this deeply moving, groundbreaking book, John E. Welshons answers these questions and many more. He shows why the path to real and lasting happiness lies in recognizing that we are all One, and in living in that awareness. He shows us how to heal our most difficult relationships by transforming them into our greatest spiritual lessons and how to love, forgive, and care for our fellow human beings — even those we find most difficult to love and forgive. With compassion and wisdom, Welshons invites us into a revolutionary new understanding of ourselves, our spiritual life, our world, and all our relationships.

Everyone has at least one person in their lives that is difficult. Yes, we all know we should love everyone unconditional, as ourselves. That’s very easy to do so with people who are pleasant but with this particular person, it seems impossible.

The ironic thing is that we learn far more about ourselves from the difficult than we do from the easy and lighthearted. Like the monk who became an adept at meditation but the moment he encountered other people found that he couldn’t find any semblance of peace or serenity, you never really know yourself until you are challenged. Really, it comes down to seeing the interconnection between the external and internal.

One Soul, One Love, One Heart is a fabulous book. Several times while reading, I had one of those ah-ha moments. Things that were just on the edge of my sightline suddenly became clearer.

In particular, I was inspired by the author’s experience with his father. Over the years, their relationship had been a tug of war which caused the author great frustration and anger. The answer, treat him as a guru. Never question that he is trying to help you learn about yourself. Good advice.

This book is for everyone! ... not just people who practice Yoga, however I discovered the book at the little library in the Yoga Studio I go to. The cover's subtitle is "The Sacred Path to Healing All Relationships" but I wasn't thinking on those lines. I believe this book is SO much more than healing relationships. It's about seeking compassion and understanding in everyone. EVERY ONE. God is love - Love is God. We are all ONE.

I loved this book!! John Welshons explores all types of relationships with a unique perspective of wisdom, kindness and all inclusive spirituality. He teaches that we are all part of One - we are all connected. Shifting our focus from me to us empowers ourselves and each other. The whole world should read this book.

This book offers great insights into healing relationships and strengthening love. Welshons cites, supports and expands on Harville Hendrix's book Getting The Love You Want. One Soul, One Love, One Heart is a great follow up book to the Hendrix book.
