Life has dealt Niki Shisler some cruel blows including years of abuse and addiction, a child that dies soon after birth and another severely disabled. But in this moving and inspiring book she shows that there is always light to be found, even on the darkest days.
In the first few chapters of this book I wasn't sure whether I would get into it, but the further I read, the more I wanted to read. Niki Shisler has faced enormous challenges as has her family and especially her twin sons Theo and Felix. I have grown up with a disabled sister and can identify at least a little with what they faced and continue to face.I wondered at first who was the "Fragile" one in the story but I came away realizing that we are all fragile and that life can change in a moment. Niki shared how important an online Twin's support group was to her in coping and as a pre-natal instructor, I know many pregnant women find such groups immensely helpful. I was fascinated enough to google and see what more I could find of this family's story beyond what the book shares.
