Bradley Charbonneau

Bradley Charbonneau has blah blah blah written 33 books and held a write-every-single-day streak of 2,808 days in a row. Yeah, whatever. Who cares, right?

Do you know what Bradley's best numbers are?

Zero and One.

Zero is the number of books he had before he started writing even One day in a row.

One is the number of books (and days in a row) he wrote once he finally got over his imposter syndrome, his perfectionism, doubt, fear, anxiety, and last but not least: procrastination.

The problem was that he started out trying to write his Best Book Ever. (PRO TIP: impossible)

It would have made things a whole lot easier, faster, and a ton more fun had he only started with his Worst Book Ever.

Join him twice a year in starting--and finishing--your first (and hopefully worst) book at worst.repossible.com.

"Frequency: Tune In to the Rhythm of Your Best Self: How Often to Do What (and Why) (Confidence Book 1)" by Bradley Charbonneau is an engaging and insightful self-help book that delves into the concept of aligning one's actions with their inner rhythm to achieve personal growth and fulfillment. Charbonneau explores the importance of regularity and consistency in various aspects of life, offering readers practical advice on how to create and maintain beneficial habits. The book is structured to help individuals discover their optimal frequency for different activities, thereby enhancing their overall well-being and productivity.

Charbonneau's writing style is approachable and relatable, making complex psychological and motivational concepts accessible to a broad audience. He uses a combination of personal anecdotes, research, and actionable tips to illustrate his points, which adds depth and credibility to his arguments. The book's tone is encouraging and motivational, aiming to inspire readers to take small, manageable steps toward positive change. Charbonneau emphasizes the significance of self-awareness and introspection in identifying what works best for each individual.

One of the strengths of the book is its practical approach. Charbonneau provides specific strategies and exercises that readers can implement immediately to start tuning into their best selves. These exercises are designed to be simple yet effective, encouraging readers to experiment and find what resonates most with them. The emphasis on experimentation and personalization is a refreshing departure from one-size-fits-all advice often found in self-help literature.

Another notable aspect of the book is its focus on the balance between structure and flexibility. Charbonneau acknowledges that while consistency is key, it is also important to remain adaptable and open to change. This balanced perspective helps readers understand that personal growth is a dynamic process, requiring both discipline and the ability to adjust one's approach as needed. The book encourages a mindset of continuous learning and improvement, fostering a more sustainable and enjoyable path to self-improvement.

The reason I gave this book a 4 out of 5-star rating is that while it offers valuable insights and practical advice, some readers might find the concepts and exercises somewhat repetitive. Additionally, those looking for a more in-depth exploration of psychological theories may find the book's approach relatively surface-level. However, for those seeking a motivational and easy-to-follow guide to better habits and self-improvement, "Frequency: Tune In to the Rhythm of Your Best Self" is an excellent resource that delivers on its promise to help readers find their optimal frequency for living a fulfilling life.

Delightful Read

I really like the authors language and how simple he has made the concepts. Particularly impressed by ending each chapter with a 3 line gist (possible, impossible, repossible).

Although non-fiction, it was like reading through a nice story. As he says in the book, it does not mean anything unless you put these into practice.
