In a world where heroes are created in a lab, those born with a gift are at risk. Not all of the scientists are doing this for the right reason. Not all of the progress made over the years has been humane…Not all of the gifted want to become heroes.

All I want is to protect those like me.

My mother and I were abducted while on a trip into the city. Despite being a test subject as a child and losing everything I ever knew; I’ve grown into the leader my people look to for protection and guidance.

When we rescue a small group of gifted from one of the rogue facilities, I not only find the person who makes my heart beat faster, but also a chance of learning the truth about what happened to my mother after I escaped.

My name is KAE Galla and I've loved writing since before I knew how. I'd sit with my mom and grandma telling them exactly what I wanted my story to be, and they would write it down under misshapen scribbles I tried to pass off as art work. It wasn't until years later that I finally decided to go full throttle with my passion and share it with the world. Now, thanks to the support of my loving family, great friends, and an amazing team, my dream of becoming an author are reality.
